LOL I replayed your reaction to Felix' intro on Runners 3 times it was delightful! He has been taking vocal lessons and his natural singing has gotten so much stronger! He actually opened Stray Kids too, I'm not sure if you caught that! I need to run through everything you've reacted to because I think you'd really enjoy their Two Kids Show performances from a vocal standpoint. Always enjoy your reactions and appreciate your perspective! PS - Heads up that there is going to be an MV for Stray Kids on Thursday!!! Oh and another next Wednesday (8.07)! We won't know until Monday what song it's gonna be. It could be Slash OST from Deadpool, but my guess would be JJAM, though I would be satisfied with ANYTHING because all of the songs are so good!

Glad you were able to check out the album! Hope you were able to see the lyrics as well at some point, as they were entirely written by the boys. I feel like it gives so much more meaning to the songs. There were no additional songwriters on this album, except for one on "I Like It." 3Racha (Han, Changbin, and Chan) also were involved in the composition of every song, with Chan also arranging 5/8 of the songs.

Yes... yes that IS the perfect name for this album. That was WILD. And as someone who actually understands quite a bit of Korean... It was also HILARIOUS yet BEAUTIFUL, CLEVER yet RELATABLE, and CONFIDENT yet HUMBLE. Honestly... That was actually a great album! (Not that my opinion matters much of course lol) The songs are REALLY WELL PRODUCED! (Seriously, the depth of that production screams time, talent, and a deep love for the craft.) Meanwhile, that genre blending is WILD, the rappers are INSANELY fast yet have impeccable diction, enunciation, very unique deliveries and advanced flows. As for their vocals, they for sure have two very "breathy" vocalists, which honestly is a great asset for them. Specially with such hardcore rappers, it makes for an amazingly stark contrast. SPECIALLY when they're coming off of other members voices who happen go possess the completely different tonality and fullness, or even a polar opposite range! (FREAKING STRAIGHT UP BASS 🤣) It gives them the unique ability to PROPERLY create songs with majorly contrasting elements. Such as the blending of genres, and a satisfying transition from intense to soft. One would think that it would feel forced, or messy, or just... unnatural. Instead, paired with a similar degree in shift and beat, they still somehow manage to keep the songs overall essence, despite completely changing the vibe. Which actually allows them to go back and forth in those elemental shifts in an esthetically pleasing way..... it feels seamless, and edgy. Very progressive and experimental in the best possible way. They truly seem to have quite the extensive arsenal of skills, a unique and interesting signature sound, boundless energy, and a shit load of talent to bring it all home. No joke though, some of their members vocal skills are absolutely STUNNING! A few of them have some extensive vocal training and/or natural talent. That's for damn sure. However they are all very good. At the end of the day, they give me the feeling that they know who they are. They know they are unique and impressive, but they also know they won't fit everyones taste, which actually seems to be an active choice they are making as opposed to a limitation. In other words, they couple sell out, make some easily digestible music that's indistinguishable from anyone else, with basic instrumentals, heavily edited voices. I picked up some fun and thoughtfully placed effects, however even then, it's like they were avoiding the use of autotune even as an esthetic. Possibly done due to keep the consistency I picked up on throughout the album.... constantly fluctuating and CLEAN. I'm assuming they wanted to keep those elements for the sake of creating... ugh, I cant think of the right words lol because " a consistent level of sound quality" isn't right. Basically, they avoided muddying, diluting, or actually augmenting the vocals. Or deprive them of the tiniest nuances, whether it be an "imperfection" or a defining characteristic. (I can ACTUALLY HEAR that they are DIFFERENT PEOPLE! 🥹 That shouldn't be as shocking as it is. Lol) Instead, they seem to have utilized a method of application I haven't seen since the early days of digital music production of rock music, the good days when rock artists had a hate on for the autotune pop robots. It required you sat your ass down for DAYS and INDIVIDUALLY applied an effect to ONLY THE END of the specific words/sounds. Thereby preserving the quality of and nuances in their vocals. Not to mention it's authenticity. Very cool. To put it simply.... The wayward children definitely found their home in music. Love it, like it or it's not your cup or tea, but when you put as much obvious love and effort, genuine skill, and immense depth of production... (THE LAYERS!) You truly can't help but at LEAST respect it for what it is. There's not such thing as bad when it's got this level of quality. I actually really REALLY enjoyed that. Talented young men, pushing mysic forward instead of resting in the safe zone, making music that's already been made a million times, and is so indistinguishable from the others that people are ACTUALLY MAKING songs that have LITERALLY already been made, ON ACCIDENT, and losing copyright lawsuits over it. Hence the worlds music industries current epidemic regarding plagiarism. I get the feeling that these guys haven't had an issue with doing that. More importantly, they are obviously enjoying what it is they do, because they know they are doing it VERY well. I truly hope they take over the world the best that an artist who's music is this experimental can. Become the mainstream artist whose anything but mainstream. I hope they always stay true to themselves. After all, this is what I think the world needs. Music is only as good as your brain is in it capabilities to become diversified and broaden it's learned music understanding. We aren't born liking any particular kind of music. It's all about repeated overall exposure to the new and unfamiliar that allows our minds to become familiar with it. Our minds like familiar because the part of our brain the dealing with auditory stimulation is capable of sorting it faster and thus we are able to enjoy that song on the first listen. That's what makes a song good to most people. The ability to automatically enjoy it. And they have the preconceived notion that if they don't, its not good music. Which just isn't true. Yea, there is bad music, one is called a car crash. Lol but if it has the necessary factors to call it ACTUAL music, and it's liked by a decent number of people. Then its not bad music, those saying that are just have repressed minds. Literally. They have stunted their minds by way of refusing it growth. They don't automatically love a song they move on. Which is their right to do. But the world of music is so much brighter if your mind is eclectic in it's love for music. If people would just give everything a second listen, they would be surprised by the difference so many songs would suddenly have. Which is the best talent an artist can have. Self production, they create and recreate, and set aside, and return, and adjust and then get ready to release it and they still have to love their own music because they still have to perform it countless times. So by the time they release it, they have rebuilt that song 3 times over and it has GROWN with them. They have listened to it a thousand times and STILL LOVE IT enough to release it. THAT'S why all the OG self produced artists who put their eveything into their craft are the ones who become timeless legends and the fathers of entire genres and are BELOVED... Meanwhile the most trendy household names today go down in history for everything BUT their music. Because the aforementioned have created something that only gets BETTER the more you listen to it and the more time goes by whist simultaneously being unique. Yeah, you will have to listen a time of two if the overall sound is new to you but once your mind learns their signature, you can then enjoy it the way they meant for it to be. After all, they had to like it after so many listens, and in ensuring that, they were also elevating it's depth. (Haha) So yeah, you have to adjust to that depth, but once you do.... the water is perfect. Whilst the more generated popstars whoa music is outsourced, yeah, they are "easily digestible" and "instant hits" but that's because a bunch of big wigs who have no business making music have passed around the writing, composition, production and even the arrangement for it to 4 completely different groups of people. And demanded a song people will love on the first listen. Well, anyone can make that. Which is why everyone has. And yeah people like easy listening, but its always also easily forgettable, or worse... unforgettable and makes you feel as if you want to beat your head against the wall until it's erased. My point is, I hope these young men keep it up, because what they are doing is amazing and unfortunately, there's barely ANY idols like them in k-pop. Meanwhile, people need to learn that music is learned, it's their fault if they don't like something. Not the artist. That's just a simple fact.
