I think you are absolutely right John, a song can make you feel and think differently depending on not only the way its sung and presented to you, but your own mind set at the time. When they say music speaks, it truly does!

2024-08-08 21:44:23 +0000 UTCI saw a program that both Dimash and Igor were on. Igor said his mother, who was also present, had been bugging him to see Dimash perform, so he did, and he knew he wanted to work with him.

2024-02-09 22:32:06 +0000 UTCI love watching people react to this one since it was my first Dimash concert I attended after having been a Dear for only a few months at that point. Flew from Germany to Kazakhstan only for the concert, worth every cent!! Since then I‘ve been to two more (Düsseldorf and Prague) and hope to have many more to come!! I would love seeing your reaction to his 2017 concert Bastau. It was his first big concert after returning from The Singer in China. Even though it’s a big production as well, it has such a different feel to his more recent concerts, lots of different songs you wouldn’t know yet as well. Hope you get to it sometime ☺️

2023-11-02 22:23:32 +0000 UTCOh yes, thanks for a good explanation of what went on in The World's Best. When it comes to Krutoy, the coming out of retirement thing is just a myth, but he surely got invigorated when he go acquainted with Dimash and started composing for him and working with him. The event where Igor watched Dimash sing Sinful Passion was New Wave, his OWN event, so, that was not where he discovered him as he would have invited Dimash there himself. Not sure where that story originates from. There's a few different versions about how they met, but i think it was an introduction through a common acquaintance (i think one story quote Khizri, his ex tour manager, one story quoted a party by a fashion or watch designer or something where they were introduced. I also heard somewhere that Igor had already seen him on Youtube and got interested. Anyway. The bottom line is that Dimash had wanted to work with him since he was a CHILD, so it's amazing that they became collaborators and very close friends.

2023-11-02 22:22:20 +0000 UTCThank you so much John for the reaction to this Dimash’s Arnau concert. I’m always playing his diff concerts daily, also after my little exercise or when relaxing, and I enjoyed it again together with your nice reactions. Can you please react to his most recent performance in China for the song “Battle of Memories” https://youtu.be/LD5xC1p7qIw?si=ahO9qK_3-jFhKaO0

2023-11-02 15:45:21 +0000 UTCGreat reaction to an amazing concert! I think he’s always more serious when performing in his home country. Regal, definitely; that’s why we call him “Prince Dimash” The show they included in the montage was an American one called “The World’s Best.” Dimash was invited to compete on it, but was told he would only be competing against adults. He was clearly going to win and collect the million dollar prize, when he discovered there were children in the competition. He quit the show, on air, because of his principles. The show treated him badly as he was explaining his reasons, and afterwards they edited his performances down to the bare minimum. However, during his initial performance of SOS, he of course blew the international panel of judges away. Do not waste your time watching any clips from that show. As for Mr. Krutoy, I believe he came out of retirement after seeing/hearing Dimash sing “Sinful Passion.” If you re-watch that video, you’ll see Igor in the first row standing up at the end of the song. He is brilliant, and he and Dimash are magical together.

2023-11-02 13:10:32 +0000 UTCHi John I already commented below with my thanks for the concert. But wanted to add something. You keep asking how Dimash and Igor came to find each other and I didn't see anyone answering.. so here is to my knowledge how they became the best duo in history! Igor was in the audience when Dimash sung his most famous rendition of sinful passion. He was in front row and at the end of the performance you see Igor standing and applauding Dimash. After the performance Igor went to Dimash and that's the short story of this duo. Igor was actually partly retired and came out of retirement to work and compose with Dimash! And then MAGIC. Again thank you for your reactions and your love and appreciation for our Dimash . Love you from a Oklahoma Dear ❤️ For some reason the link I had copied for the performance won't work but it is his socci performance. The one where he is In black tux and where he makes his speech at the end of the performance.. ❤️❤️

2023-11-02 12:01:33 +0000 UTCHi John, thanks so much for doing this!! So nice watching with you. I love your commentary on the instruments, i think i personally miss a lot of what's going on with them because i'm so focused on Dimash's voice, so it's appreciated, even more would be nice! You asked some questions during the concert but i started taking notes too late, lol! So i can't remember all of them... But here's some thoughts and information i thought of while watching.... - First of all, i absolutely love your positivity, you always have something nice to say, and always concentrate on the good things. It makes watching your reactions so pleasant, also knowing that you genuinely have these positive opinions, even if, like all of us, you may have some other thoughts, too, but they don't need to be expressed. I am breaking this myself now though, immediately, lol, by saying that i personally during my over 3 years of being a dear have never managed to endure one Stand Up in its entirety, the cringe is just too high, so kudos to you for not only doing that but also finding good things to say. And Dimash's drumming, i loved your honesty, you're not here to pretend he's the best in the world in everything to gain likes from Dears, yet you had a very positive take on it and exactly the same as me, i think he is frickin awesome for doing things on stage that he knows he's not the best at but enjoys doing anyway and knows that people like seeing him doing different things. He can play better than he did in this concert though, it's a "hit and miss", haha! He has done some cool stuff. But he could play a toy ukulele and i'd listen to him. Obviously i'm a massive Dear, but, or rather *and*, i have no need for him to be perfect. Being a human being is perfect for me! - Yes, the people who you thought were his mum and dad were, indeed. And the older people who were interviewed in the same clip were his paternal grandparents, the ones who raised him and who he is calling mum and dad in the concert and introducing as his parents. I'm sure dears have already told you about this Kazakh tradition his family followed when he was a child, so essentially he has had 2 sets of parents. - I think you did not realise that the kid playing the dombra that Dimash introduced as the youngest of the family was his brother Mansur (Abilmansur), who you saw on stage with him in the Almaty concert (2022), playing piano and guitar. This one here was in 2019, so he was 12 years old. - Mansur and Dimash's sister Raushan are his only siblings. So when he called Jordan his "sister-in-law", it's only because he considers her husband Erlan, the sound producer, as close as a brother. They have recently separated though and as you know Jordan has quit being Dimash's backing vocalist. - Others have already told you about the tragedy of Denis Ten :/ The other incident he mentioned, was some kind of an accident that took quite a few lives in the city that he mentioned, i can't remember the details anymore. There seems to be tragic incidents a little too often, only a few days ago now Dimash posted his condolences to the families of dozens of miners who died in a coal mine fire. :( - I think you are spot on with your observations about his mood and mode in his different concerts. He is always a little bit more serious in Kazakhstan, i think there is more pressure. (He said a few years ago that performing in Kazakhstan always feels like an exam in front of his teachers :D) There's some things he takes very seriously, as you would know by now. The culture in Kazakhstan is a little different to some other countries, too, audiences are less crazy and emotional etc.... So it is also a cultural thing. But as he is gaining confidence and has his own way of doing things, i think this is changing a little and the country where he performs affects him less, just his mood or other circumstances. By the way his New York concert was only a few months after this one. - I had to laugh to myself when you were wondering what songs were left where there was 20 minutes to go. That's the length of Screaming, my friend XD But yes, as others have mentioned, there was another song, Just Let It Be, after that, that for some reason has been cut out. It used to be part of that video, too. If you want to give yourself closure, you can watch it here https://youtu.be/1ZuYkgXQxUE?si=GpusQw6t9D2BtokE Have a great day!

2023-11-02 08:42:29 +0000 UTCDenis Ten, was murdered the year before this concert. He was a figure skater who won the bronze medal in the Olympics. That little boy who sang with him has his own Youtube channel with his Dimash covers. Also this concert was 3 hours long, for some reason 2 songs was cut out. Love of Tired Swans and the last song, Let it Be, which someone posted on their youtube. https://youtu.be/3Rz9Qv_Kw5Y?si=-WnNaLOQJpKvq_QH

2023-11-02 00:35:21 +0000 UTCThanks John ❤️ big big concert and still they did cut parts, I don't know why! For example love of tired swans, they only show the end where he sings with the audience and the last song "let it be" was cut off too 😞 His friend Denis Ten was a famous figure skater, two time world medalist but he also liked singing. He was stabbed by carjackers that were trying to steal his wing mirrors, in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Very sad 😞

2023-11-01 22:52:50 +0000 UTCAwh, they cut off Let It Be at the end of the concert when he went up to the ceiling on that platform 😭

2023-11-01 22:42:29 +0000 UTCJust an FYI.... Denis was a longtime friend of Dimash's who was murdered when some robbers stabbed him to death over car mirrors! He was only 25 yrs old. Such a waste :( He was also an Olympic Ice Skater and sang. Here is some info: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denis_Ten Dimash dedicated SOS to him so it was even more emotional especially with his parents there.
