Dimash - Almaty Concert | part 3

Part 3 Was EVERYTHING i was hoping it would be and more... Story of One Sky got me...

Dimash - Almaty Concert | part 3

Comments

It is a cry of helplessness and despair for what he cannot control, it is truly overwhelming. I cried too, it is the result of when an artist gives himself to the core.

Cory Soles

Dimash is so generous, he loves music so much that he gives him a lot of space to show spectacular Kazakh music, and he gives work to hundreds of artists!! I LOVE HIM

Cory Soles

He is a big MJ fan ❤️

I’ve been to quite a few concerts since last year & I have to say that recording a few songs from a concert isn’t really a bad thing. I loved going back to my videos and reminisce my special day. That’s also including a few song from D’s concert in NYC. Katy someday soon I hope & pray Dimash will have another concert in the USA 🇺🇸

Verna

So glad you enjoyed D’s concert. I love Dimash as a singer, he is the best. I love him even more as a human being. It sounds so cliche that is how Dears truly feel. Thank you for your sincere and loving support to our Kazakh Prince. ❤️

Verna

Yes, Jordan quit as his backup singer to pursue her own career, but she came back to this big show in Kazakhstan. He has a new person who has replaced her since.

HI John, i haven't finished watching yet so i'll likely have more to say, but for now, i just want to comment, that that vocalise part indeed is a lament; not only is he combining themes from several world religions (the OM, the church bells, the horn, I'm probably missing something) , but the fast throat trill is used in some cultures for mourning. I read (have not verified anywhere, YT comments are full of fluke information so don't take my word for it) that he originally added it to Sinful Passion because the original singer of the song had just passed when he performed it at Slavic Bazaar. Nevertheless, here it is definitely symbolising mourning. In the music video it coincides with the scene where the main character finds his daughter dead.

I loved your reaction to this amazing concert.🤗 Dimash, as always, insane!❤️ I admire you, follow you and I really enjoy your reactions. Always so genuine and refreshing. I like you have many things in common with Dimash about life and music; that speaks well about you. In fact, I'm just discovering Dimash; although I could already write his biography from memory.☺️ I love the way he express music, as well as his beautiful personality. I have never seen Dimash in Live. Although I’m in New York, I didn't attend his concert. I didn't know him yet.😢 But I have seen that concert several times and I highly recommend it for the next one on the list. I only have one observation to you: please🙏🏻 next time keep your cellphone far away from you!🫣😘

Katy Pena

Awww that happened to me too! I discovered him after that concert 😩 I still have a hope He will be back in NY.

Cleila Nunez

You are so lucky Teresa! I really hope He can come back to NY or any state in USA with a concert 💗

Cleila Nunez

Not able to meet him but when he came down, held his hand at his Dusseldorf (Germany) concert as I was in the first row 😊 Really hope you can go to a concert, it's quite an experience. I've always been a metal fan myself and went to many concerts but I can tell you nothing like this. Dimash turned my music world around 🤦🤣

Teresa Neves

🥹 Teresa thank you so much! And that is amazing you were there!!! 6 concerts is amazing have you been able to meet him??

John Reaves

Dear John. Thank you for your reactions to Dimash. You're now the only reactor I like to see and the only one I felt I would like to support. This concert was awesome, I was there right in the front 😀 His concerts in Kazakhstan always have big productions. The only bad thing is that we don't understand a word he says 🤣🤦 because we don't have subtitles!! It's still amazing and Kazakhstan is a wonderful country. Having been to 6 concerts so far I do prefer the concerts in smaller venues because it feels more intimate. New York concert can be next. Also looking forward for more songs reactions. I think you'll love Samaltau, war and peace was written by Dimash and also the armenian folk song he performed at his yerevan concert, he learn the song in a few hours and his performance was absolutely amazing, I was there and it was a moment I will never forget, definitely one of the best moments in a concert for me, unfortunately there's only fan cams but it's still worth it to be watched. Thanks again DEAR ❤️🙏

Teresa Neves

John! Muchas gracias por este súper concierto!! Al igual que tu! Siempre he sido atraída con gente positiva, de buen corazón y desde un principio Dimas and yourself gave me that feeling! Dinah’s has it all! A good human being, humble, sown to hearth, normal dude with amazing vocals, excelente musician, composer, and so on! And yes! He has said many times two of his favorites singers are Michael Jackson and Freddy Mercury, I thinks this is the reason why he has that inner pop and rock on him! ❤️ esperemos pronto un concierto in the US!

Cleila Nunez

Lucky you!!

The Story Of One Sky made a huge impression! I remember turning to my brother as soon as the song ended, jaw dropped just looking at him to check his reaction (he's not a Dear but came to Almaty with me). When I finally was able to speak I said something like "did you see rock star Dimash?". Truth is TSOOS was so unexpected and had such an impact that I wasn't able to take in El Amor En Ti and understand it's beauty until I saw it on YouTube afterwards. All I remember from El Amor En Ti is very deep massive voice and Dimash on huge screens. About other concerts I remember you saying (was it during one of the Dimash Guide episodes?) that you wanted to see the Emei Mountain Music Festival concert. It's pretty short and funny and shows Dimash doing his best for the fans in what has to be his most wet concert ever. Link to full concert: https://youtu.be/us_1tFBK29Y?si=BjeN7lthjiGilShk

The New York concert is split in 2 parts

Becky Nicholas

P.S. I would love to see you do his New York concert!! It's awesome!!

Becky Nicholas

So loved this concert and watching your reaction was the best!! Thank you for loving, respecting and sharing Dimash along with us ❤️❤️❤️❤️.

Becky Nicholas

Thank you John for your reaction to this epic 3part of the Almaty concert. As you can see Dimash is living his best life through music and it exudes from his very soul. Luckily for us this includes his message of hope and peace for the world. As you and others have said we are drawn to his light. How could we not be. I vote for the Arnau Concert in New York at the Barclay Center. I have since met many DEARs that were there that evening and they talk of it so fondly. It was one of his biggest dreams to have a concert in the USA and he was as always just brimming with gratitude to the DEARs for coming out to see him… I didn’t learn of Dimash until 9 months after that concert and I was so sad that I missed him. At least I can watch it online and I have done so many times now. Dimash’s joy is always my joy too.

Dena Currie

I second the Arnau Envoy New York concert at he Barclay Center.

I think the different stylings in Story of one sky are different cultural Dirges. I have heard 2 of them at different funerals. So I think they all might be from different cultures. So a lament for those unjustly killed because of the greed of those that start wars. Just my interpretation so unsure if it is accurate. As alway I love your reactions to Dimash and of course music in general.

Maykacha

Thank you for this amazing reaction to Dimash stratospheric concert, I love how you talk about him, with respect, admiration and love. He is unique because he performs each song as it is THE performance, giving everything, vocally and emotionally, he shares his heart and his soul with us. He is also unique because his voice is like his soul: pure, deep and powerful. He is so more than the most impressive singer of the world, he wants to share his values with the world through his music. How many artists deliver such speeches during concerts? Create song for conveying strong messages for unity and peace? Kneel down in front of the crowd to thank people for coming? The world needs Dimash because he is an extraordinary beautiful person, transcending all cultures, religions and borders. To me, he is a hope for humanity. And I know that I will fly again 6500 kms to Kazakhstan when he will perform in his country, because his concerts in homeland are special (and I loved everything there: people are warm and welcoming, food is delicious, and landscapes are breathtaking!). I hope you will continue to react to his songs because you still have a lot of masterpieces to discover!

Anouk MDW

I enjoyed rewatching this last part of Dimash Almaty concert with you. ❤️❤️❤️ You are amazing tooJohn. I never get tired of listening/watching Dimash’ performances since I discovered him last Aug 2021. Not a single day is missed since then. His voice is soothing and brings inner peace ❤️❤️❤️

Dimash doesn't just love music, he is music. In all the concerts he does, he always gives 150% and for him, it's never enough. If we dissected him, we would discover that the music is everywhere in his organs, his blood and in all the cells of his body. Igor Krutoy once said in an interview that Dimash always hums and sings something, even in his free time. For him, music is as vital as oxygen, he cannot live without it. In addition to being an exceptional singer and musician, he is an extraordinary creator. What he did with El Amor En Ti is absolutely brilliant. Who else would have thought to do such a thing. By the way, you are the only reactor I see that truly understands and respects the art of Dimash and for this reason I have subscribed to your Patreon to support you as you do for Dimash. Thank you for continuing to promote this unique artist. All my greetings, a Dear from Canada.

Lizou007

Love Dimash so much! He’s so genuine! Amazing concert

That feeling you had that brought you to tears in the song TSOOS, I had that when I discovered Di for three years ago, and cried for two weeks, like a baby! I did not know what was happening whit me! Then I have heard that the same thing happened with many more "Dears. There is something in his voice...Thanks for the nice reaction.. it have been fun following you through the journey.

Marieli

I love how much you love this concert! I wasn't able to go unfortunately but I have watched it many times. The 2 I went to were not recorded unfortunately but there are many fancams from Dusseldorf and Prague. That man makes us travel and discover the world for sure. Another great concert to watch together is the New York concert from 2019. Looking forward to watch the next one with you.

Séby

I love that you get it! Other reactors think he's some staid opera singer and never look beneath the surface. He is music personified. This is why he doesn't sit in a genre and just rake in the money. Music is everything to him and we respect him for who he is. Who but Dimash could run through a crowd of almost 35,000 people barefoot and emerge completely unscathed at the other end! My vote would be for the New York concert next. Unfortunately not all concerts are recorded professionally but that one was. Antalya was awesome and so much fun but unfortunately there's only fancams for that one.

Debs Morgan

We all have been looking forward to watching this last part of the concert with you. Watching Dimash in concert truly gives us such a wonderful view of who he really is. The Story Of One Sky had so many different vocal colors, I believe that they are representing the vocal styles of the various religions in the world, as we saw in the MV, all of the religions were represented by people walking together toward the light, side by side, In Unity. Thank you for sharing your enjoyment of this incredible concert with us ❤️.

Janet Lawson

His performance of “The Story of One Sky” here is really other-worldly. I’m not surprised it brought you to tears. He never sings “Screaming” the same way. Sometimes he raps, and sometimes he doesn’t. I would recommend you watch the official MV to hear the original album version of the song (no rapping). He sings all the verses and the visuals are stunning. I really enjoyed watching you enjoy this concert! And yes, he’s a huge MJ fan.

Dear John, I think it is important to remember that Kazakhstan was a part of the old Soviet Union. Its independence and freedom as a state is just over 30 years old. I gave up all my possessions in Germany a year ago and have been traveling around the world ever since. Right now I am in Georgia, also a former part of the old Soviet state. Still in April 1989 the Russians invaded here because of the demonstrations. Here in Kutaisi there is a sculpture commemorating the victims of that time. In the fall, a new chapter in history was finally opened..... Here in Georgia I experience very strongly how people are still marked by their past. It won't be any different in Kazakhstan. Next spring I would like to travel to Dimash motherland and stay there for three months. I am curious. Dear John, thank you also for your big heart, your openness for the (musical) diversity of this world and your joy in it. It is a joy for me to watch and listen to you. And when I'm not feeling so well, I look at your reaction to the "Power Ranger " version of Dimash and already a smile is put on my face. You are truly refreshing. Unfortunately there are not so many of them on this and other channels. Have a great time!!!! Rita (And yes, Dimash is a great Michael Jackson Fan)

Rita

I have so much to do today but I can't resist...putting life on pause to watch the final part. Thanks, John! 💜

Hi John, if you have the opportunity, please do watch Dimash perform live. I watched him last June 24 at the Axiata Arena in Kula Lumpur. shere are those who say that Dimash's voice is too good to be true. But, it's way better in person. It's richer, fuller and more powerful.
