Dimash - Almaty Concert | part 2

Comments

Although I saw him twice in NYC, it has been so long. We need a USA concert SOON, I mean our soon.😂

Verna

Dimash is so proud of being a Kazakh. He wants people to discover and visit his sweet homeland.

Verna

Yes, S.O.S is considered his calling card to the world

So great that you reacted to this one! I cannot WAIT until you see the third one....that is the one that is EXPLOSIVE...even more so that the 2, if you can believe it! And yes, I AM SINGER is where he exploded overnight...even to his surprise. He was wondering why he was given bodyguards the day after he sang SOS, which is the song that propelled him and to his surprise, they told him what happened!

Mansur is 16 (he was 15 when he wrote Together) , and he is studying at the conservatory of music, just changed his focus from (i forgot now from what, maybe piano?) to electric guitar.

Yeah it looks so weird though doesn't it XD But all of us know it's water, Tassay water to be precise (his sponsor)

Thanks again John! Enjoying this concert with you.. his brother who composed and wrote together for him and Dimash just turned either 16 or 17 and is going to music school.. he did say that when he felt more comfortable in front of a big audience he would also sing for us! Can't wait for part 3.. til then love from an Oklahoma Dear ❤️❤️

Misty

Very much enjoyed your reaction to part 2. I am 68 and feel love for Dimash as a son or grandson. Part 3 Under One Sky Broke my heart , but made me so proud. Dimash’s passion and love for the world and humanity not to mention family and friends is immeasurable and so precious. Thank you again John for taking an interest in him as more than an artist or vocalist. The whole world could learn from him.

Mary

I hope to see all of the Dears soon ❤️

It was so much fun watching you see the Kazakh folk songs for yourself. One of Dimash’s biggest goals is to bring Kazakh culture to the world. He does it in his own fusion blends with rock, metal and whatever else he feels suits the song. As always he is innovating. One of my friends that is a DEAR is learning the Dombra. I want to get one too and learn how to play it for Dimash. Fans send him videos for special events like his birthday and I think that would be a amazing.

Same here .. we need a USA concert!

Dena Currie

I’ll see you in NY Dear!

Dena Currie

You lucky Dear!

Dena Currie

I looooove Durdaraz as well!

Dena Currie

He was just drinking water, not wine :) It just looks like what us American's think of as a wine bottle. I'm SOOOOO excited for you to see part 3!!! I really love watching your reactions and it's really great watching you discover all the different types of music he sings. He's not just a classical singer, but you now have heard some of the "heavy" songs too! Can't wait for the final part of the concert to enjoy with you -- thanks, John!!

Omg! I’m enjoying this so much! Thank you John! Dimash concerts are magical! Can’t wait for part 3…. And I hope soon He will have a concert in the US💗

Lucky you! 🥰

Dimash’s concerts are not only incredibly entertaining but also a plethora of cultural diversity, exposure to history, culture, instruments, songs and dance, with traditional costumes, that without Dimash we never would have known about. The level of audience involvement makes it feel intimate, even though there was 35,000 people at this concert and it truly seems like a massive family reunion celebration, which I don’t think you see with any other artist. In the NY Concert, Dimash was actually brought to tears, he didn’t expect the audience there to jump in on Daididau, and he was so touched to know that his dream of bringing his countries music to the world was definitely coming true, such an emotional experience, I plan on being at the next NY concert, I do believe that the love and energy will be surreal and unforgettable ❤️. I love how much you are witnessing and enjoying the diversity of Dimash, thank you John!

Awesome concert! Can’t wait for part three. Dimash’s concerts are such an experience, I was at NY concert and to hear that voice live was out of this world!

Great to see you enjoying the concert so much and as you can see Dimash really loves his homeland and is very attached to his culture and traditions. The instrument you keep referring to is called a dombra. You can order them from Kazakhstan too and they are not that expensive. Oh and by the way, he was drinking water in that big blue bottle ;) Dimash is Muslim and does not drink alcohol (I believe for the benefit of his voice too)

Durdaraz is absolutely a favourite! I'm from Norway so I'm very used to folk rock and hearing folk music used in metal, so I totally understand why you compared what you heard to metal. This second part of the concert is very much the patriotic part, Dimash sharing his kazakh culture and love for his country with the audience - interesting for us visiting and I'm sure it made his compatriots proud. Like BTS been awarded for their efforts at spreading South Korean culture and language throughout the world Dimash has contributed to spreading Kazakh culture and language worldwide and also boost the tourism to Kazakhstan. I was so happy to see Mansur enter the stage, he got a bright future in music ahead of him. He also posts short videos playing music on Instagram and YouTube.

“I Am Singer” show in China was a competition for established artists. Dimash was already known in his own country and in some others due in part to winning “The Slavic Bazaar” competition in 2015. He was invited to China in 2017. The producers of the Chinese show didn’t think he’d last long, but after his first performance he became an overnight superstar in China. Those appearances and fame launched him into worldwide stardom. He came in second in “I Am Singer” but only because a Chinese artist needed to be winner for political reasons.

Wow loved your reaction so much , can’t wait for part 3!!

To answer a couple of your questions. His brother Mansur was 15 when he did the Almaty concert, he turned 16 on the day they filmed the official music video for Together. Dombra's can be ordered from Kazakhstan. The UK fanclub had one made with Dimash's name inlaid into the surface and gave it to him at the Dussledorf concert. They cost about £250 I believe. I love the middle part of the concerts, it's where Dimash usually brings in the more traditional Kazakh music and as a rock and metal fan Durdaraz has always been my personal favourite.

Debs Morgan

That was so much fun. Can't wait for part 3!

Time flies so fast watching Dimash concert with your reactions. I’m enjoying it so much. Thank you for this❤️❤️❤️ Even though i have watched this a countless times already 😛 That’s how much I love listening to Dimash’s voice.

Enrique Vargas

Yes, Mansur is 16 I believe Dimash is the eldest, second his Sister Raushan and then the youngest Mansur. Dimash is passionate about Kazakhstan and loves his Dears to sing in his native language. Though they often sing I. Russian , English and Mandarin as well in his concerts. It is wonderful to see you enjoying the concert so much.

Maykacha

Can't wait to watch it 🤩
