LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD!!!!

Ok, so two part question!

1 - Would you like early access to all Youtube content on here? Right now I have just BTS weekly videos but would you also like all the videos I can release here sooner?

2 - What should our next musical reaction be to!?

Comments

They've never released a proshot, there is a pretty good cam version on YouTube but nothing official

Vicky Cosgrove

If you’re open to exploring new music, this is a band that has great talent as musicians, songwriters, and singers. OneWe. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=RDhzzbFTzVSbA&playnext=1

Nature Girl

Come From Away is on AppleTv+

Sarah Metzger

Unfortunately not yet. I just searched again and couldn't find anything. ☹️

Sarah Metzger

Do you know if they ever did a recording of The Book of Mormon?

John Reaves

I keep thinking of more: The Book of Mormon (probably not available though) or Fiddler on the Roof. The 1971 movie is great.

Sarah Metzger

I so wish we had a proshot of Avenue Q!

Vicky Cosgrove

Les Miserables, Chicago, or Wicked!

Olivia Allison

😂😂😂

I’m still hoping hadestown is going to be watched somehow. Sadly it has no proshot or movie, it’ll have to be watched through a bootleg but it’s worth it. Amazing story and amazing songs.

Jenny V

If you do Les Miserables then I think you would benefit the most from doing two versions consecutively. If you only do the 10th anniversary concert, it's not like the phantom of the Opera or Miss Saigon. It's not staged, so you will be completely confused. You should do the movie first (Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman are kind of the weak links, singing wise) and then the concert once you can fully appreciate the context and what's going on. Really, the movie has several notable Broadway and West End actors in it and apart from Russell Crowe, it's a good movie

Cool. I'm changing what I propose. Stay in the late 80s and switch to a show which started in London at the same time as Phantom, crossed the pond to Broadway at the same time as Phantom, and was written by the same Lyricist as Phantom, Tim Rice, but didn't enjoy Phantom's stellar mega-hit success, but nonetheless has kind of become the broadway equivalent of a Cult Film. This is the Cold War rock opera that has been rewritten into several versions and finally all versions united into a single unified story 20 years after it left Broadway, the show that keeps on surviving despite all metrics against it -- CHESS. NOT a mega-musical, if you watch and enjoy Chess you will know about one show which is NOT part of the expected repertoire, but you will get props for having explored it because there's some lovely music and singing in the show that you just can't ignore. Late 80's Propaganda Romantic Drama/Rock Opera. Chess is just the setting and the excuse, it's all about the USA vs. the Soviet Union and the lives of individuals caught between them both while in spotlights of their own. A uniquely 80s musical ABOUT the culture of the 80s. It survived better than predicted. TEASER VIDEO: "Checkers Part 6 of 16" for the musical number "Nobody's on Nobody's Side", ensemble number backing up the heroine, Florence. Check it out. All up on YouTube, decent enough sound and video quality.

I agree. I didn’t know there would be others that preferred Guys and dolls as well. Probably one of my favourite musicals. Though I love the older musicals Holiday Inn , Porgy and Bess, Seven Brides for seven brothers, My fair Lady ooo so many. I love them all. 😊

Maykacha

Heck yes! Early drops coming here!!

John Reaves

Adam this is an amazing idea!!! Lol I love it!!

John Reaves

Hey John! Instead of just asking us for names and looking for repeat requests, how about asking us to provide a single performance name, and one video to a single song or number which we feel will 'entice' you to want to see the rest. Then you can react to the idea suggestions on YouTube, advertise this sideline to BTS on Patreon and get your musical lovers over here for you. If you end up with a musical getting multiple video suggestions, hold off, or look for trends, or put THOSE up on Polls. ("When sampling this musical, y'all suggested I watch one of the following videos for my teaser to help me decide and make a reaction to the different styles of Broadway. Which ONE video should I watch to get a feel for the flavor of this show overall? Fans, hit the Poll on Patreon!" -- etc) Then, if you find like three that intrigue you after the teasers, you can put up a poll for the finalists if you need to, but something tells me following that approach, you'll be able to make up your own mind and know going in that you're gonna enjoy at least part of it. Rules for the Teaser videos - We don't give you any Spoiler/Reveal scenes to watch, and we aim it to entice you and other viewers to stop and check out more. Avoid solos and arias, looking more for ensemble numbers usually speaking. So for Phantom, no mask reveal scenes, no chandelier falling, no mirror opening to reveal the phantom within. Ideas?

Adam Pacio

Guys and Dolls over Singing in the Rain. Def my vote. "Luck be a Lady Tonight" and "Sit Down You're Rockin' the Boat" are worth the price of admission alone.

Adam Pacio

Dimash. Definitely MUCH more of Dimash.

Lydia Parris

Yes!!!! Miss Saigon is so amazing!!!! And we must be kindred spirits... I love, love, love Next to Normal. That show has such an important meaning. Yes, I think there is a slime in YouTube of Les Mis with Ramin Karimloo, the phantom!!!!!!!

Joyelizabeth

RENT (live on stage), Jesus Christ Superstar, or Les Miserable 10th Anniversary Concert!

Sarah Allen

I just watched the Miss Saigon 25th Anniversary last night. It's so good! I had no idea Six was on YouTube. Newsies would also be good. I'd love to see Broadway Rent or Les Mis. Wicked, Next to Normal, Moulin Rouge, Hadestown....gosh there are so many!

Sarah Metzger

I am going to keep advocating for the Miss Saigon 25th Anniversary ProShot. If you loved Phantom's story, you'll love this one. Or Six, which is on YouTube, or Newsies on Disney plus

Joyelizabeth

ONE OK ROCK please 😍 full concert performances.

Shicelle

Me too, I got to see it on broadway it was wonderful. Though the actor that played Brando’s role could sing. I kind of missed the not great but character appropriate singing of Brando 🤣

Maykacha

I think I’ll always be partial to Guys and Dolls but Singing in the Rain definitely is a close second.

Katie

The Mikado is a Japanese musical that was always fun to watch or be part of. I’m not sure many know it though.

Katie

I still wanna see the Broadway version of RENT. Also anything by Starkid

Vicky Cosgrove

I'd enjoy seeing early release videos. For a musical, I would love to watch Hairspray (John Travolta version) with you. It's so much fun and the music is great! 😃

Purplehaze

Guys and Dolls has Marlon Brando singing…to this day it makes me smile. Also has Stubby Kaye one of the legends of Broadway both are great but yes Singing in the rain is iconic even BTS references it in Boys with Love

Maykacha

Heck YES! I hear Singing in the raid inspired a ton of musicians and songs :)

John Reaves

Which Wicked? I would for sure love to watch it!

John Reaves

Would be fun having everything. I like old musicals like Guys and Dolls or singing in the rain. 😊 But I enjoyed watching with you.

Maykacha

Wicked would be insane!

Jamie M

Changing my vote overall to Chess. See below for the post. LOL. ----------------------------------- You know how with Tick Tick and Rent you heard a lot about Stephen Sondheim? You should do one of his next. Into the Woods. NOT the movie. The Broadway Show version they released for free on YouTube. This s one matters very much for the order of watching. Movie is okay but ONLY after the play.

Adam Pacio

I really really wanna see you do either JC Superstar or maybe Wicked
