I think this one is going to take multiple listens for it to truly sink in. It’s so dense and lovely. Really reminds me of some of the feel in Indigo. Live it.

HOBI the undetground street dancer, who grew up dancing to JCole's music - the symbolism of HOBI in the subway, doing what he loves "dancing" to his "muse, idol, his musical inspiration" then walking & dancing through the city, deep in thought, with a slight smile on his face blessed to meet his 6ft 8 idol on top of the building, both at the top of their respective game in the musicl and rap worlds. Knowing this collab came from his surprise meeting with JCole during HOBIpallooza @ a time, when HOBI was truly pushing, challenging, struggling himself under the weight of that pressure he was feeling being the 1st of our boys to dig deep inside, find that faith & release his extraordinary talent. This iconic collab'n was HOBI's reward East Coast (NYC- home of hiphop) meets Far East, HOBI & his icon JCole world's finally colliding to make this outstanding track. It's just like HOBI to be humble and give JCole the time, space, and bars he wanted on this track. Then JCole laying his bars down like noone could and cementing in HOBI's heart, mind and soul exactly why music, dancing, and especially JCole's music was his refuge, comfort and healing through his (and BTS's) struggles and successes. It's ironic how this song parallels both artists lives re: music at this point, as JCole (re)considers his retirement and HOBI is leaving us to follow Jin. As sad as it is, they are right - "the sooner they go, the sooner they come back." 18 months will fly and their 2025 reunion is 👁 going to be LIT!!! SO, I'm looking 👀GOOD LUCK & THANK YOU HOBI & JCOLE!! ❤️💜💜💜💜💜💜💜❤️

2023-03-06 07:54:25 +0000 UTCI loved it! The song is beautiful and they both crushed it! So many emotions...I am so happy that JHope got to work with JCole since he is such an inspiration for him. I am so impressed with JCole's lyricism. His words are so deep and from the heart. I am so grateful that JHope is always there with a message of love and courage to soothe everyone who listens to his music. And of course there is also sadness knowing he is leaving soon and worry about him being in the military. But JHope has always shown us how strong he is and I'll be listening to this gift they gave us while counting the days until his return. 💜

I saw the child at the beginning and my brain went immediately to the sound of a bicycle bell and I just started crying! They were bittersweet tears. It makes me so incredibly happy that he got to work with an artist he held such admiration for. That makes it even more special. The world doesn’t deserve sweet Hobi. 🥹💜
