2025-01-09 04:01:02 +0000 UTCSomeone go give Ted a hug for this interview. It made him more human than what was shown on the show and he isn’t really a full on evil antagonist. He’s an antagonist, sure, but he’s like Jade, doing whatever they can with strategy in order to win a better game. Honestly, pre episode 2, I had him ranking 2nd on my elimination chart for placements. Also, for now, I’ll take his word that Lynda was ignorant on the whole “Richard thing” for what she said to him, but, much like Benji, I’m willing to give her another chance to redeem herself. Benji I won’t give another chance to because he kind of already sunk his own ship. Ted’s message at the end is very important for anyone looking out there for a career. If it’s something you’re good in, then do it, I know personally I take that message quite meaningful for what it is I want to do in my life as a career I’ll find passion and enjoyment in. Great interview this was and my theory is that Emily might be growing more of a heart by the end of the season as the interviews keep on going. I doubt she’ll leave production of the season (and because she’s by law to serve community service there), so when more people get eliminated, we’ll see how her being an intern changed her for the better…maybe.

It's hard to fully develop characters in a competition show format due to eliminations, but fans resonate with characters regardless and the exit interview does a great job at providing character lore while still feeling relevant to the show. Emily has a ton of charisma as an interviewer, she's perfect for the job. Snarky enough to be entertaining, understanding enough to give the audience a thorough glimpse into the interviewee (please don't do cartoon villain Emily ever again). Ted also has tons of charisma and I think his VA plays a huge part in that. Usually when people make guesses at comeback contestants upon their elimination, I feel like they're forced, but Ted actually seems like a good candidate. Happy to be back as a Patreon subscriber! Please keep up the excellent work with this season.
