I also loved seeing all the different designs of Kristal this episode. Only thing that was weird for me was they ended up putting a face to her father. I always sort of put Chris as her dad and ik they can't use him cuz copyright, but I still sort of thought of him as her dad. 😭 But this was a nice video to see Kristal finally meeting her dad again.

Yet, supplemental material and a Kristal greeting I purchased revealed that Kristal was practically raised by her mother. With Christoff’s constant absences, SOMEONE had to have taken care of Kristal.

2024-09-18 02:52:09 +0000 UTCMagnificent episode. Out of all of the advertised episodes for this series, this is the one I was most looking forward to. I enjoy watching estranged family relationships and the possibility of seeing them get repaired. My favorite part was Nina and Howard’s exchange. To think, Nina doesn’t like to be referred to as a puppet and she had to be restrained by Marcus. Notice that Howard mentioned Marcus’ daughter during Kristal’s flashback. I wonder if he was referring to an actual human daughter of Marcus’ that may serve as a childhood friend of Kristal’s. Bravo to Michael Kim for not only writing the episode but for also voicing Oliver, Christoff AND Howard. Quite impressive range. I totally thought Howard shared Marcus’ actor. I totally knew Christoff wouldn’t remember Oliver and that he was manipulating Kristal into co-hosting with him. I don’t doubt his love for his daughter, but clearly he’s too fixated on his career. I’m wondering if his show “Race to the Place” is a reference to “The Amazing Race”. The ending was awesome and touching. Perfect way to conclude Kristal’s arc, assuming this is the last we’ll see of her. I certainly wouldn’t mind if Kristal solely hosted “Race to the Place” in a Disventure Camp sequel. 10/10.

2024-09-18 01:06:46 +0000 UTCThoughts: A beautiful staff story. This story showed that family is not solely blood but those who care the most about you and your well-being. Maybe Christoph had changed for the better maybe he hadn't, but like Kristal said, the gesture was too little too late and hopefully he can see this as a learning experience himself someday. I have faith in every character Odd Nation Cartoons brings to life, no matter how despicable they act and the same goes for staff stories. How Nina has not been exorcised yet, I'll never know, at least not until the next episode but its fun. Marcus is a real sweetheart despite his mystique and he's been more like the father figure Kristal has always wanted and this really demonstrates that. Oh man, Oliver and Kristal still didn't get together. He's been by her side through thick and thin and he's so adorable and precious. I don't know if the two of them will ever become a couple, but it will be a prospect I wouldn't object to in the slightest. It will be beautiful if it happens and my manifesting will continue. The bodyguard's farewell to Kristal at the end touched my heart too. I'd love to see him again someday because he could become part of the chosen family one day if he retires and joins them on their journey. You always know how to bring the feels ONC and I will support you guys for as long as you can when making some connective feel good entertainment. Keep up the good work guys, can't wait till next week.

Her father came back randomly, after years of being absent and dismissive. Which made Kristal outraged, with the little to no attention she got. I understand how she feels, no matter how you act… you cannot fix the damage that is already done. I have a weird feeling the same is gonna happen with Alec and Daniel (even though Alec’s literally an abusive and neglecting alcoholic) I personally think it would be pretty cool if Jared made a spin off with Alec, Daniel and Cheryl or Alec and Fiore.

2024-09-17 23:41:19 +0000 UTCAlright, thoughts on the episode, but spoiler warning ahead! -First, I loved how Nina would constantly make comments about the hats, like girl what did the hats ever do to you? -Seeing Kristal's video auditions were honestly so sad to see, her trying so hard for her father's attention that she almost destroyed herself. -Christoff is a piece of work, he really thinks that now that he needs a co-host, he can suddenly just appear after so many years of pain? I almost raged when Kristal tried leaving with him, because he is actual crud. -One thing that confuses me through and I'm sure this can be easily answered, how did Marcus know Howard, Christoff's bodyguard? I can understand Oliver knowing haven previously worked for Christoff, but how did Marcus know? -Oliver was honestly the goat this episode, trying to persuade Kristal on the phone till the bitter end and even trying to persuade Howard. Also, I have to agree with Nina with how his hat idea was kind of dorky, Lol. -And finally, Seeing Kristal lash out at the bowling alley was heartbreaking, seeing how just seeing her dad triggers her badly, my heart goes out to her for this, and I do hope she can eventually recover. In short, I find it a really nice way to end Kristal's story and I am curious who the new production team of S4 will be alongside Derek and Trevor. I can't wait!
