Yeah, what's the point of having 18 contestants if Jake and Riya had 80% of the entire screen time

2024-09-30 22:17:35 +0000 UTCI liked the season, bit during the last few episodes it kinda downfell.

2024-09-15 15:11:14 +0000 UTCI hope for the next season to not have as much animation errors and better/fixed backgrounds. Also some things don't make sense when the characters have to interact with the envirement. In the motel epiosde the motel when they had to get to the roof they didn't use the stairs. I really hope the quality get's better. I know the challanges aren't your main fokus but I would love to have at least one stretched out over two episodes leaving more time for the characters to bond and everyone gets more focus. Also maybe include the losers motel a bit more. Some shananigans/opinions of the eliminated contestens would be cool. I like that there is always a sub plot with the staff or a we have to save the show kind of thing.

2024-09-14 19:57:38 +0000 UTCNgl after seeing the elimination ideas on Twitter, I'd say that this season was a 1/5. There were so many ways that this season could have gone, and to go the way it went was very disappointing. Also, Ashley not making it into the finale was majorly disappointing (also Alec could have been the main villain). Whatever happened in making the last 2 elimination ideas should never happen again. To throw away such potential for a serious an important season is extremely disappointing. Please don't make the same mistake when making season 4.

2024-09-11 13:49:41 +0000 UTC2/5 at first I wasn’t sure of the narratives that were being constructed. But after the comeback challenge I felt relieved of how things were handled. I enjoyed the rest of the season since the characters really showcased a dynamic and natural behaviour for their own personalities. However, the final 10 minutes felt short for me. A moralistic approach “Money doesn’t buy happiness” was not enough since the rest of the season gave so much more than that. The season 4/5. The finale 2/5. I wished Riya’s winning outcome could have been used to close her story, Connor’s, Yul’s, Jake’s and Ashley’s since all those storylines didn’t felt close at the end of this episode. My final comment is: well, thank you so much for everything, but I don’t think Riya’s and Ashley’a arcs are complete yet and I think a lot of people would like to see more from what I gathered from websites.

2024-09-10 12:05:36 +0000 UTCi thought that the quality of the season was amazing, but i feel like it was poorly written.

2024-09-10 11:18:48 +0000 UTC3/5. I did not enjoy the elimination order as much. My favorite characters got eliminated due to not having something that the viewer isn’t aware of until it is revealed. This happened at least twice this season with Gabby and Ally. I feel as if it happened in another season as well but I can’t remember. This being a recurring event was a bit sad. Most of the characters I used to like I now dislike due to the way they acted throughout the entire season. I was a bit underwhelmed with the characters overall. I’m excited we get a new cast next season.

2024-09-10 00:45:16 +0000 UTCI've felt pretty mixed on the season overall. I do like the merge for the most part and there are good parts throughout the whole season, but I feel like the writing and execution was kind of a mess, especially during the latter part of the season since episode 14. I did enjoy my time with the season overall, but I'm hoping season 4 will be able to improve upon the issues with All-Stars

2024-09-09 19:57:42 +0000 UTCNo this season's the worst Disventure Camp season 2/5. The final boot order, especially post-merge, is horrendous. The final 2 got way too much screentime and got plot armor for multiple episodes, especially Riya with her dumb breaking Ally's hopscotch and switching the letters plans working (they should not have worked. Everyone was being written as an idiot in both scenes. That was Sunday Muddy Sundae levels of bad writing). I'll say pre-merge I was enjoying it, like the villains alliance and the decision to eliminate some big contestants immediately were great. Also there were a few characters who I am going to miss, mainly Fiore and Grett who both feel really good this season. But yea no, I can't deny the headache of episodes 14-21 which genuinely made me want to quit watching cause of how annoying they were to sit through. If you wanted to make a better season, cut over half of Jake's argument scenes and eliminate Riya early. That genuinely solves most of the character derailment this season and doesn't show favoritism.

2024-09-09 15:49:27 +0000 UTCJake and ally sucked this season. This could been better tbh.
Alfonso and David
2024-09-09 14:01:50 +0000 UTC4/5 I felt some of the premerge felt a bit more awkward with some characters never really getting their footing such as Hunter and Ellie whereas some characters only start becoming active when merge hit (Ally, Gabby, Riya). In general, I feel like the whole season could benefit from a bit more light hearted tone and direction so when the dramatic stuff hit (like Jake/Alec lake talk, Grett doing a pullup) hit even harder. Imagine little background gags where we see Riya pose in front of cameras off in the distance to look evil throughout the season, then the emotional climax in episode 17 would hit harder. Sometimes it's more effective to communicate a character through actions or jokes than a serious conversation every episode. The things that were great was ofcourse the animation and elimination order. Reasoning felt great and even though we had some stinger eliminations, mostly they all felt great.
AlejandroFangrill14
2024-09-09 13:19:27 +0000 UTC4/5. First half up to episode 13 was amazing. It started falling at episode 14 though, I would have preferred a horror challenge compared to the TikTok challenge we got. Elimination order is decently solid despite people’s anger on some eliminations, maybe more context queues next time in Gabby and Ally’s elimination. The ending made the season better though as it shows poetic karma to Riya, shows our favourite characters happy in life together and gives a good send off for them… For now but leaves doors open for the season 1 and 2 cast to come back for another season

2024-09-09 06:59:59 +0000 UTC3/5. The first half was Absolutely fantastic. The show was firing on all cylinders with very few grips IMO Episodes 14-17 were a bit shakier, between the challenges, characters and overall writing, but still pretty good overall. Episode 19 was also nice, but episodes 18, 20 & the finale all REALLY dragged it down for me (especially with the ending). Its very close between a 2/5 or a 3/5 for me, but I ultimately chose 3/5 because I appreciate the effort that very clearly went into the development of this show on a technical level (The way it looks, the voice acting, etc.). Plus, While I Strongly dislike the last chunk of the show, I can at least respect the attempt at trying something different.

2024-09-09 04:03:00 +0000 UTCI think this season introduced a lot of good ideas that were underwhelming in execution. Early in the season I was defending a lot of the writers decisions expecting payoffs that didnt come. I still love the show and thought the finale was great, and I think a lot of people are gonna agree they were too hard on this season on a rewatch, I just think the writing could have been better.
Mikey
2024-09-09 03:59:43 +0000 UTCI'll give it 3,5 out of 5 I was one of the few who was defending some of the choices made during the merger because I expected the ending to be rewarding, but unfortunately it was the opposite All-Stars started with an absurd increase in quality. I can say that the team phase was my favorite. All the episodes of the team phase had remarkable moments with many different interactions between the cast, which is what we expect from an All-Stars season. The challenges were mostly very creative I liked the way most of the characters were written, and I can say that I will miss many of them after the end of this season Unfortunately, in a season that serves as a farewell to the cast, the winner needed to be someone satisfactory. Many can debate this, but I think Jake's victory would have been a much better conclusion for the character and for All-Stars in general than Riya, who ended up paying the price for her actions in the form of karma

2024-09-09 01:45:08 +0000 UTCI think I rate it five stars because it has a balance of evil and good at the same time and the creators of Disventure camp just really bring out the characters personalities and characteristics and that’s what I really like that and also the challenges are emotional and physical at the same time which brings a little bit more entertainment into the challenges.

2024-09-08 20:56:11 +0000 UTCI loved the season overall but some of the eliminations felt very forced toward the end of the season and it seemed to be in favor of having a shocking twist rather than good storytelling. My examples of this definitely are Gabby, Grett and Allie. Other than that, I loved this season. I even enjoyed the Riya win especially when you look at the whole picture of her in season 2 and this one. Not my favorite character to win in one of these shows but I did like the overall story behind it. I'd honestly compare it to heathers win in world tour. Her built up to it over 3 seasons but in the end she became an antihero. I enjoyed that riyas was a stark contrast to that, with her denying any changes and being an irrefutable villain that ultimately won the season. Plus she's not Jake so I'm even happier that she didn't win lol

2024-09-08 20:03:26 +0000 UTCEverything was great, but I don't like some characters having their whole personality be about someone else. Jake can be his own person, Grett too. But we only saw that in a few episodes.

2024-09-08 17:59:31 +0000 UTCEpisodes 1-13 & 18 A perfect 5. 14-17 & 19-21 range either 2 or 3 the bs elmantions of Gabby and Ally plus plot amour of Jake and Ryia, making the final 2 feel genuinely forced but great job DCAS for all the hard work see you in staff stores and S4 and beyond!

2024-09-08 17:48:48 +0000 UTCMy opinion may change as time goes on... but I have decided to give it a 4. Over all, I loved the season. I just have a few criticisms. Positives: -I love character growth so I enjoyed seeing most of the characters develop positively (minus Riya and Yul). I even changed my opinion on some characters. This is what stands out to me the most this season. You had the characters come back and treated it like a second chance. -The challenges were a lot of fun. It was interesting seeing challenges go from something normal to something completely out there. I loved the challenges where there were a lot of interaction, like with the musical, superheroes, truth challenge, and the final challenge. -Relationships were mended and some new ones grew. I loved the character interactions a lot. Tom/Aiden, Aiden/Jake, Connor/Jake, Ally/Connor, Ally/Jake, Ally/Ashley, Ashley/Jake, Tom/Jake, Tom/Gabby, Grett/Gabby, Grett/Ellie, Fiore/Alec, etc. It was heartwarming to see their goodbyes in the end. -I never knew who was going to be eliminated and I enjoyed the surprise. -There was a good mixture of emotional moments and laugh-out-loud moments. -I loved the ending where they show the pictures. I always love to see the characters outside of the game... so, I hope this isn't the last we see of many of these characters. I want to see spin-offs/webseries for many of them. They're really amazing characters, and I don't want to see them disappear forever. Negatives: -My biggest problem with this entire season was the fact that Riya didn't get disqualified or arrested for her actions. Some may say this is just a cartoon, but Emily got arrested for releasing the scorpions. Riya could have broken Connor's neck/paralyzed him, severely hurt Gabby, severely hurt Jake, etc. It seems unfair that Kristal didn't call her out on it. Could she at least have been sued or lost job opportunities? -I love the unpredictability of the eliminations, but a few of the challenges didn't make any sense. Gabby throwing her phone, Riya winning the horse race, and Ally's elimination are three that stand out to me. It felt a bit too forced. Riya being rescued then somehow making it to the end of the race, and winning with someone else's horse. Riya somehow using toys to get 10 gems and conveniently breaking Ally's bag to win. It felt like it was trying to be unpredictable, but things didn't quite add up or seem fair. -Lastly, I would have liked it if Ally/Jake didn't fight as long. Ally really shined in episodes 18, 20, and 21 (in my opinion). I feel like the focus on the fighting missed out on her potential. Not to mention, I loved the scenes with Ally/Jake during the musical episode and the finale. I would have loved to see more of that. Despite the criticisms, this doesn't stop me from loving and supporting the show. We love the characters so much that we want to see the best for many of them. I'm still extremely excited for the new season and the webseries. Constructive criticism (not rants) can only make the show better, right? I want to see this show continually grow because I think it's amazing!

2024-09-08 17:36:24 +0000 UTCim gonna say 3/5. i liked seeing my favorite characters and loved season 1 and 2 interactions and relationships being formed. the challenges were good too. i disliked the last remaining characters aside from ally being there , there was too much jake and riya storyline screen time which i didnt care about. but there were some moments with other characters that i loved

2024-09-08 14:09:50 +0000 UTCRating: 3-3.5 Good: I liked a lot of the challenges. Like the musical challenge, space challenge and superhero challenge. I think the character interactions in the first half of the season (episodes 1-10) were really good. Bad: I think there were lots of plot armor. Like Jake made it to the finale when it could have been someone else that needed the money. Like Gabby. I think this season was really good though.
Riya is queen
2024-09-08 13:41:26 +0000 UTCI give it a 3.5 because of the plot armor, writing and animation near the end of the second half of the season. Riya's plot armor got worse at episode 17. Some of her wins and immunities made no sense, such as she was supposed to cross the finish line with her horse she aquainted with, Bojak, yet she crossed with Connor's horse Spirit, and it wasn't addressed. Additionally, there is no way to collect ten gems with plastic or inflatable tools while also running away from scorpions. It was like what was the whole point of including those rules in if they are going to be disregarded. Also, there are some animation errors to address, such as Ally's backpack. If it busted, why didn't the viewers see gems falling out of it? Why couldn't Krystal ask the final three to open their backpacks to confirm they have collected 10 or more diamonds? The season was good overall with memorable cast of characters, but the writing in the episodes could use work to be polished.

2024-09-08 13:11:52 +0000 UTCIn generall I enjoyed the masterpiece of Disventure Camp All Stars, I enjoyed the betrayal and all but I didn't like who won. I hated the person who won, fuck that player, he/she doesn't deserve to win the way this son of a bitch behaves.

2024-09-08 13:03:03 +0000 UTCOkay I changed my mind, Reading some of the replies here and another platforms, I'm more sure this ending is really bad, so bad that this makes the whole experience very bitter for me, so bad I currently don't know, how can i trust to the future projects' story quality. So I gave a 2/5. I'm really happy, that ONC has the chance to give any kind of stories they would like to tell! That's why I watch these shows, because there are elements, that you don't see on TV. But please, give stories, that have acceptable endings! Or at least this kind of endings shouldn't be the end of a 21 episode BIGGEST PROJECT OF ALL, ALL STARS SEASON kind of series. Spin offs can have that.

2024-09-08 12:26:21 +0000 UTCI can't rate the season objectivly, because I still feel furious about the last episode. Until episode 20, I would give a 4, I love how much the quality grew, I love how you handled most of the characters, I love all the VA's work and I easily can forgive for some short bad moments, BUT the ending was really bad for me. So bad, that I don't now if I could watch back the episodes ever that focus on Riya, or even watch back the whole season, knowing the conclusion will be a Riya win. The last few episodes made clear for me, that she is a horrible person, who can't be redeemed in this season, but I was like "Okay, after her failing, I would love to see her in a spin off how her journey continue." But now I feel I don't want to see her ever again. She made so much horrible, unethical things (people could literally die or injured mentally and physicly thanks to her), that could be a police case, and she never failed, but she win and will be the ALL STAR CHAMPION whatever happens next, thanks to almost kill and injure many people. Would it be this ending acceptable for anybody, if somebody truly died or injured permanently? I don't think so. It was just luck it never happened. Then why give a spot in the winners line permanently to this kind of person just for a "?). And during her winning happens the casts final happy moments, that I would love to see, but I can't enjoy it, because It's again Riya, who the final moments focus on. I get what this ending wants us to tell, but there is a difference playing tactical and be villainus to make fans happy, and be a person, that could go into jail for her actions, but she doesn't. And the consequence to her actions: noone wants anything do with her ever. And now it includes me. I don't want to see Riya ever again. I don't want a redeemption ark, (she doesn't deserve one), I don't want real punishment for her (it's too late), I don't want to see her ever again. And this feeling is more and more goes towards to this season too. So I won't rate it, I just wanted to explain my feelings. And I can't rate the other pool, that ask what am I most excited about, because I'm currently not excited about anything. I now just feel so much sadness, anger and disappointment, that an awesome journey had to ended this bad.

2024-09-08 12:03:49 +0000 UTCFor me max I can give is a 3: I'll try to explain why, but if it doesn't come across well, I apologise. For me since episode 14 onwards something changed. The elimination order likely didn't help, but the shock factor felt more important. The 2 worst ones are likely Gabby & Ally and how those eliminations were handled. To this day I just don't understand the point of just not making Ally lose the race, but have her bag be ripped to give Riya another point randomly. Other then that, some of the characters got hurt to much for me to improve others or just in general. Mainly todo with Jake & Riya then. For me honestly, Connor was done so dirty. He never learns until the end of the show that Riya should be stopped. Tom honestly felt odd after he got eliminated to feel in love with Jake constantly, but that is more me thinking their relationship doesn't work. Jake & Riya's arc just felt flat to me. Jake started out as a jealous prick thanks to Alec with Aiden & Tom and then due to Fiore he hated Ally. Pre merge he was horrid and I felt bad for Ashley to having to deal with it. During merge he had his ow fuck moment after Ashley left. Connor then had to get him back in check. Which happened then Tom left. He made up with Aiden afterwards then tried making up with Ally which backfired. They were angry siblings in episode 16, then Jake almost got himself eliminated for being an idiot. Episode 17 I started to question shit, suddenly he wants to make up with Ally to get Grett out. Connor also somehows agrees to this? Episode 18 suddenly Jake thinks Ally is a bigger threat again? Just no to me. That is dumb. Connor got his foot injured by Riya, yet Ally is worse. This felt so off to me. Episode 20 was fine they agreed to work together again. He did have a nice moment with Ally, sadly at this point I disliked him to much to care. In Episode 21 he was decent enough and I'm happy he got a happy ending even if I dislike him. Now Riya, o boy this girl. I will trust the fact that the writers had a good idea of what Riya is, but in the show it was not handled at all well. I'm sorry but the eye thing was not good. She also made everyone dumb around her with her plays. The constant shit she got away with dude. Her thing with Alec was fine, I hated her for abusing Alec basicly to fuck with Connor. Also her thing with Connor was so stupid. Let the man move on. She really was just a 1 note villain to me here, she did win fairly and I prefered her just being ruthless in the challenges then her strategic side which really didn't work. I could go on, but you get the drift, both finalists fell flat to me sadly. I will still say, I did like this show. The premerge was really good and I did see the potential. Just unlucky I disliked the finale 2. I think the main thing to work on is to make the characters that are more complex, or meant to be show it better. You could've possibly showed Riya doing more then the eye thing. I apologise for ranting a bit, but do hope you see where the critism for the final 2 is coming from and make it better for season 4.

2024-09-08 08:15:16 +0000 UTCI won’t mention any small term issues because stuff like “Ally’s elim makes no sense why didn’t Jake just cross the finish line first” is true but I doubt that improves your writing lol. Another thing that bothered me is giving so much time to the staff plot, please never do a staff plot they just take away time contestants. Give the screentime to your amazingly complex characters instead of them.

2024-09-08 07:05:07 +0000 UTCObjectively it’s a 4/5, but in terms of enjoyment I can’t say anything besides a 5. Masterful shit. I think something you need to improve on is recognizing your audience, a lot of times scenes can come off as a little too subtle for some or you forget to mention details that should be obvious which can make a scene feel rushed/forced. Ep18 is an obvious example, it was implied that Connor tried to tell Ally off screen but because he didn’t do it on screen it kinda makes the conflict of that ep look stupid. Other things I can think of is Jally after ep18 being friendly again right after what happened is a little weird cuz we dont see a scene of them saying “ok we gotta destroy Riya” I know they might seem unneeded but they go a long way in making some of the conflicts feel a little less forced.

2024-09-08 06:53:01 +0000 UTC4/5 Like many are saying, great overall, but some things I would change. I think Grett would have made a better villain competitor for the finale and Ally felt like she could have had a little more development. Riya was way too mustache-twirling evil especially when she started to seemingly show inner conflict on her plot with Eesha. Just my opinion, but still an excellent season!

2024-09-08 06:02:48 +0000 UTCIt was a great season overall and a lot of characters, including Ally, Grett, and Jake, had great character arcs. The only thing I didn’t like was that Riya won, not that I don’t like Riya, I just would’ve preferred Ally or Jake. However, that is just my personal opinion.

2024-09-08 05:29:14 +0000 UTCOverall, great job! I am happy to have contributed what I could to help get this season to the finale. And, I am excited for new projects to come. Some notes: For a longer season, there were subplots that seemed stretched rather than fleshed out. The most level characters seemed to be mainly used for plot device, rather than have their own contributions. There were some moments that just seemed to exist to advert expectation rather than build a solid story. I felt the ending to be a bit deflated. No problem with a villain winner, but this instance did not seem warranted and Rhia’s loss didn’t hit as hard as it could have. I am glad Tom and Jake got each other, even without the win. Between the final two, it was the stronger choice. It will be interesting to see where their story goes from here. It was great to revisit some fan favourite characters. You can tell there is enjoyment in creating this content. Looking forward to contributing to future projects! You guys do some great work!!

THE KARMA IS A BITCH 🫢🤭

2024-09-08 04:32:20 +0000 UTCIt was a pretty great season overall! It felt like a true all stars from the 2 current casts. Most of my complaints were nitpicky at best, however I felt the penultimate episode had some weird writing and Ally's elimation is my least favorite in the show so far due to the buildup of several elements not going anywhere in that episode. Not to mention that once again that finalist who showed any altruism was punished for it. But despite this, it was a fine season.

2024-09-08 04:21:07 +0000 UTCI overall enjoyed the season. There were quite a few sloppy moments post merge however which made some moments fall flat or feel like an ass pull. Thus why I gave it a four. I didn't really hard root for anyone, but enjoyed seeing where the story was going. Towards the end though, it felt too convenient for Riya at times or Jake. Ally losing like that felt so forced and off screen, almost felt as bad as season one total drama of Lindsay's elimination (though definitely not as bad). I agreed with your general ideas, but the execution felt lacking at times. I still look forward to more of what you got though.

2024-09-08 03:54:27 +0000 UTCA 3. It was really good up until the final 8 I felt, because that was when the weirdness started in my opinion. Gabby’s elimination could have been handled better, Ally and Riya’s inconsistencies, and so on and so forth.

2024-09-08 03:49:03 +0000 UTCI voted 3 because many plots felt rushed or dragged out. Jake/Ally bickering was never fun and went on way too long before they went to being buddies all of a sudden (I appreciated their last heart to heart about their grandparents, but having Ally get mad again because of Riya's obvious trick was overkill on this plot line). Cheap eliminations like Gabby's and Ally's. There's eliminations with real, natural shock value like Ashley's. And then there's "wait, the winner is actually the loser!" Unfulfilling for the viewer and takes me out of the moment, feels forced. Jake is one of my favorite characters but I'd have liked his development wrapped up a little earlier to let the other characters shine. Connor/Riya also dragged on. Again, there's a proper way to do "will they, won't they?" a prime example being Tom Jake in their original season, where each new altercation comes up organically and their reactions come from a genuine place (Jake's paranoia, Tom's frustration with not feeling seen). Connor's motivations for believing in Riya are less believable. The highlight of their dynamic was Riya's reaction to getting thrown the perfume in the water which spurred her temporary doubt on whether she wanted to present as a villain, which I thought was actually done more well than not, but Connor ends up looking dumb from the beginning of the season since she never shows him any evidence that she wants to change her behavior at all. Trevor's friendship with Emily was 1000% more satisfying than his potential romance with Derek. And her karma was gratuitous in a weird way. Emily was a fan favorite because she had a playful bitchy attitude and was a schemer who wasn't afraid to go for what she wanted even if it meant hurting others or taking away their power— but she had a heart of gold. She supported Trevor in his time of need and seemed genuinely invested in his journey discovering his sexuality and feelings for his co host. Her quick descent into a murderous, vengeful maniac was terrible and felt like a different character. How does it make sense for her to maim people on live television because Kristal fired her and probably could cause her to be blackballed in the entertainment industry? That solves none of her problems, and she was never presented as an extremely vengeful person. She wants to get ahead and to step on others, but wanting revenge for the sake of revenge is VERY different and a legitimate character trait, but not well done in this instance. Very disappointed with how Emily was handled. I don't see how we're supposed to be hyped that the girl who had Trevor's back went crazy and is maimed and the next hosts are the gay ecoterrorist duo. Love the series, will continue to tune in, but there is overall an overwhelming favoritism toward MLM ships and character arcs that sidelines characters with unexplored potential. I was excited for AS primarily for more Tom Jake, but even I would have liked less of it and more focus on other characters.

2024-09-08 03:47:14 +0000 UTCWhat they said. The ending felt anticlimactic, especially because Riya’s consequences didn’t feel like enough (especially because she still had her sister rather than losing everyone). Also, it felt like shifts in character focus felt disjointed at times.

2024-09-08 03:46:23 +0000 UTCThe season started out alright but I don't really see the complexity that's described by the other writers. I really like this show but I'd love for things not to be stretched out and have things been thought out make sure nothing is rushed. I do kinda feel like some of the characters felt like they had missed potential. I don't really understand the thought process of like riyas "arc" or why the tomjake arc was so stretched out way too much in DCAS.

2024-09-08 03:45:20 +0000 UTC3/5 because even though the show is very good in general I have some issues. A season should always end on a nice note and it should feel victorious to the winning character. Now whether or not Riya was popular, I think having her win then be miserable is a lose-lose situation where the people who don’t like Riya lose because she won, and the people who do like Riya lose because she was miserable in the end. If you want to write a villain winner, I think it works best to portray them as an anti-hero instead of a full on villain. Take for example Fiore and Ellie from season 1, both of them could have made fine winners because they both had likable aspects to their character. Riya went way over the line at multiple points (such as injuring Conner or suddenly kissing Alec) that make her more villainous at the cost of her rootability. On a further note Riya had already made finals before so I don’t know why she was chosen to hit final 3. After seeing fans reactions to Priya in the total drama reboot I think this should’ve been rethought. One compliment I do have to give the team is that no character felt completely pointless. Even if it was small it felt like every character had a role to play in this game that left influence behind after their elimination. On the other hand a lot of the staff did nothing in this season, especially Oliver, Marcus, and Nina, which hurts knowing this is their last season apparently. Anyways at its core disventure camp is still amazing, I love the characters and the staff working on the show is doing an awesome job. I will keep enjoying the show no matter what but I do hope you take some of my criticisms to heart.

2024-09-08 03:37:58 +0000 UTCUnexpected eliminations! Some characters didn’t get the development they deserved, but there were some true standouts that made the season enjoyable.

2024-09-08 03:19:03 +0000 UTCI think my biggest knock against the season would be the pacing; some storylines (Jake/Tom/Aiden, Derek/Trevor/Krystal) went on for just a tad too long or felt a little out of place. As much as I love the show I think 21-26 episodes may be overkill, but I'm curious to see how s4 goes with a longer runtime.

2024-09-08 03:15:35 +0000 UTC3/5 i personally felt that the last few episodes were rushed. the writing and plot development quality hasn’t been as top-tier as of lately. i didn’t hate the season or anything. it holds a special place to me since it was my introduction to disventure camp and i love almost every character, but i feel there could’ve been some story adjustments and some aspects that could’ve been delivered better. super excited for future projects and am hoping the best! :)

2024-09-08 03:09:03 +0000 UTCdefinitely a 4/5 for me. i loved this season and all the planning behind it. however i felt it was a bit rushed towards the end like i thought emily’s plan would have a much bigger impact. also i’m a jake fan but i thought the way that ally got eliminated was not the best it would’ve been great to have riya rip ally’s backpack to explain that. finally, i think the decision to have riya win was realistic. i actually think that her winning gives the viewers a realistic view of what reality shows are about and unfortunately those who we hate can even win and we have to accept it because they played the game to win. i think that it tells a story that also money is not everything and that everyone took something they truly wanted in the end while riya got something she already basically had because of her career. tmb quiero decirles gracias a todo el equipo por el excelente trabajo que hicieron y todo el esfuerzo que le pusieron! amo esta serie!

2024-09-08 03:06:02 +0000 UTCI’m gonna have to say 4, because… RIYA WON!! SHE WON!! 🏆 I still can’t believe it, I’m so proud of her!! Although, the ending is literally so sad and is bringing me to actual tears (which js proves how good the show is tbh), this cannot be the last of her! 😭

2024-09-08 02:59:14 +0000 UTC2, I dont know, I was really trying to stay optimistic about the season until the finale but the finale? Man. I really think the winner choice, really is unsatisfying, I would of loved it if there was an alternate ending with the actual winner winning instead, almost to prove a point, but it’s cannon and it doesn’t feel right.

2024-09-08 02:58:11 +0000 UTCI give all stars 3/5, but more accurately, 7/10. I think what you all strived to accomplish you accomplished really well, however, I believe a clash of interests caused a lot of fans wanting more from many of their favorites. Coming from a Jake fan: Jake got a lot this season. And, by that, I mean a LOT. Even though he didn’t win, he still got the most screen time AND the most spoken lines out of any character. I feel there was a lot of missed opportunities with characters like Tess, Connor, and above all else, Ellie. Ellie somehow went from a main character in season 1 to pretty much a background player. Considering characters like Aiden, Gabby, Riya, Ashley, and Tom all kept to their similar status, Ellie’s sudden drop of story necessity was jarring and unexpected. This kind of thing can be done well, but suffice to say, it wasn’t. Ellie was far from done when she was done, and that left fans begging for scraps. I would also love to talk about Trevor. Trevor oh Trevor… Trevor is a character I adore and sympathize with immensely… however you did not show him nor his situation Justice by making him a whiny, spiteful, annoying boy. Derek didn’t deserve to apologize to Trevor because Derek didn’t do anything wrong. I also think Derek and Kristal’s “fling” was abandoned way to quietly. They kissed and their relationship just went up into smoke afterwards to make room for Trevor’s side of the story. Kristal. Kristal has been bleached of any and all of her interesting qualities from S2, just to say “have I gotten too soft?” In the finale. Kristal went from a unique host, to a cookie cut out. I don’t want to be too negative, however. For as much as I dislike about this season, I have at least 2 things to say that I love! While the animation could have been more involved, the team did a great job making movement smooth and enjoyable! The themed episodes were a blast (Excluding the space episode. That one was a bit of a let down). Not to mention the overall quality of this show despite everything! For a small team, this is absolutely incredible work. I give all stars a 7/10. It was a good season. Excited for DC4!!!

Muhammed Camara
2024-09-08 02:57:09 +0000 UTC2 because of the ending, the winner being Riya who’s a sociopath and should’ve been arrested (she tried killing several people and she just got a slap on the wrist), Jake changed, she didn’t, also because of the praise Riya has had for winning almost every challenge which seems like rigging to me. Jake was also heavily abused by several people, and the fact he lost made it all for nothing considering how much money I’ve donated and how much emotional energy I’ve spent to protect him from assholes who berate him 24/7. The only positive thing was Ellie and fiore getting out early, I hate that Yul made final nine. I found that to be the biggest disgrace other than Riya winning, Tom, Ashley and Tess were all robbed just for views. Last positive thing was THANK THE LORD YOU FINALLY LET JAKEXTOM LIVE or I would’ve given this season a zero quite frankly. And the toxicity this whole season was appalling to say the least. Sorry, but I gotta be bluntly honest after that extremely disappointing and unfair outcome

2024-09-08 02:56:32 +0000 UTCthe Tom and Aiden rubbing Ellie's elimination was done intentionally to paint them on the wrong so Gabby could have a valid excuse to switch.

2024-09-08 02:55:46 +0000 UTCI think the season had great intention and message. Where it felt short sometimes was the character interactions that took too long for a pay off. Like Jally, we had a seasons worth of their beef, but only 1-2 episodes of them "getting along" if the journey was to eventually get them to be friendlier we need more scenes like this where they begin to understand each other rather than just automatically get along at the end. Same with Riya, she needs more scenes than her just looking sad for us to assume she's a good person at heart. Just one or two scenes of her caring and actually something would add that dimension. I think it would be better to plan what the end goal of these interactions and relationships are supposed to look like and then plan accordingly. Also please don't have characters that don't really lead anywhere, I like Aiden, but having a character last only for an elimination shock isn't the best thing. Plan the character around the elimination not the elimination around the character. Aside from that great season, Jake's arc is probably the best out of all three seasons arc this show has had imo. I think this show excels at character emotions.

2024-09-08 02:55:01 +0000 UTCReally loved this season. The drama, comedy, the discusion. I just feel some plotlines and relationships could’ve been handled better. That’s all 🩷☺️

2024-09-08 02:54:08 +0000 UTCI consider that you gave Jake too much attention during the first half of the season. Instead I think you should have develop Grett situation because it started to feel repetitive the same narrative of Yul being rude again and again without any significant change until superhero episode. Another thing is that I didn’t quite understand Alec’s ending as nasty dad he just takes care of Fiore and that’s it? Another thing is that you should have develop Aiden and Tom friendship a little bit more it felt like there were only friends just to make everyone mad. The could have deeper conversations about their traumas. Gabby deserved a better ending with her other personality idk And as a personal opinion I would love to see more of Lake and Tess during the season but I understand that their plots where already resolved during S2

2024-09-08 02:52:41 +0000 UTCIt feels like this season tried too hard to be unpredictable without enough pay off. Sometimes it did work like with Ashley’s elimination that one was genius, but other times with grett gabby and maybe Tess it just felt unsatisfying

2024-09-08 02:51:59 +0000 UTCI loved this season very much. The character interactions were probably my favorite. These contestants are so diverse. My favorite parts were the premiere revealing what the cast have been up to; James calling Jake out in episode 2; Ellie and Gabby remaining strong in their romance; Alec and Fiore reconciling in episode 11; Grett standing up to, dumping, and eliminating Yul in episode 13; Grett and Gabby’s growing friendship; the epilogue of the finale; and everything about Ashley, Alec, Tess, Grett, Derek and Nina. I give this season a 5. Some eliminations were questionable; the Tom-Jake-Aiden love triangle dragged on too much; Jake and Riya got too much focus; Emily was a wasted character; Kristal didn’t shine that much; and Yul remained a one-dimensional prick. Nonetheless, the storylines and character growth were fabulous.

Hii
2024-09-08 02:51:19 +0000 UTCThe first six episodes were good despite some minor issues like Jake and Tom’s lack of communication and Jake being Jake. After the musical episode, it seemed you guys focused more on the MLM relationships that you villainized most of the female characters like Emily, Ellie, and Ally. You also had the heroes (Aiden, Jake, Tom, Ally, and Ashley) barking at each other like rabid dogs and the main reason why Ally and Jake fought almost the entire season is because Fiore’s manipulations. There were also some plots that went nowhere, characterizations that were a complete paradox (Aiden and Tom saying Ellie’s elimination wasn’t personal when they literally rubbed it in Ellie’s face in front of Gabby), and storylines that just didn’t make sense like the love triangles between Trevek and Kristal and Connor, Riya, and Alec. Lastly, Kristal had so much potential to be the permanent host of Disventure Camp and I know you guys have copyright limits, but there’s still more that Kristal could’ve given. To be blunt, this season started out strong, but burned down to the ground like Ashley’s farm and Purple Team’s stuff.

2024-09-08 02:51:19 +0000 UTCAfter Episode 8 majority of the episodes just left me with a frown on my face, I stuck to the end thinking it could get better but it didn’t, despite the great challenges, a lot of the decisions later on in the episode just made me burst a nerve, Season 1’s approach was a lot better personally but I can’t control these polls, I’m just the one person, so I’d give a 2, points go for challenges and the few improvements of characters
just there
2024-09-08 02:50:38 +0000 UTC3/5. I feel like some of the actual plot points were wasted in terms of length, like dragging along Riyas plot only to note how there's nothing at all. Other than dragged along plots, there's nothing else

2024-09-08 02:50:24 +0000 UTCI loved the pre merge, after yuls elimination the writing felt questionable to me though, especially with Riya Ally and Jake, witu connor it felt like they were just trying to make him feel like a hero so bad in the story it felt a little annoying. Jake got way too much focus this season IMO his love triangle with Aiden and Tom was especially annoying to watch and it felt like it took up so much time of the season where other characters like Tess Ellie Yul Grett could have been explored more. Riya was just extremely inconsistent in my opinion. Ally and Jakes beef was also super annoying and uninteresting to watch. There was also a lot of strange eliminations like ally’s and Gabby’s. Also Ashley she should have been explored more as her own character. Overall though I love disventure camp

2024-09-08 02:47:33 +0000 UTCSpoilers: I loved the Villians alliance, the fact that Riya won, the comeback episode, the superhero challenge, greetings going along with the characters in and out of the game, the upgrade in quality and voice acting, the timeskip aspect, the weekly episodes, the merging of the two staffs from season 1+2, Alec and Fiore reuniting, and the Song challenge (I listen to all 3 religiously). I could probs go on but I really loved it and was content with anyone winning/going far regardless of previous placement!

I loved the variety of the challenges a lot compared to the first two seasons and I can’t wait to see what else you guys come up with! It was fun to see the characters from the 2 generations interact and I couldn’t be happier with what we got from it. I know that there may have been a few bumpy moments but in the end it has improved immensely in the last few years so I’m really excited to see how you guys grow in the future <3 i know a lot of people are upset at the fact Riya won but as I she has been my favorite character since season 2 episode 5 I love how you handled her. 2024-09-08 02:46:53 +0000 UTCI think it was great. Sure, some eliminations were eh and some storylines fell flat, but overall, I think this was great. I’m glad the winner of this season wasn’t a typical winner in the sense that everyone is happy for them, it’s the complete opposite. Riya is alone, despite her success. The message of how far would you go for success and the consequences was amazing, honestly.

2024-09-08 02:46:17 +0000 UTC3/5 I like the final 6 and the winner pick and the elimination order is good on paper but the final 7 episodes were less enjoyable than the first 14(with the exception of 21,19,20 being way better than 7 and 8 of course). Still think this season had great visions though. Jake's arc was easily the best but I don't enjoy the execution of the other final 7 members. I see the vision was intentional and self aware though so I somewhat respect it. Looking forward to seeing what's in store next.

2024-09-08 02:46:08 +0000 UTCI’d be honest I’ll rate it a 2.5 . Don’t get me wrong I love your challenges on this season . They were THE best ones you guys ever did. A SPACE EPISODE, MUSCIAL, DISVENGERS . Most banger episode challenges you guys made. The only problem I have it’s the elimination order. Like I felt that some characters should be like ahead of some others. I know Aiden va came forward and knowing fans wanted him out. Like I agree with the fans on this one since I really don’t think he should have gone far over Tom. But other than that your challenges carried! And the ending was deserved. I hope season 4 will become more awesome.

2024-09-08 02:45:44 +0000 UTCCool finale tbh, but honestly the season definitely was extremely ambitious and had some moments where it faltered, that’s okay it was your first time producing a season of this magnitude, and hopefully you all can learn from the missteps and do even better for dc4. 2024-09-08 02:44:53 +0000 UTCEven though certain writing choices were frustrating in the moment (I’ll still cry for Gabby, Grett, and Ally getting sniped) I still think that seeing it all build up to Riya’s win makes SENSE in hindsight. Some things could have been handled better pacing-wise or characterization-wise but as a whole it was meant to be a different experience than other “fan seasons” and for that I have to give DCAS its 10s

2024-09-08 02:44:33 +0000 UTCI honestly really enjoyed it, but I was disappointed on how many characters (LAKE) weren't included in the story that much and I would've liked to see their potential.

2024-09-08 02:44:32 +0000 UTCThe ending does impact the rest of the season in a positive way and bumped my score from 3 to 4

2024-09-08 02:44:31 +0000 UTCi thought it was a nice ride although i had a lot of personal issues with a few of the plots and character writing. most of it coming from characters acting rather idiotic in the moment when they should know otherwise, etc. some moments felt like pure plot devices and forcing the narrative in a certain way. some plots dragged on like the love triangles or felt so frustrating even if it made sense. i enjoyed the season though, it was a fun ride and despite my gripes and criticisms, i’m looking forward to dc4!

2024-09-08 02:44:23 +0000 UTCI put 2 morally because of the winner it really ruined it all for me and I don’t dislike anything else about it

2024-09-08 02:44:17 +0000 UTCIt was okay third season Finale. Even though I knew Riya was going to win since she’s not going to lose twice and rank second again, I feel bad for Jake for not beating Riya, but otherwise, he got back together with Tom.

2024-09-08 02:44:15 +0000 UTCOverall I’ve gotta give it a 5. I’m slightly disappointed in the ending but I can see that it’s an objectively fitting ending to the season. I felt attached to so many of the characters and felt genuine anxiety and excitement over seeing would go next. Having my fave (Jake) there the whole season really helped me stay interested.

2024-09-08 02:44:12 +0000 UTCThe ending was great even though my favourite didn’t win I was a lot happier knowing that they still got a happy ending everyone(minusriya) left Disventure camp happy also the bring back of Tom and Jake was amazing.

2024-09-08 02:43:50 +0000 UTCI mean tbf he didn’t really get a redemption

2024-09-08 02:43:50 +0000 UTCThe amount of growth the characters went through was incredible and reflected a lot for a lot of people who could relate to the characters, myself included Incredible work guys

2024-09-08 02:43:43 +0000 UTCI enjoyed dcas because I love the fact the characters from s1 and 2 were all together and interact and making friendships and alliances

2024-09-08 02:43:43 +0000 UTCIt was so addicting and the drama was so messy and I like that

2024-09-08 02:43:37 +0000 UTCI loved this season so much, I hope it's as nice in the next one (if there is going to be, obviously)

2024-09-08 02:43:36 +0000 UTCThere were some moments where I enjoyed, and some that didn’t. This season was good but not fantastic either. I actually love the character developments and multiple story lines with not just the campers, but the hosts as well. I still love WillXAshley to death and I’m also happy that some couples got in the spotlight as well

2024-09-08 02:43:36 +0000 UTCA damn roller coaster, but a good one.

2024-09-08 02:43:35 +0000 UTCI mean some eliminations were bull and I feel like you rob some people(Gabby, Alec, and Grett) but overall it was good. I wish Riya was not in the finale. Because it’s weird that someone on a show that’s kind of like total drama made it to the finale and the final two twice.

2024-09-08 02:43:32 +0000 UTCI loved it! The only part I didn’t get is yul redemption I wanted him to get redeemed

2024-09-08 02:43:23 +0000 UTC3. it’s okay but if they didn’t ruin characters so bad it’d be a 4. so mad about what they did to riya at the end..

2024-09-08 02:43:20 +0000 UTCI loved dcas but there were definitely some moments that could have been better and Riya definitely shouldn’t have won and got way too much spotlight for this season

2024-09-08 02:43:14 +0000 UTCI honestly thought it was pretty good until Grett got eliminated, Yul almost got redemption, and Riya won. Those are like, my only complaints though

2024-09-08 02:43:00 +0000 UTCit had lots of potential, but the eliminations were bs and the way ally and gabby got eliminated was so dirty
