The Lord of Lies, Gnome Inventions and Medieval House!

This time we have a proxy of Belial from the Diablo universe. You might remember him as one of the Act 2 bosses in Diablo 3. He is also known as the Lord of Lies, probably because he literally wears more than one face but also wields a lot of illusion magic in combat.

It's kind of hard to see in game but concept art depicts Belial as a floating lich like monster. He also has a more hulked up form although both kind of hover in mid air without any legs. I remember having Belial on the ropes, but then transforms and that was a whole new level of pain. 😅

Nonetheless, I stuck closer to his form one version with some slight experimental variations for now although I can try to make his more hulked up form later. My ultimate goal is to have a cool diorama with Avacyn stabbing him in the chest like her card art.

So for this month's original project, I'm decided to do a Gnome tinkering in his workshop. Gnomes that I've come across in RPGs are generally eccentric but incredibly creative individuals. My gnome is experimenting with a new brand of turnip beer but he also makes other potions.

At first I was just planning on giving the Gnome a diorama with some lab equipment. But the more I worked on this project, the more felt more natural to turn the workshop into an actual house as I think that's more useful to community members who run RPGs. So yeah, I guess I'm branching into the housing market this month as that's definitely something I've never done before. 😉

So the idea of this project to make this very modular. Not only will the Gnome have furniture you can repurpose the house assets it into a tavern, a smithy or apartment. I'm pretty sure that can be useful in any campaign. The WIPs in this post are meant to show what you can do with these assets, the different floor tiles and furniture options. If players want something specific, I will try to accommodate in the timeframe I have this month.

Up next are some fan requests and I think I'll start working on the Karl Urban fan casting from last month. I'm not sure Lion 2.0 will be released next month but I do want to get that moving at the very least. Also, Sci Fi voting will be up next week.
