The Dark Queen and Angel of Hope! (Fantasy WIP)

Hello!

A late Happy New Year! 🥳 I'm back from a trip out of town and am catching up with this month's characters. The good news is that I've already posed them to make up for some lost time. High resolution turntables are available here.

So first up we have Takhisis, specifically from the The Dark Queen of Krynn RPG game. I'm not really familiar with Dragonlance lore, but from what I've read, she is the goddess of domination, tyranny, hatred, darkness and evil dragons. She is also Dragonlance's version of Tiamat as Takhisis has a human form and 5 headed dragon form. Although this got confusing when I looked into different sources. But at least some say they are the same character.

All that aside, I'm doing the version as depicted from the 1992 board game and pretty much stuck to how she looks in the cover. Is that Raistlin tied with snakes on the cover? Do fans want me to include that as well? Please let me know.

Next up is Avacyn the Angel of Hope. As I mentioned before, appearance wise she looks pretty much like her loopy version save for some very minor makeup changes in her card art. I experimented a little with an alternate costume on the side and a halo version. Still deciding if I will implement these changes. I also noticed the spear is slightly different so I made a new version of that.

But I am curious what fans actually want me to do differently beyond giving her a new pose. My current idea beyond a slightly different costume is to include Belial this month and have Avacyn stabbing him from above like this concept art. I think that would look pretty cool. What do voters think? 😄

Up next is my Gnome Tinkerer. For this original project, I think what I'll do with that is make a bunch of assets that can be set up as a kind of workshop he can experiment in. That way, community members can use it for my custom diorama or their own separate projects. One idea that crossed my mind was to make a Drinking Buddy Golem that dispenses turnip beer. Don't think about it too hard, it's a very obscure BG2 reference. 😅
