September Vote Results and Final WIPs

Hello!

The poll results are in and Red Sonja takes the lead by a pretty wide margin followed by Akroma the Angel of Wrath. Which means in October I will work on these two poll winners and my completely original character diorama. I have some pretty detailed set pieces planned for Red Sonja and my character.

So I'd like to briefly touch on how I will be moving forward based on the survey questions I put out last month (thanks again to everyone who provided feedback! 👍).

Okay, onto the bonus content! Almost all of the items are not shown on patreon. Please check this month's email notifications to access the final set of WIPs.

Since September was Smurf month (tbh, every month is basically Smurf month 😅), I thought it thematically appropriate to do something along those lines. Also a community member wanted to make miniatures literally bashing enemies with the Codex Astartes wrestling style. So to parallel the launch of Space Marine 2: It's Smurfin' Time, I present to you the most contentious piece of literature in out of universe: The Holy Book of Big Papa Smurf with a special forward from the G-Man himself!

And for all the fans that consider the Codex Astartes nothing more than toilet paper, worry not. I have prepared the necessary accessories for you to enjoy Big Papa Smurf's wisdom in the manner of your choosing 😉. Plus now, you can literally include literal Smurfs wielding bolters or waving the Codex Astartes into your tabletop armies. Remember to say it's Smurfin' time when it's your turn. 😄

For anyone that doesn't get the joke, Ultramarines are often nicknamed 'Smurfs' or 'Blueberries' because of their colour scheme. I prefer Smurfs to differentiate them from the T'au. Their Chapter Master is often called 'Papa Smurf' and their Primarch 'Big Papa Smurf'. The jokes write themselves. Also the Codex Astartes is often touted in universe as the 'greatest military treatise ever conceived' or toilet paper by the Space Wolves and Black Templars.

Anyways, here's a breakdown of October's release:

October 2024 1 Year+ Bonus Reward

That's it for this month's Grimdark content! I had lot's of fun doing community request, the Perturabo diorama was particularly satisfying. Alright, to dive into the Hyborian mythos!

Hi, I understand where you're coming from. It think the heroic scale presupports will have to be done on a case by case basis.

Somehow, I missed the questions in the post. For whatever it's worth at this point. LOL ... For me, I'd LOVE to get these (especially the presupported versions *ahem*) in 28mm. I print more for game use than my shelf. So, the 50mm and 100mm sizes are typically unusable for me. And yeah (before anyone replies to tell me), I know I can always reduce the size and support them myself. I just don't have the time. I'm a "certain kind of retentive" when it comes to doing my own supports. It would take me 4 or 5 hours to support a standard sized 28mm model (especially as detailed and complicated as these sculpts are), and I just don't have the time. As it sits, when I print I only print presupported stuff for that reason.

Thanks, I'm glad you like the designs! 👍 Yeah, I agree the detail doesn't carry over at heroic scale.

I hate to be the guy, but I would love hero/table tops scale. My problem that ( genuinely nonoffense meant) your work dosnt really work at that scale. You have by far some of coolest models but most of it is unusable for table top or role play. So unless the model is designed from the start to have the more heroic proportions which normally looks horrible in larger scales it is probably not worth it.
