July Vote Results

The July results are in! And it looks like there are three major standouts in this poll!

The Zaku took a small lead but the Transformer and Vampirella suggestions are basically tied.
So to balance next month out and not make it too mech heavy, I'll put in Vampirella for the August lineup and the classic Transformers in the Sci Fi month after.

Okay, now's a good time to show the bonus 1 year Fantasy reward!

So a bit of context for this month's bonus character.  Back in D&D 3/3.5, there was a prestige class called the Red Dragon Disciple.  In Forgotten Realms at least, it's well known that characters with magical bloodlines often become sorcerers.  And some bloodlines were so rare they trace their lineage to that of draconic origin.  The Red Dragon Disciple was a class option where a characters chooses to fully embrace their dragon heritage and uses their exclusive traits to their fullest advantage.  I guess the closest comparison to 5E is the Half Dragon but they're not really the same thing.

To be honest the Red Dragon Disciple class itself was very underwhelming (anyone who has played NWN will tell you that, including me).  But visually, they looked incredibly cool.  And some of my friends who played D&D wanted to see me create a Red Dragon Disciple.  After tinkering with this character in the background for awhile, I decided this would be a perfect bonus fantasy character for those nostalgic for some vintage D&D classes.  Her physical appearance and equipment is based on a lot of our group discussions on what she should look like (i.e. a draconic eyes and scales on skin, red sash of Sune, uses a katana, has a pseudodragon familiar, gold flecked wings and wields silver fire).

And that's another fantasy month in the books!  Good times, really enjoyed working on Gotrek as he's my first dwarf character ever.  For Grimdark fans, please let your Night Lord buddies what's coming in August because as usual I won't be able to show much of Konrad Curze publicly.  I guess that's true for Gotrek as well. 😄
