The next Sci Fi Alternative Poll is here! All items are taken from the Sci Fi Alternative Suggestion Box. It is a combination of new items and popular items from last round that did not win. Here's the link to all the items in the poll (attached to the post as well).
A couple of things to note:
- 2B from Nier Automata and the BattleTech Blackwatch Mech are guaranteed next month. Therefore I will be choosing fewer items from the poll, 1 or 2 at most for August. However if the results are close enough I may add poll entries into the queue for the next Sci Fi Month.
- I've grouped suggestions that I think are visually similar enough into one poll item.
- Only suggestions with proper names are considered for the poll.
- Please add 30K/40K suggestions to the Grimdark suggestion box.

Cmon people really? MORE blocky robots? I feel like we are depriving ourselves of 3dArtGuy's range of skills here; I'm SURE that the RX-78-2 Gundam from 1979, and the Zaku series from the same originating 1979 series, and the original transformers from 1984 all look TOTALLY different from each other - and they are by no means what the Heavy Weapons Mechs and Golden Mechs or Elf Ghostbots all evolved their looks from (some having changed more than others admittedly). And of course these will have nothing in common with the already confirmed upcoming Blackwatch Mech - now I don't doubt 3DArtGuy's ability to produce outstanding examples for each of these variations on the same theme, my issue is that this theme of heavily armour-plated bipedal inorganic constructs, the parade of robots, fauxbots, humanoid armoured iron lungs, space elf ghostbots of every size imaginable and even the armoured scifi soldiers of various types that have featured in past months have left the releases feeling a bit....samey since I joined, which is so disappointing given the range I saw across the releases prior to subscribing. Of course compared to many, if not most, of the subscribers here I am a total newcomer at I think four months but I am already aching to see us take advantage of the regular polls we're fortunate provide us such serious levels of input into upcoming releases and stretch 3dArtGuy's skills with more varied subjects for him to work with than I have been around to see so far, to push him even higher. As a space marine player I am loving the varied and magnificent Primarch figures along with other legendary marines, but I'd readily agree that there has been a long stretch of Primarchs plus other iconic figures in power armour like Garro, part of the recent releases which I had been loving with no wish to see a break in them...until the totally badass (as long as she has the undercut alternative hairstyle :P) WIP Avacyn (who I hadn't heard of before now) left me wanting more badass women to be represented by 3DArtGuy, so that they can be properly shown to be as awesome as they are; at least as cool as any male counterparts or contemporaries they may have in their own or other 'verses (for example, by showing them BOTH fully dressed AND without comically inflated boobs - unlike the MANY other designers for whom that is their go-to move for anyone female) and I am sure, based on Avacyn and the relatively limited other examples to be found in his previous releases, he can reproduce the look and classic expressions of a character that show off the hotness that is unique to them; not churn out the same under-dressed, over-inflated scifi barbies that differ largely in face alone (but rarely with any actual facial expressions....)and are frankly insulting to both genders; to women with their visual portrayals of female leaders, female warriors, soldiers, mercenaries and the varied other forms of girl-badassery routinely over-sexualised whether even faintly appropriate/relevant to the character and to men with the assumption that these over-sexualised caricatured impersonations of their favourite female characters are what they really want regardless of their sexual orientation, as opposed to a visual representation that might capture something of why that character is amongst their favourites. It is probably too late for the Borderlands Sirens to swing enough votes now, no matter how perfect the 6 (7? No, 8 surely? Does Tiny Tina count?) of them would be with their different individual styles and their own unique flavour of Siren ability that could be represented in some really cool ways (and some that I can't think of a cool way to show off what it does, so would be intrigued to see what ideas 3DArtGuy would have on them), but this rant took longer than expected to finish writing (the Avacyn poses WIP getting released while I was supposed to be concentrating on finishing really didn't help with that, but they do drive my points home quite nicely) as it started with a plea for my fellow subscribers to vote for a bit less of the same when I saw the Borderlands Sirens there as an option (with badass Avacyn who I'd never heard of but now can't wait for having been recently driven home that 3DArtGuy's 3D women would look cool asf and the Sirens could exemplify that SO hard) yet seeing more votes for three of essentially the same thing, not just similar to each other but as along a theme common to several recent releases and ended more to do with the range that we could be getting if there were fewer votes, as my esteemed colleague has phrased it, "titties and old style Transformers" and more votes for some variety away from the past few months and away from ideas that have been done to death (Vampirella pun fully intended. This whole comment was really just a roundabout way to end with that :P)

Tits for the slobbering basement jaxx IYKYK are everywhere already, come now let's get something that hasn't already flooded the 3d market!
