What You Should Get When You Google 'Badass'. (Fantasy Month WIP)

At long last, Guts is making his debut! Renowned as the "Black Swordsman", Guts is a former mercenary and branded wanderer who travels the world in a constant internal struggle with his own inner darkness, which manifests as the Beast of Darkness. Even as his inner darkness festers deep within him and its temptation becomes increasingly harder to resist, he retains his empathy and compassion, refusing to discard his humanity.
So, I don't know much about this series besides the fact it's a dark fantasy manga/anime. What I have read shows a pretty grim setting with Guts having a rough upbringing himself so I'll just stick to describing his aesthetics. His Berserker Armor was forged by the dwarf blacksmith Hanarr, who imbued it with a violent od, which is designed to draw out the wearer's negative emotions, particularly fear and rage. While it drastically empowers the wearer, if they do not actively check their negative emotions, the od can consume the wearer's psyche, turning them into a feral, bloodthirsty monster that can no longer differentiate between friend and foe. His helmet is actually shaped as the Beast of Darkness, the manifestation of Gut's wrath. Due to the potency of this armor, Guts can only wear it by reinforcing his mind and spirit with a powerful magical presence.
His trademark sword is the Dragon Slayer, a huge slab of metal that functions more like a bladed maul than an actual sword. Guts is more than capable of using it to cut through various targets and the sheer momentum of Guts swinging it can tear anyone caught in the attack impact into pieces with one swing. As the name implies, the sword is supposedly capable of killing a dragon although I don't think Guts has actually killed one yet. But wait! This month also includes a dragon, THE dragon, so is this a case of crossover serendipity? Stay tuned to find out as I start working on poses!

2021-10-11 14:28:39 +0000 UTCYeah he has a whole forearm that is a cannon, you can see that better when he's not wearing the armor. His "signature move" is slashing vertically forward, which leaves him severely unbalanced, then shooting with the cannon to give himself angular momentum due to his imbalance and use that angular momentum to drag the sword back in motion for an horizontal slash.

2021-10-11 08:00:03 +0000 UTCThey are probably this wide due to the "crotch gap" you gave him which you probably did in preparation for posing him and that seems like the kind of stuff that can throw people off while sculpting. Give him a wide legged A-Pose and you should be able to find more human proportions pretty easily
