Go Forth And Be Awesome (Legendary Figures WIP)

New updates are here for the Big E! So for the Emperor's poses, I wanted to base them on famous events. The first one harkens back to the Great Crusade, a great time to be an Imperium loving human but terrible time to be anything else. You see, there was a bleak period in 40K history called the Age of Strife when the entire galaxy was just awful. Humanity had spread across the stars but a combination of AI uprisings, Daemonic incursions and Xenos enslavement had brought the species to the brink of extinction. It was during this hellish period that the Emperor launched the Great Crusade, a massive reconquest of the stars which would also unify the shattered elements of humanity under the newly forged Imperium of Man.
This was truly a sight to behold and arguably when the Imperium was at its strongest point. Led by the Emperor, His Primarchs and the Space Marine Legions, these forces utterly steamrolled the galaxy. Not only were countless human colonies assimilated, almost all the hostile xenos were utterly exterminated. No enemy could stand against the Emperor's armies and in a few short centuries, most of the civilised galaxy had become part of the Imperium. There are way too many highlights of the Great Crusade to cover. But one of the most famous paintings of that era shows the Emperor standing at the head of His armies, pointing them to victory. I knew this was one of the awesome poses I had to capture this month.
The second pose is for an equally important event. It's when the Emperor steps into Horus' throne room on the Vengeful Spirit and witnesses Sanguinius lying dead at the arch traitor's feet. I'm pretty sure I don't need to explain why I included this one. π
So the impression I'm getting is that this design is 'probably okay' (i.e. there is a chance GW won't make too much of a fuss but you never know). So for now I'll keep the design as is.
I've been working on the Keeper of Secrets' pose as well. It's shaping up to be alluring and disturbing at the same time. Will show more when it's more refined.

To be fair... everybody draws Big E as an hyper muscular and powerful man, possibly "very aryan" to go with the bits of lore where "yeah you do not want to be in this universe". Somehow i always imagined him as being thig gaunt middle eastern dude figure that would fit in the power armor just because of sheer will... which... i mean... he had enough to spare. So, going for something like that would probably make sure that there is no way GW would question your work, as they never depict him like that. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/751370783565021204/854986441423192074/quirky-mature-african-man-isolated-on-white-picture-id154887778.png But also: yeah... nobody would consider that "the emperor" since he is never depicted that way. π€£ So going for this look is the best bet. ππ Small off topic: everybody tells Lorgar he is the one whose looks mimic the emperor's the most, but given the emperor looks like "whatever he wants" i never understood if that should be taken as "yeah i should imagine Lorgar exactly like i imagine the emperor, but seething with self doubt and arrogance" or "yeah, everybody pretty much is having a joke on Lorgar because everybody got something of their father where they are good at and he is the only one who basically got a bit of everything and pretty much nothing good enough, so they tell him that as a joke, which he is trying his best to ignore that is why he acts like an angry child all the time."
