In the last update, I mentioned I wanted to show Cain's career in a nutshell. And in general, his crazy campaigns takes the following pattern:
1. Cain gets dragged into a crisis due to his heroic reputation.
2. Cain tries his damnedest to weasel out of said crisis but his decisions drag him into MORE danger.
3. He eventually stumbles across the main threat which is WAY above his weight class (Warboss/Hive Tyrant/Greater Daemon).
4. Jurgen saves the day with his melta gun and/or Pariah abilities.
5. Cain gets MORE glory and Jurgen gets nothing.
6. Rinse and repeat.
So with every story, Cain's reputation skyrockets and his smug face gets plastered across more recruitment posters in the Imperium. His book covers are basically super propagandised versions of each campaign so I thought it would be fun show that in diorama form. With Cain posing for the camera in front of his latest 'victory' while the true hero is out of focus. Jurgen doesn't mind though. He's perfectly happy being Cain's aide and reading his uh, 'adult themed literature'.
Fun fact: In every book/propaganda poster, Cain is seen wielding a bolt pistol. But he never actually uses one in real combat. Cain prefers the humble laspistol for its increased reliability and accuracy.
I'll be spending some time finalising the Diorama details and then I'll turn my attention to his second pose. The single versions of Cain will probably come out first this month. The parts version will be towards the end. I'll also make a post about the next vote in the next couple of days. Until then!

Hi Ricky, yes this item is available in the Tier 3 welcome pack under the folder 'August2020_Officer_PoseOne'.

2020-07-18 02:41:28 +0000 UTCPlease consider inverting the skull in the basket-hilt of the second pose because that (i.e., top of skull in same vertical alignment with top of blade of sword) would make more sense when the sword is held upright and toward the opponent. This is some of the best 3d work I have ever seen. Hope it prints faithfully to your rendering!
