There’s a bunch about dragon minutia that exists but there’s only about 3 major things that haven’t been talked about!! After this you’ll be like a watered down Vex! (Migraines not included 🧠) 1 — DracoLiches! 🦴 Undead Dragons… there you go ☠️ A Lich is a living corpse that can live forever even if you kill it again, because its souls is stuffed in an inanimate object of its choice called a Phylactery… you’ve seen one in game of thrones! Dragons in DnD can do the same… We see this was Raishan’s plan all along! No disease, better body, mortal wounds go bye-bye 👋, WIN WIN! Right? Wrong 😮… there’s one problem… Tiamat, the mother of all chromatic 🌈 dragons doesn’t want to share immortality. A dragon who breaks her hierarchy will be denied a place in her home in the afterlife… also probably have their soul eaten… Because of this, it’s only the MOST prideful, greedy, and intelligent dragons who ever risk it for the biscuit and go full dracolich. (So Greens 🐍 or sometimes Blues. Not reds, they’re momma’s favorite) …never go full dracolich… 2 — Purple Dragons!!! 💜 They’re in your walls 👀 They live underground ‼️BUT‼️don’t be fooled. “The Underdark” in dnd is like hollow earth theory meets attack of the brain eating aliens. Entire continents, oceans, and civilizations reside below 👇 and purple Dragons get it all to themselves 😈 Thin like a snake, lean like a cat, they slink through the tunnels below with ease. They love exploring and manipulating people via lies and deceit. And if that doesn’t work, they can straight up just mind control you. Lots of stuff in the Underdark have mind powers for some reason… Suraj has probably seen that from what he’s seen of Critical Role’s campaign! Also BG3… They breathe a hypnotic gas. 3 — Gem Dragons! 💎 You read that right! There’s a THIRD TYPE OF DRAGON!! 💯 If metallic dragons are good 😇 and chromatic are evil 👿, Gem dragons are Neutral. They said, “fuck this good and evil shit, imma stick to my fifty shades of gray.” Cool, calm, collected, in their lane, often studying a topic of life that they’re fascinated with, Gem dragon💎 scales are glossy and shine like gemstones, often becoming slightly see through like glass. They also are all powerful psychics lol They go as follows!: Amethyst 🔮: Top of the charts! Also called lavender dragons, up there with Gold and Red, they can manipulate the world around them with their mind. Unlike other dragons, they don’t breathe an element… they blast a wall of concussive force from their gob! 🗣️💥 Also they like to dig 🤷 Sapphire 🧿: May not be evil but they’re TERRITORIAL AS FUCK! Militaristic masterminds of strategy, Athena’s fanboys. They ALSO live underground! They also like spiders…🕷️ They breathe thunderous blasts of sound! …They scream! Emerald 🌴: Also called Tropic Dragons, often mistaken for Greens, they’re history nerds who horde historical knowledge. They are also ravingly paranoid 👀👀 Their scales refract light in a way that makes it seem like their skin is always moving. Their breath… is just wind 🌬️ Topaz 🥀: Edgar Allen Poe but as a dragon… they’re orange-yellow color and have a strange fascination with death. They like to learn about dead things and they WILL tell you about their nihilistic views if you don’t leave. They spit a necrotic magic sucks all the moisture from your body. They live near salty sea water :3 Crystal🪞: Golden Retriever dragons! They love making friends and being kind to everyone! They like the cold and will often STEAL white dragon eggs to raise them to be good! They make igloo palaces like Elsa My brother in Christ, their scales are see through like glass and they shoot FUCKING LAZERS AND THATS IT!!! 👏 Thank you for listening! You are now honorary dragon masters 🙇 Oh P.S. There’s Giant Snapping Turtles called Turtle Dragons that breathe steam and eat ships too 🐢

2025-08-12 08:59:52 +0000 UTC#SundayRundown As you might have heard, Sam Riegel (Scanlan) was diagnosed with throat cancer. The song Scanlan and his daughter sing at the end was the final thing he recorded, literally the day before he started chemo. There was a very serious threat that the cancer would ruin his vocal cords and he wouldn't be able to voice act anymore, thus in essence that song was not only Scanlan's goodbye to Vox Machina, but a potential goodbye for Sam. Thankfully, Sam made a full recovery and can still continue to act, but for a short while it was a bit sad to think this could have been the final song Sam/Scanalan would ever sing.

Like, this was almost clinical how you handle adapting a game where death is quite common and resurrections are a thing. And if they weren't sure about a season 4, bringing Percy back is a very logical choice.

They changed some things to craft an ending that would work if this was the last episode. Fortunately, it is not.

2025-08-11 18:38:53 +0000 UTC#Sunday Rundown that 3rd voice you were hearing Suraj was Levar Burton (from Reading Rainbow) he was close friends with Lance Reddick. His daughter Mica is a close friend of the CR cast. When Lance passed, his widow gave Levar her blessing to record the melded Thordak/Raishan lines because of how close Levar and Lance were, as they were the only ones Lance was unable to record before he passed.

2025-08-11 17:16:17 +0000 UTCNow that we are here, I will mention that Percy in campaign was resurrected in the episode after his death in campaign , also Ripley was killed in the same episode as Percy so those were the big major changes this season. Keeping Percy dead longer made his death has more impact. Also Vex's speech was a nat 20 as well, dubbed true love's natural 20
