Juror is making 5% because he tried to kill Tony he was told he lucky to be a live money is influence in the mob Juror has little money so he can't influence people to turn on Tony Richie won't listen so turn don't let him earn much money

Kwame James

Just a heads up the guy in the picture in the bar is the Larry boy him and ally boy cousin and the Capo of that part of Tony's mob but also it's not just Richie not respected remember in season one Juror tried to kill Tony and Tony killed his whole crew he was left with Bobby and like one or two old guys it's not worth the risk

Kwame James

I finally got y’all’s Patreon just to hurry and see yall reaction to Richie getting killed so worth it

How are they still mispronouncing Silvio's name this deep into it

i think what you guys forget about chris situation and what differentiates it from Richie is that. When chris hits his girl, she immediately hits him back and it seems like they have been in that style of relation ship for a while, so they are use to it (and while its not good, are excepting of it some what). Richie just punches her.

I know it's been said before that these characters are "discovering feelings" (that's more Dexter if anything) but it's always been more about how these people are slowly realizing just how trapped they are in their lives. It was present in the first season but it ramped up in the second season. Nearly every episode this season has honed in on this idea of being trapped in one way or another. Melfi, Pussy, and even smaller and sparser storylines for Meadow and AJ had this idea take shape in different ways. And of course Tony, Carmela, Chris and Janice provided the most heft for the theme in multiple episodes.

Rest in Piss Richie. We hardly knew ye. But yet, at the same time we knew so much.... Shout out David Proval (actor who plays Richie)

No honor amongst theives

Apparently that was also the last scene she filmed before her passing. 😭SHE WAS A SAINT!😭

That scene where Tony falls and you see Livia laugh, then she closes the door. To me, that part where she closes the door, is always so ominous to me. She is an evil character, she laughs at her kid falling, then shuts the door to be by herself in an empty home. I find it hard to describe, if that makes sense.

As someone who has done multiple rewatches of this show, it's always cool to hear others' perspectives on these characters and this world. I'm having fun rewatching with you guys. Kinda sucks waiting a week for the next ep, but it gives me something to look forward to on Mondays! My only small gripe is no one gets Silvio's name right lol. It's pronounced SIL-VEE-O not SIL-VO. I realize up to this point, he hasn't had a major role yet and they haven't said his name a ton.

You guys seem to be completely misinterpreting the conversation between Junior, Richie and Jackie Jr. They were talking about Larry Barese when Jackie says he'd kill him himself, not Tony. Richie literally says that he has friends in federal holding who would love to take him out. I'm not sure how you guys thought that meant Tony.

What a shock. Another uncut with a random sync time well into the opening scene. Please explain why it's so difficult to start the sync at the beginning of the first scene like every other reaction channel.

Such a fantastic episode. Janice is the One Punch woman: hit her with just one punch, and she'll cap your sorry ass

“So what if (your son) is gay, what would be the big-“ Richie slaps Janice out of his own self-hatred. You guys called it in the first episode with him, he insisted on getting his dick sucked in the dark by one of the dancers at the bing. His time in prison was spent in the company of men Before running over Beansie, Beansie yelled at him “I don’t know why you have such a hard on for me?” Sopranos is kind of like The Wire or Succession in regard to its relationship with sex, the characters in power see themselves as either the one’s fucking or the one’s being fucked. Uncle Junior pleasing his girl was so looked down upon, prioritizing pleasuring someone else sexually isn’t healthy male behavior and if you’re gay then you’re an affront to the whole hierarchy of the mob Fittingly the episode opens with Richie’s son dancing, just happy and living his best life Janice escaped her abusive and neglectful father by running away but ended up with a man like him. She tried to reclaim her life and childhood by building a life with that man, letting him hold a gun to her head during sex to give him a feeling of dominance. Instead of running when she’s abused she takes power for herself. Parallels Tony’s connection to Livia

The reason Tony doesn’t let his crew keep a higher percentage of scores is because he knows they never kick up their full percentage anyway. He tells them they can keep 5%, knowing they will probably secretly keep 10%. It’s a cost of doing business they go over in later seasons.

#SundayRundown This is a fantastic episode that subverts expectations in the best way possible. Since Richie was introduced as the proverbial big bad this season he seemed destined to be on a collision course with Tony. For him to get taken out by Janice in the penultimate episode of the season is a real surprise. It turns out Janice is no Rocco DiMeo & they aren't in Essex County. At least Richie died doing what he loved: being a miserable sociopath.

SunnydaleClassof99

Wrong episode. Commendatori was 2x4. Richie debuted in 2x3. In fact he wasn't in 2x4 at all.

Hank Scorpio

One of the best episodes of the entire show!

# SundayRundown Ah yes, only a mastermind could have realized that...POKÉMON CARDS would be currency in the future. Somehow we've folded backwards.

In his debut appearance in “Toodle-Fucking-Oo,” Richie says to Christopher, “You wanna raise your hand, you give her your last name.” This declaration encapsulates his toxic control, rendering his eventual demise at Janice’s hands profoundly ironic. Janice’s act of shooting Richie is a fitting culmination, subverting his rigid “old-school” code with poetic justice. Livia’s cruelty when she laughs at Tony’s fall, her initial feigned concern dissolving into malicious amusement upon witnessing his pain or embarrassment reveals a chilling level of emotional manipulation. This moment underscores her sadistic delight in her son’s vulnerability, a stark contrast to the maternal affection Tony so desperately craves. Meanwhile, Tony’s character embodies complex contradictions. His support for Janice, especially after she kills Richie, underscores his familial loyalty. Yet, his duplicity as a husband, visiting his mistress, Irina, in the hospital while deceiving Carmela about severing ties, exposes his moral failings. This juxtaposition of devotion and betrayal encapsulates Tony’s struggle to reconcile his personal desires with his familial obligations. Almost done with Season 2 and can’t wait for you guys to get into Season 3
