#SundayRundown Hey Y'all. This has nothing to do with the show, so it's prolly not important for the rundown, but I put the #rundown hopefully so you'll see it. I've been dealing with depression recently, and have been doing pretty well: therapy, taking meds, mindfulness, etc. However, sometime around the halfway mark today, I started to drop, and I was on a downward slope ever since. It kinda felt like how it feels to be home after going swimming. Cold but like... dry from just being wet?? A very hollow feeling. The fun and happiness is over, and you're tired but still awake. I was starting to feel dread and a general air of "Something bad is going to happen," which usually happens before panic attacks when I'm really low. I got ADHD and I even stopped talking to myself out loud... very unnerving... !HOWEVER! I came back to y'all's reactions (Vox and FMAB specifically) and suddenly felt warmer and calmer once again. Even a smile. So I just wanted to say, Thank You. It probably doesn't feel like you guys are actually changing anything or helping anyone by reacting with your friends. But it gave me a safe space, a legit saving grace to stop myself from spiraling. I found that cool and wanted to tell you.

they just released the first trailer for the campaign 2 show. I hope you can react to this show

The Pike stuff I don't mind because Pike just wasn't there for most of it anyway, and I don't think Matt really ever got the chance to do major things with her character as a result (and the one plotline we did get is likely going to get cut). We have no way of knowing what *his* original plan was for her.

I like to believe the Matron showed up for Kash because he was confused He thought he was still alive which, on the bright side, means he didn’t feel pain when he died. I think whenever we see the Matron showed up it’s when someone is like “What? Wait I don’t want to…” Like at the Dragon attack in Emon, she was probably guiding someone confused like Kash. And She guided Umbrasyl probably because he was being defiant and was too strong to just let drift.

#SundayRundown GOD, I LOVE RAISHAN 🐍 I love green dragons. Little sneaky assholes. THIS is why they’re #3 on the ladder. Greens are just below the two colors (Red 🔥 and Blue ☔️) who are so far above everyone else that they’re really only competing with each other. But then comes the Greens 🐍… reminding them that if either slip at all, BOTH of them need to be looking at the rung below them too. After Thordak dies, we see that Raishan is actually pretty charismatic! She’s been cold and straight faced the whole show, but when she’s seconds from getting what she wants, suddenly she’s all swagger! Her posture even relaxed at Thordak’s corpse 😂 “Come to Congratulate me?” -Raishan literally surrounded by enemies wielding God Slaying Weapons. “Oh ho HO! Such BRAVADO!” - She’s so cocky! She always felt this way the whole show, underneath! Green dragons can lie so well they can even trick themselves. No wonder she got past Vex’s radar. My Queen 🐍

RAISHAN 🐍 BEST CHARACTER WOOOO!! I am a critter and must admit… every time Raishan was interacting with them I kinda wanted her to win 😆

It’s always fun as a Dm to make the endgame boss go “wait a minute…. I can RUN!”

GRUNG!!

I'm not a Critter so I can't comment on the original campaign. I'm a huge fan of the show and I've seen a lot of reactions from Critters and non-Critters alike. I get that there were a lot of changes for the sake of adapting the game to the show. Many of the changes are to give death a gravity that it might not have in a game where resurrection and wish spells are a thing. For me (who have been spoiled on a number of things for this show), I wasn't bothered by these past three episodes. If anything, the show probably felt its most epic here. This episode in particular was giving me LOTR vibes. Have I mentioned that I'm a huge fan of Raishan? The little green eyed kid from the first episode of season 2. The fact that Vex can't detect her. Raishan is a match-up problem. She doesn't brute force her way like Thordak and Vorugal. She is a top-tier spellcaster who also happens to be an ancient dragon. And yes, in keeping with Keyleth's Avatar inspired story, Raishan's Blight spell took the form of Zaheer's suffocation air-bending move. That definitely was intentional.

About death, no matter what God you follow, if you die it's usually the Matron of Ravens that they see. Each god has a domain that they are in charge of and hers is fate and death

It was briefly alluded to here as Thordak began to retreat: ancient red dragons in DnD have an 80ft fly speed, which just means Not only are they a giant sack of hit points with high armor, a breath weapon, legendary resistances and actions, and usually a lair to deal with They are also very fast, faster than most folks can run, so….beating one requires alot of planning and coordination. Many dragons are smart enough to run, so a DM can make a dragon a boss that is hard to kill due to its ability to run and come back later

Sunday Rundown: Vax's final strike on Thordak was done so well. In the campaign, Liam O'Brian channeled so much real emotion from recently losing his mother. They definitely recaptured that with the flashback and the music. Definitely a good table to screen moment. Also, it been asked twice what my profile pic is. It's a D&D creature called a grung. Short, poisonous frog men with a napoleon complex. First baddies my D&D party faced when we started playing 6 years ago.

#SundayRundown #LOVM I commented earlier that when adaptations stray too far from the source material they end up feeling like alternative timelines, this is what I was talking about. This particular series of events. Pike abandoning the Everlight, Kash dying, Percy dying, and even more at the end of this season things change. Ultimately it is their IP and they can fully do what they want with it, and I won't act like it's bad, it's obviously a very good show, I know a lot of fans were pretty unhappy with season 3, I just wish that in an effort to keep the show interesting Kash didn't have to die, this isn't just a CR thing, comparing it with other adaptations killing a fan favorite when they live in the original, I think the reaction would be negative.

One of these days I’ll catch up on the big dragon episodes of C1. I keep putting it off

Step B.

Spoilers for the Campaign: The reason why Kash was given a big moment in seeing his death with the Matron was because he DID NOT die in the campaign. He and Zahra lived happily ever after and had a daughter together. I think Travis stated that for the show they needed to up the danger and some characters had to reasonable die for Thordak fight to be a huge threat. Some fans were not happy since Kash was a fan favorite guest character.
