The best Bleach movie imo. They went off with the animation and loved the hell concept. You guys definitely gotta check out movies #2 and #3 eventually since you guys already seen the first movie.

Kayso

There was so much Lelouch in JYB's voice during that quote banishing Kokuto it was awesome.

Chris

We have not.

The Normies

Also the Zanpakto rebellion arc

Joel Sasmad

Did they react to Diamond Dust Rebellion or Fade to Black?

Kuro

Didn't expect a bleach movie, but it's very much welcomed πŸ‘ I hope you react to the others, not only because it's more anime movies, but I think it would be fun as we are reaching the end of reaction series. I personally like the 3rd the most Fade to Black and the 2nd Diamond Dust Rebellion the least, but I still think it is worth a watch.

Jackie Gibson

I like this movie, probably my second favourite one. The 3rd one is my personal favourite, used to watch it all the time lmao. Tbh you might as well watch the other 2 movies as well. You're already half way there! And Burn the Witch eventually, probably after you finish Cour 4, when that comes out.

Still need a reaction to the beach episode

To be fair, Rukia straight lied about the nature of soul society in the early episodes. It also aligns with Buddhism about as well as "European" ideas of afterlife, which is to say not well. It's just the human world but less developed except when it's not with no discernible reason as to why.

WATCH ALL THE BLEACH MOVIES

It was just late today. It is posted now though!

SUNDAY RUNDOWN! Lovely reaction beautiful people, lovely! Now some points: - The gates of hell were actually fully shown in the canon story already. Way back in the first episodes, when Ichigo slays this Hollow that you guys loved (the one who put the child's soul inside the body of a Parakeet). He went to hell for the evil actions he committed in his life, before he died. - Since it was introduced, it seems you guys have been coping with the fact that Soul Society is the equivalent of Heaven yet isn't perfect. I don't know if there is another realm that could count as Heaven, but so far Soul Society is the best we've got. I would recommend you try to see it less in a European "there is a perfect god and his perfect realm where all good people go to live in eternal joy" and more in a buddist sense. Soul Society is simply 'the least worst place to go to after you die'. I think if you look at it like this, you'll start to better consider how the peace of Soul Society is so militaristic and segregated. There is no god. Only people. - The music composer, Shiro Sagisu, also did the music for Evangelion. You must tell Chris this if he does not already know.

...so no 37 today?

It seems Navi forgot about Hell's introduction in the show. This time however, I'll forgive you for forgetting, since it happened literally at the beginning of the series and hasn't been mentioned again. πŸ˜‰ Do you recall Yuichi, the parakeet boy? His mother was stabbed to death by a deranged serial killer, who Yuichi caused to fall from a balcony and die. So evil was that man that he became a powerful hollow named Shrieker, and shoved the boys soul into that bird, tormenting him until Ichigo defeated him. (Shrieker was the one with the sonic tongue and all those exploding leeches.) After his defeat, the doors of Hell opened up behind him, and a giant sword stabbed him in the dick before dragging him away. To emphasize how long ago this happened...During the reaction, when Hell was introduced, MICKY said "Oh, we're totally going there." 🀣 Welp, he was right! Eventually. Episode 299 of the first series - which was the lead-in to this movie - was a callback to episode 5 where this happened. In 299, Shrieker returns from Hell in one of those snazzy jumpsuits the goons were wearing in this film. Rukia fights him again (now with her full powers), along with some..."help" from Kurumadani; the afro dude in charge of Karakura Town ever since Rukia was arrested. --- Now it seems you all need a refresher course on the Cycle Of Souls. I'll describe it very simply, just the basics: The world of "BLEACH" doesn't operate under a western concept of Heaven and Hell, but rather an eastern concept of reincarnation. A person dies in the human realm, they go to Soul Society, they live another life in Soul Society that is MUCH LONGER than their human life, but eventually, they die again, and get reincarnated back in the human realm. This is the cycle. If, for whatever reason, you become a wandering spirit, you are not moving through the cycle anymore, which is why a soul reaper needs to konsou you, sending you to Soul Society, thus putting you back in the cycle. Hollows have their OWN cycle. If a hollow dies without being purified, it goes to Hueco Mundo, where it lives for a time before returning to the human realm to feed once again. [EDIT: This is why "Kaien" ended up in Hueco Mundo. Rukia saved his soul by killing him, but that special hollow body that Aizen created - which absorbed Kaien's power and memories - went back to Hueco Mundo, where it was consumed by A-A-ron.] Purifying the hollow returns the soul it once was back to the Soul Society cycle...unless that soul committed sins so great in life that the soul is forever tainted and gets automatically taken to Hell, thus removed from all cycles. This thousands-of-years-old system, is why Quincies were seen as such a threat; because they bypass all cycles and just eliminate souls entirely; thus disrupting the balance.

React to the 2nd Bleach movie as well!

Doc Anime!

#sundayrundown in episode 299 this episode lead to the hell verse movie where rukia had to fight Shrieker (the villain in episode 5 of the og bleach) since he came back from hell. And the arrancar number 9 and 8 was being tortured in hell and at the end instead of to be continued it said coming soon the hell verse.

#SundayRundown MY ONLY COMMENT IS I WANNA ASK DID ANYONE, noticed the similarities Ishida used in this movie with his current abilities in TYBW? Because it seems like every reaction I saw including MrTommo didn't mention it? Or am I just deluded by myself. I'm sorry if I'm waffling. Anyways, this is a great movie even if it's just a filler. The representation of Hell is kinda neat . It also begs the question, does Kubo will represent a new Godlike character maybe Greek mythology like Hades guarding Hell same as he depicts the Royal Guards of Quincy as The Four Horsemen? The possibilities that he could do if he wishes to do Hell Arc man...

#SundayRundown Bleach Well, this is quite the surprise being earlier than expected, but a welcomed one to be sure. Foreshadowed since the very beginning with the hell butterfly that appeared with Rukia, and the the gates of Hell from EP 5.. This is the future plot of Bleach bringing it all back full circle. As for where it take place there’s no other place than obviously after Aizen’s defeat. Best OST soundtracks in all of anime even by Bleach standards and this just showcases why Bleach is the strongest in the Big3 with Full Powered Hollowfied Ichigo as a peak character design along with the beginning of this movie being Peak animation. Sidenote: Based on the production of Cour 4 and past dubbing processes, it should be releasing no earlier than next summer, the beginning of this fall (October) would be just about 40 weeks before that and since there’s 40 Eps, I think it would be ideal for you guys to start publicly posting TYBW on YouTube, since no matter what you guys will only do 1 episode per week.
