Our first look at the Cylons side of the coin and how their society functions. We get a glimpse into the fact they appear to be individuals who don’t automatically agree, much like humans. Any more in depth and I might get into spoilers, so I’ll wait until later episodes get into it further. The “Skin Job” nickname that we keep hearing humans use is a reference to the original Blade Runner movie. Skin Job was a slur towards the artificial human “replicants” that were used as slave labour(And oddly enough, Edward James “Adama” Olmos himself plays the cop who’s the go between between the police and Harrison Ford’s Blade Runner, picking him up at a noodle counter). Seeing replicants as less than human meant people could feel no guilt as they used them for basically slave labour.

i feel like roslin’s logic was so reductive right here y3ni so if the cylons decide they want earth then she wants to go nuke it?

Caprica 6 being haunted by Gaius may have been my favorite bit of writing in the show. This might even be my favorite episode actually (only one other one comes to mind off hand though so we'll see together) Also hate to say it, but in these circumstances I probably would have aborted Sharon's baby a long time ago, or even if it got to this point definitly would have had it killed.

Meh

Great reaction. Did u guys know the actress that plays Maya (the mom who takes Sharon’s baby) also plays Becca Premhedda in The 100.

I wanted the mother that adopted Hera to be like: "Why does this babys bellybutton look like a USB port?" Then Dr Cottle would be like: "That is actually a pretty normal thing when it comes to infants that were born too early" "If that's true, how come it charges my phone when I connect to it?" Anyway, this is one of my favorite episodes of the show. "BALTARS A CYLO-Wait, nevermind.."

Y'alls immediate reaction when imaginary Gaius showed up on screen was hilarious 😂 . But yea, the decision on how to deal with the baby is definitely a hard one. From their POV, the cylons are absolute enemies so they have to treat anything the cylons want as a probable threat to humanity.
