Fucked up thing is, the original head writer of the first 5 seasons and developer of the show Greg Daniels returned to the show for this season.

They are going somewhere with the story and you gotta remember theres a lot of characters and they each have a story.😂 it is disappointing how they did andy this last season because honestly he is my favorite character besides micheal and jim.

You could see it on everyone on the show, that they all know it's ending and it just seems they are playing out the clock. As much as i think season 8 is underrated, this season is very properly rated as it is the end and everyone knows it. There are some gems this season and Nelly seems to be really finding her stride but the highlights are few and far between this season.

2025-05-07 01:19:52 +0000 UTCI agree about the jim and pam thing being forced. I think the issue is that they’ve been portrayed as too perfect of a couple for too long. If there were stronger cracks or even just, them having had some more past conflicts, this wouldn’t feel so out of place. Has jim ever kept something from her in this manner in the past? They’ve always been portrayed as a couple with healthy communication.

I have rewatched this show numerous times and I do enjoy how mean he is to Nelly. The actress who plays Nelly is very talented and plays the character well. But oh my goodness her taking Andy’s job and general incompetence is something that has always irritated me to no end. So much so that it feels so obvious how hard they try to endear her to everyone in this season. Nelly hater for life. Michael Scott would have laughed her out of the building.
