This fight was an Anime exclusive only

Ain't no way yall thought Renji was doing more than Ichigo against Uryu. Uru was in his base form while Renji was using his bankai. Whereas Ichigo was in his base form while fighting Uryu after he transformed. Uru knew off gate he had to transform, and Ichigo not only geld back and intentionally avoided fatal blows while still in base form, whereas Uryu was going nearly all out while transformed.

Did it for me too, I just right click the video, click "copy video URL" and paste it and it just takes me straight to the youtube video

Guys i know we're normies here but yall really wondering why nobody tried to block the sniper fire when he literally showed us his shrift is the ability to shoot any target no matter what gets in the way. Literally has a piercing shot that penetrates everything til it reaches the target

Video won’t load no matter what. Logged in w Patreon but it’s indefinitely loading and no it’s not a wifi or browser issue

Renji top 5 strongest in the soul society but y’all not ready for that conversation

Alex M

This was one of the better loses for Renji. Bro put up a hell of a fight

Kayso

Uryu didn’t just use his base-volstandich on Senjumaru. He used his shrift too. We just don’t know how it works yet.

ChipHand_Z

Uryu vs Renji is one of the best fights in cour 3 and it wasn't in the manga. After this fight even though he lost, I put Renji on the level of the senior captains with the likes Shunsui, and Unohana. Also, that Sklavarei is such a hax move, because they are in the Royal Palace domain there is so much reishi that Uryu can spam his Vollstandig.

Xonok

I hope 🐧 shares this

Conflictor

Exactly, Yhwach’s Royal Guards have letters of C, D, M, and X. D was also recently promoted meaning they weren’t ranked high before.

Adan Guzman

Yes, Lille's shots are unblockable because they're not really "shots", there's no "bullet", so there's nothing to block. Not only that, the "shot" hits his target immediately. Whatever or whoever he deems as his target, that is what is getting hit - no ifs, buts or maybes. It's why when he shot Nimaiya in their fight, his "shot" stopped at Nimaiya and didn't continue on through him to hit Yhwach (like Nimaiya thought it would) and why like you said, another of his "shots" still hit Nimaiya despite two others attempting to block it - because both times his target was Nimaiya and Nimaiya only.

Uryu in the manga vs Uryu in the anime: https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Fms7u91lxvw9f1.jpeg

I'm just saying that sometimes Bleach looses some opportunities for great storytelling. A guy that you loath because he dissected your grandfather saves your ass in Hueco Mundo and you... make some jokes and go on? Because Mayuri is a cool character and Kubo doesn't want Uryu to kill him...? Missed opportunity to give him a revenge arc. He's finally strong enough to kill Mayuri and he goes after Renji...? Missed opportunity. Sometimes Bleach characters take decisions that make no sense to advance the plot or have a cool reveal. Take this as an example: The gang literally hangs out in heaven #soulsociety. All of them have lost close family members too soon. Not once, any of them has tried to look for them because... even if they were recent deaths and their souls are probably there and you have 100 Shinigami friends, the Soul Society is big... Right... Even the presence of Kugo in the Soul Society is a missed opportunity for him to point out: "Hey Shinigami captains, if I killed so many Shinigamis and I was so terrible and deserved death... why didn't I go to Hell?" And just like that, Kugo becomes much more interesting.

Everything you said is totally valid, but I have to disagree on your begining premise. When we first introduce Uryuu and learn about the Quincy extermination he says flat out he has no grudge for the extermination and if anything the Shinigami were right. His hate for them is purely for not helping his grand father. He doesn't learn about the experiments until Soul Society and didn't even know about the initial invasion of Soul Society (or even the existence of the surviving Quincies) until this arc. That being said I think if that is used as his motive then his presence and actions in Hueco Mundo, Fullbring and all filler arcs inbetween make no sense from a writing stand point. I agree with everything else.

Meh

Still the same issue as 2 weeks ago, logged in but says I have to pay.. just letting you know in case you can get it fixed for others, I can wait.

#Sunday Rundown I just want to say how much I appreciate the work the staff did to create such an astounding adaptation that tries its very best to capture what Kubo intended throughout this entire run of TYBW. The art style is peak this cour and I can’t wait for them to sauce up the last 13 episodes with almost half of it being anime original 🙏

ispeckz--

I hate the fact that Uryu doesn't point out the following as a reason to join the Quincys: They have almost been exterminated TWICE by the Soul Society. His own grandfather was tortured and dissected by Mayuri for f*cks sake (with no consequences 🙄) !! Then, the Quincys started a new war with the Soul Society before he joined them. So, even if he had sided with his friends, is he supposed to believe that all will be ok in the future and he'll be allowed to live and have kids, etc? Or will he have to watch his back for the rest of his life? Hundreds of Shinigami have been killed at this point and we have seen the Soul Society doing shitty things over and over. But sure... Uryu will get a free pass and be allowed to live and have Quincy kids because... why exactly? If you were in charge of the Soul Society, would you let him live? Because the smart thing would be to kill him and eliminate the threat forever. The Quincys cannot change the fact that they erase Hollows from existence or that they are targeted by them as humans with high Spirit Energy. What the hell are they supposed to do??? Also, nobody has pointed out that the world was naturally created in a certain way and the Soul King changed it with his power. And we just assume that change was good and changing it back is bad because... why exactly?? Eliminating death is bad because...? Is it ever gonna be explained?? The sad case in Uryu's case is that it doesn't even matter!! Even if the Quincys are wrong and he sides with the good guys, it's very likely that he and his descendants will just get killed in the future. Chris pointed out that Kenpachi would kill him without a second thought and we all know it's true. So why shouldn't Uryu do the same with shinigamis? It's kill or be killed here, morals aside. Final thought: It would be great if Uryu pointed out at Ichigo that his sisters are potential Quincys too. What wil happen to them in the future if someone in the Soul Society decides to kill them to eliminate a possible future threat or eveb get revenge for all the Shinigamis killed in the war? Let's hope they don't?

#sunday rundown “his letter is D he must be strong.” Just reminding you guys that the letter order doesn’t signify strength at all, it’s simply what letter their power starts with.

#Sundayrundown Sup Normies! No spoilers but Grimmjow can absolutely kill Ichigo. P.S. Piccolo killed Goku

Solebat

[Tidbits] - Grimmjow shows off a strange new ability, he can seemingly do a partial Resurrección which is something we’ve never seen an Arrancar do. - Many fans are missing this but for whatever reason, the Ending is reversed. As in the visuals appear in a reversed order (I have my speculations as to why, but It leans into spoiler territory so i’ll leave it be for now) - In Kluboutside we learn that the Schutzstaffel or Yhwach’s royal guard symbolizes different Era’s of war. Lille would be Present Warfare (Sniping), Gerard would be Medieval (Sword & Shield), Pernida could be Biological Warfare (Body Contortion), and Askin would be Chemical Warfare - Askin Naak Le Vaar has shown a particular pattern to how he fights, with both Mayuri and Tenjiro (0 Squad member) he attempts to goad enemies into chasing him, Mayuri was smart enough to call it out and ignore it, but here, much like Tenjiro, Grimmjow gives chase and Askin uses that to his advantage. It's interesting to see a character who has 0 shame in regards to how they approach battle, you can't even honestly call it a battle. - Renji sports a plethora of new abilities in the Anime-Only battle between he and Uryu. This is cool because many forget that Renji’s Bankai has always been an immature one, it’s supposed to take around 10 years to master, so it’s fun to see that on display. On the other hand Uryu’s new ability “Feder Swinger” is a great reminder of how scary a powerful Quincy can be, they have the power to truly dominate Reishi, which is the basic foundation of so many concepts in the Bleach world. - Sidenote: A reminder that even though Uryu has shown many impressive improvements, we’ve still yet to get an answer to what his Schrift is

Masked Void

#SundayRundown Bleach This was a fantastic episode, now the epic and frenetic battles begin and ain’t stopping anytime soon. Renji vs Uryu is completely anime original, this fight allowed us to see more of Renji’s new abilities and how strong Uryu has become. To put it into perspective; Renji only used 1 special attack to kill Mask, while with Uryu even his full arsenal wasn’t enough, even so he stayed dominant the majority of the fight and forced Uryu to go full power. Now Uryu only used his base Vollstandig to kill Senjumaru and other vague circumstances, while he needed to use his complete Vollstandig to defeat Renji. Still he displayed some powerful abilities like being able to steal spiritual pressure and disable his opponent. I commented this before but in my opinion only 5 characters are able to defeat full power Uryu, so all of his victories are pretty justified. And to remind you, his Shrift has not been revealed, he still hasn’t show his full power.

#sundayrundown Some important things to remember about Lily Baro's(sniper) shooting is that he doesn't shoot a projectile. He aims at a target, shoots, and then it hits. No in between, there's no travel distance or speed. and a second to remember is that there's no blocking his shots. He hits whatever his target is no matter what's between his muzzle and the target.

Anderson Lake(The Bleach)

#sundayrundown: since the fight with Uryu and Renji was anime original, I knew it had to end with Renji losing for plot reasons but even knowing that, I was still so happy for Renji for holding his own. He always gets clowned for losing fights but this one he really gave it his all and went down fighting hard.

Nickevans21

#SundayRundown #BLEACH "I think Kenny and Mayuri could make a good teamup." LOOOOOOOL! --- Good call with Renji being more prepared than others to deal with projectiles. Whenever people watch TYBW and talk about "Man, the soul reapers are TRASH! Why are they so weak?" They need to be reminded that A) It's peace time, and Soul Society has basically only had hollows to deal with for 1000 years. B) The Quincies have been training specifically to come in and slaughter them when they least expect it. C) Almost no one has experience fighting with/against Quincies, as they're "extinct". --- I saw a comment that was not only funny but actually makes sense. It was basically "Grimmjow is a cat. Of COURSE he would swat at a ball coming right at his face." 😹 --- LONG-ASS EDIT I forgot I was going to explain this. While the dub is great, they ignore a cool little language thing here. In the dub the fight ends with... RENJI: It'll take more than cheap tricks to stop my So-Oh! ISHIDA: Then how about this trick. Whereas in sub, it's... RENJI: It's not called So-Oh for nothing! ISHIDA: The two kings, eh? This is referencing the nature of Zabimaru. I KNOW y'all don't remember, but WAY back in the Soul Society arc, we see the spirit of Zabimaru manifested. It's a nue; basically a Japanese chimera, with the head of a monkey, the limbs of a tiger, the body of a tanuki, and a snake for a tail. Zabimaru is a simplified version. He's basically a giant striped baboon with a snake for a tail. The monkey is named Hihiou, and the snake is named Orochiou (of course). They are both sentient and speak independently of each other. Zabimaru translates to "Snake Tail", and when Renji released what he THOUGHT was his bankai, it became Hihiou Zabimaru (Baboon Snake Tail). His TRUE bankai, however, is So-Oh Zabimaru (Twin Kings Snake Tail). The two kings are Hihiou (the skeletal monkey arm) and Orochiou (the snake head that spits a sword). So Renji is basically saying "You depleted the power of one king, but not the other!"...at which point Ishida proceeds to obliterate the other king. Still cool though! 😛

Nabeshin

"Is Renji Dope!?" XD This fight is probably one of my favorite anime only additions/corrections made to TYBW

Bleach TYBW Episode 33- “Gate of the Sun” Keyword Page 1: Warwelt (“True World Castle”) ”The Quincy's new world castle. It was created by Yhwach, who took in the power of the Soul King, and summoned and reconstructed the cities and buildings of the ‘Invisible/Walled Empire’ as the Soul Shield Membrane that covered the Seireitei, atop and in place of the Soul King’s Palace. The castle retains traces of Yhwach’s former residence, the ‘Silver Castle’. According to Yhwach, True World Castle is ‘our nation’ and at the same time refers to a new ‘nation’ that will replace the name ‘The Invisible/Walled Empire’ that the Quincies have been calling themselves.” Episode 33 Keyword Page 2: Askin Nakk Le Varr “His Schrift (‘Holy Script/Letter’) ‘D’ which stands for and represents ‘The Death Dealing’ ability. When a specified substance is ingested, the ‘perfect lethal dose’ that leads to 100% death can be accurately calculated, and can freely increase or decrease the lethal dose, putting the enemy into a poisoned state of intoxication. Even substances that are not normally poisonous, such as blood, oxygen, and spirit particles, can become highly toxic to the body by adjusting the amount. By ingesting large amounts of a specified substance, Askin can manipulate the lethal dose, and by increasing it, gaining immunity to the substance. Its main technique is the ‘Poison Ball’ (‘Gift Ball’). This is a technique in which a ball containing the target substance is thrown at the opponent, corroding them with the ‘lethal dose’.”

Conflictor

#SundayRundown Bleach TYBW Much like Ep 30, this one was quite the surprise but a welcome one to be sure as this entire fight was not at all in the manga, while Ichigo vs Uryu was at least 2 panels that showed only a skirmish turned into half an Ep of an anime original fight line whereas this one is completely brand new (both being only about 2 chapters equivalent to NewGen anime pacing), making a more convincing case that Uyru has truly betrayed his friends. It looks like Uryu got his get back from Renji who laid him out back in Ep 16, seems like he never let that one go when he said ‘You are a Soul Reaper I despise’, now having him laid out, truly a profound callback. Renji could’ve ended him at least twice and while it seemed like he was dead seriously trying to do so apparently he was still subconsciously holding back, however despite that he was still at a disadvantage anyways considering their environment. It’s crazy Uryū really beat Senjumaru, Ichigo and Renji in just a day. Yhwach’s blood is haxxed like a Mf cause this insane. Also, all 3 fights are anime original, so they’re seriously cooking with this adaptation like no other giving him much needed development and power progression. Next Ep is the big 400th one of the series overall for the Mad MVP.

Conflictor

so the Vegeta would be whoever loses

Denickart

Renji and Uryu are having a battle to decide who’s the Vegeta to Ichigo’s Goku.

Adan Guzman

Okay, so a couple of things! Renji vs Uryu was completely anime original, this never happened in the manga. All the new techniques you saw Renji throw out are also anime original, they got really creative in this fight. On another note, and I'll need assist from penguin here, but one of the animators who worked on that fight is over 80 years old(born in 1942!). He's Tsuguyuki Kubo and he has been working in the industry for a ridiculous amount of time, with his earliest work dating back to the 60s and he's still going strong, it's insane. I've sent Penguin a tweet that went viral comparing his oldest footage to what he produced in this episode. Also, yes, there was literally nothing Renji could have done, Uryu is even more broken than Ichigo rn plot wise, he's won 3 fights already this season. Furthermore, you guys talked about how the soul reapers could have blocked Lille's shots, afraid that's impossible. Lille had confirmed that nothing can stop his reishi bullets from hitting his target after Kirinji and Hikifune tried to block it last season, it went through their shikai and almost killed Nimaiya. He's at a massive advantage in this area, he's just camping and picking people off. They can't even run that fast because the reishi density is too much for them, which was mentioned last episode. They're just lucky Lille didn't go for headshots. We've got several teams now around the welt and I cannot wait to see your reactions to what's coming up. I mean you basically spoiled one of them on a previous rundown, shout out to Shunsui 👀
