2:45 Twin Peaks? 🀌🀌

You got the right answer. Sharon hasn’t been updated since she met up with Helo.

Like John Williams, Bear McCreary is phenomenal at composing music that hits hard and is very memorable. Rana humming to "Allegro" made me laugh because I was doing the same thing in this rewatch.

You flashed the words "Twin Peaks" and I tried to go to normies.com and nothing showed up. I'm sad I can't figure out how to watch those reactions, but I'm happy that maybe you're doing them? I'm and aging gen x person, almost a boomer, so It's hard for me to figure out how to watch your stuff sometimes. Nevertheless, if you're reacting to Twin Peaks, I'm excited, although I may have to ask my younger coworker how to access it. I'm a little slow when it comes to tech things.

lol bsg writers/directors was trolling like crazy with sharon this season y3ni the fact this episode debunked the sharon’s a sleeper agent theory and instead of realizing they was wrong it just pushed everybody harder to the other side

jasmin

that's it –– their memories are the exact same memory... up to a point when their paths diverged

I loved that moment when Sharon double-crosses Dexter's dad.

Javi alias Hiei

She wasn't referring to that. But keeping it ambiguous was what the writers wanted

#Rundown I've always taken the "you ask why" as as simply an abandoned train of thought from the writers, like something from the earlier seasons of Lost where they were throwing things in without having a clear road map as to where the narrative was going. It might have been something the writers were planning to expand on, but non-spoilers, they don't. That kind of thing doesn't keep happening. The Cylons models do not have a hive mind. They do not have a shared conscious. They're machines. They can NOT just draw memories from across the ether. They have memories from one of three ways: - what they're programmed to have (Boomer's memory of her childhood that never happened, that was written and created) - what they experience (things that happen to them after they're online) - a combination of the two, meaning a download Boomer was on the Galactica. Sharon was on Caprica. Boomer has no knowledge of what happened on Caprica, Sharon none of what happened on Galactica after the initial attack on the colonies. It is NEVER concretely addressed, but given the world they've built, one has to deduce what happened to give them shared memories, and the best explanation is this: At some point before the miniseries, Boomer left the Galactica, probably on leave, and in sleeper mode - not knowing what she was doing - met up with other Cylons and all of the memories and experiences she's had since joining the Colonial Fleet were downloaded. The Cylons then discovered that Helo chose to stay on Caprica, and knowing of Boomer and Helo's history from those downloaded memories, where Boomer knew full well he was into her, chose to begin their 'maybe love + banging = Cylon baby' plan. The memories were then installed into new copy of that model (which is an Eight), and we likely saw the first day in the life of that copy, Sharon, in the first episode when she rescued Helo by killing that Six copy. That's why Sharon has these memories, says that being with Helo and Starbuck feels normal and familiar despite never being there - they're Boomer's memories that she had implanted. They are not telepathic. They don't have Bluetooth and stream their thoughts. I cannot stress this enough.

#SundayRundown "And you ask why?" One explanation is that line was a reference to Adama's speech at the end of the miniseries when he asks "why is humanity worth saving." I think Sharon has some memories of Galactica, because Boomer was a sleeper agent for 2 years but I think it's unclear how up to date Sharon's memories are of Boomer's time Galactica. If Sharon had all of Boomer's memories wouldn't she remember Cally shooting her? Because Sharon seemed surprised to find out Boomer on Galactica was dead.

One thing I do kinda wish they did in this episode was show them coming back from the temple. I get it for time constraints but it always kinda bothered me like "HOW THE HELL DID THEY GET OUT OF THERE?" XD Also they hit the point well enough without it but one not so important thing to remember is that Calli got 30 days in the brig for unlawful discharge of a weapon XD.

Is Sharon saying, "and you ask why" a writer's error? Because the dead body of 1st Sharon has been lying dead for a while... Does that mean all bodies of Cylons can record and transmit data long after they are dead?

#sundayrundown The portal from the Tomb of Athena to Earth is one of my favorite moments of the series, and made me realize how special this show actually was. I'm a huge sucker for mystical happenings in television, and the way this was executed was near-perfect. I only wish that they showed us the return to the tomb from the middle of the stone rings. I really enjoy the interactions between Doc Cottle and Baltar. "Nothing. Nothing. More Nothing." Then the subtle middle finger when Baltar fixes his glasses. I really hope that was done intentionally. Cottle and Baltar are two of the best 'comic relief' characters in this show for me. Cottle with his dark humor and sarcastic remarks and Baltar with his scared victim mentality and awkwardness. I wish we saw more interactions between them in the show. I can almost see them being a vaudeville comedy team. What a good episode with which to come back. Great character moments such as the reunion of the two groups. Adama's reaction to seeing first Roslin, Lee, and Starbuck, then his quite different reaction to seeing Sharon again. Something that should be noted, mentioned by Ron Moore in the commentary.
