2025-04-18 14:40:07 +0000 UTCGreat reaction. When I was at school, a while ago now to be fair!, it was the same with the ties and the uniform. As Chris said, you had to express your individuality through tweaking the uniform. Short fat ties were considered cool and you were considered a loser if you had a normal "long" tie. Also the girls would roll up their skirts at the top to make them shorter. If you went too far on either of these you'd draw the attention of teachers who would make you fix it. So it was a bit of a game to see what you could get away with. The song at the end is a cover by a choir of a Sting song called 'Fragile'.
