I prefer the dub. There are a lot of voices I prefer in dub and it's easier to read tone in English than in Japanese

When i first read the Manga yrs ago, the first thing was seeing Byakuya DIE lol THEN we get Rukia going all out, yet it took a NEWLY developed BANKAI to finally KILL As Nodt.. Rukia definitely earns a Captain title, at the VERY least lol

Big W to the goat Byakuya for being by Rukia's side and Rukia's reaction to Byakuya acknowledging her was so wholesome. Her bankai form looks so similar to her Zanpakuto spirit from the Zanpakuto Rebellion arc (the filler you guys skipped). @Penguin should show you guys a picture of all the captains & lieutenants Zanpakuto spirits one of these days on Sunday Rundown I wanna see your reactions on how they look. I think you seen a few of them so far from a prior sunday rundown if I recall. We know Renji is the monkey and snake. Also glad you guys checked out As Nodt's voice in sub, it's so much more menacing and creepier, coming from the biggest dub advocate but of course I'm not taking away from his dub voice because he did a great job. That scream was insane, and this is my first time hearing it too cause all of us watched this sub ofc as the cours were dropping. For the people who always trash dub and never give it its props show them As Nodt screaming lmao

2025-04-17 12:55:44 +0000 UTC[Tidbits] - Some content about Senjumaru's from 0 Squad (Gold Arms lady) was removed, it shows that she's the one who made the new clothes for Ichigo, Rukia, Renji, and Byakuya and they serve a purpose aside from just looking cool. - The Scale is a hint at what Jugram Haschwalths' ability is. Given what he said, Cang Du survived his 1st attack, which was fortunate, but then we saw the scale tilt. (Make of that what you will) - In the Manga, there exists a little more context to what As Nodt Fears. He exclaims: "My only fear is to be rebuked by His Majesty and have all of this Body taken from me" As we saw with the glimpses of his backstory, he was apparently always in a state close to death and that's a state that he never wants to return to. (Sidenote - We learn from Klub Outside Q&A #281 that the Schrifts that the Quincy have are based on traumas they experienced in life or something they lost during times of war) - Believe it or not, Some fans drew issues with or felt that Rukia's reaction to Byakuya was forced, but as we know Rukia for a long time had never really felt seen by Byakuya, and learning that she was adopted thanks to a dying wish and not her skills certainly wouldn't help sway those feelings, so having him acknowledge her is pretty dope. - As Nodt's Death brings up an interesting topic, Yhwach comes across as an even more sadistic ruler, he seems to take advantage of the Quincy who were looking for someone or something to save them, and he appears much like a false Messiah, promising them everything while actually seeking to take everything. - Kirinji from the 0 Squad is known for his speed and he believed that it would take a week, Ichigo saying it'll take only half a day is a nice little humble brag. (Sidenote 2: As Nodts obsession with Senbonzakura is interesting, I personally believe it's symbolic. As Nodt seemed to have been living a bedridden life, so his life was likely devoid of seeing beautiful things and he likely felt that life itself was not beautiful. Senbonzakura is just that, this beautiful tool that he can use to employ the same fear that he was forced to endure.) Sidenote 3: Speaking of Quincy deaths, a month or so ago Kubo actually revealed in QnA 733 that when Quincy die, they go to a place that is separate from the Soul Society. [Reposted]

2025-04-17 04:29:06 +0000 UTC#SundayRundown #bleach As nodt Debut was Halloween cour 1 episode 4 ,,,, squad members were screaming horrifically & now we now why it was to such extent ,,,, I’m a manga reader I thought they would make episode 5 , (when he put byakuya through the same treatment) the Halloween episode , but making it his debut the first moment on the screen hits harder long term rather than the following episode … with rukia , absolute zero is her ”is one of her SHikai abilities ,,,, absolute zero is actually universally impossible (as we know of) to happen naturally anywhere in our verse not even man made in labs …. Her Bankai automatically has to be a 5- 10x increase on top of an already impossible phenomena ab0 and looked good doing it ,,,,,one of the best episodes of the year came out same week as G5 and I ask you who did it better ,,,, but I like op too lol

2025-04-16 22:02:59 +0000 UTCthis episode 100% needs to be watched in SUB and with headphones. AS NODTS voice actor did such an amazing job, I haven't heard voice acting this amazing in YEARS. The sound direction also was phenomenal this episode. EDIT - I see you guys did catch a few snips of SUB at the end, fun fact - As Nodts voice actor in SUB is Inosuke from Demon Slayer :)

However, in case anyone doesn't realize they did some extra effect work with the sound design on this episode. When Äs Nödt appears, he brushes against her left hand. The first thing he says before he appears in front of her is designed to come out of the left speakers/headphones like he's whispering in her ear. Sets the scene to be unsettling from the very beginning.
