In the time off Liv was seducing Rhea’s boyfriend Dom Mysterio (Rey Mysterio’s son) and so when Rhea came back she was pissed and wanted revenge not only to get her title back from Liv but to brutalize her for tryna take her man . Liv was on her revenge tour at the time because Rhea actually injured her first so yeah that’s why this match happened . Their feud was great to start but quickly got stale and dragged on but this was def the highlight of the feud . Also for the custody commentary you will needa watch Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero ladder match at Summerslam 2005

2025-04-11 17:59:57 +0000 UTCSo we need to talk about "selling"... 🤣 Its worth knowing that everyone you see on screen (audience excluded) are in on the story and for the most part know the major moments in a match. While injuries and accidents do happen they are rare and treated very seriously. In this match the story was Rhea's shoulder 'injury' and effectively becomming the underdog to fight back from adversity. Her shoulder was never out of socket or seriously injured it was just the combo of Rhea's acting aka 'selling it', Liv targetting it, and the commentators calling it out, to create that narrative. Which you bought fully, which is why it works. :)

For Dom's history, WWE had a YouTube video titled "Dominik Mysterio's journey from kid to WWE's most hated superstar" you can watch. It's an hour long so the editor can cut out some parts to make it shorter but it's a really dope video to see. Up to 5M videos on YouTube
