#sundayrundown You guys are gaslighting Pat, lol. He's right about Bradley. He only cares for his wife. He described this in the show, saying she was the only thing he chose. Remember when he openly expressed his feelings for his wife to Riza?

Yall be right back?

Key thing to remember is that "Father" is running things in Central right now and ALL of the senior leaders know about Bradley, his wife, and Selim. It's more likely he was always intended to discard her at some point, and they have no reason to think Bradley himself would even bat an eye at the idea. That's why father said it was a pointless idea at the end of the last episode.

#sundayrundown I am the first time watcher here. Gluttony got murdered in a way that was over the top with flash bombs, and then I found out that Madame Christmas is actually Roy Mustang's mother. The episode really kicked off with Al making his unexpected return; he expelled a homunculus using flash bombs while his dad kept calling his name, only to end up getting captured again so Hohenheim could build a prison for Pride out of the Earth. Kimblee is back at it, doing his signature thing by taking out a bunch of Ishvalans, and even Pride managed to show a rare moment of tenderness about his mother's love. Then, in a twist I didn’t see coming, Greed goes off on his own to seize control of Central while most of the other homunculi are either dead, imprisoned, or reduced to worm form. Speaking of the monumental Promised Day, it feels like a true turning point after a long buildup and a watch spanning months. I’m predicting some major shifts: maybe a fresh new opening and closing theme next episode, and a Promised Day arc that stretches for at least ten episodes, possibly marking the final major chapter of the series. I believe we’re headed for some serious farewells, with characters like Father, Pride, Bradley, Kimblee, Fuery, Grumman, and Hohenheim possibly meeting their end. I also suspect Panda May might end up seriously injured, while Edward and Winry finally get together, and there could be a pivotal sacrifice involving Winry, too. Plus, I still think Al will be used as a host for the Philosopher’s Stone and that Greed might make the ultimate sacrifice to stop that, paving the way for a final showdown where good prevails. By the time the final moments of the episode roll around, the stakes have never felt higher. I was completely caught up in the explosive confrontations and raw emotional moments that highlighted the characters’ resilience and vulnerability. Every shifting alliance and meaningful decision underscored the series’ profound themes of sacrifice, hope, and destiny. For me, the Promised Day isn’t just a narrative pivot—it’s the culmination of everything that makes Fullmetal Alchemist unforgettable, setting the stage for an explosive finale that will define its legacy as one of the most remarkable anime sagas ever.
