SUNDAYRUNDOWN my god does Jeffrey dean morgan have a hell of a voice, I can’t believe people were upset with his performance. He brought a whole new life to the character, that monologue gave me chills and so many other moments just hit different. Like when he called eve kitten I had to pause for a second, thinking did that man really just so that as I see Connie in a whole new light.

I love Conquest as a villain, he was like an evil Kenpachi. Too bad he didn't get a fair fight.

That lonely monologue wasn't in the comic right? don't remember it, it was a good addition though

#SundayRundown Mark is right when he replied to his mothers wanting to have kept him away from the superhero life. If the Mark we know didn’t have the life he has then he could have ended up like any of the alternate Marks that showed up. He is the one good Mark who has been defying all situations that would have made him turn evil.

#SundayRundown Everything about this finale was amazing. From the noticeable increase in animation, to JDM's voice of Conquest, to the added monologue Conquest gave at the end to Mark. When Kirkman described the show as 'Invincible's Second Draft' I just figured he'd he's trim down some minor stuff here or there. Instead he's expanding what he wants, such as including more Battle Beast, and even is giving us a brand new plot line original to the show next season. Given that we've now had 2 instances of Mark being 'Train'd' by a Viltrumite, maybe Mark will finally have a chance to do it to someone, given how that move seems to be preinstalled in Viltrumites. Now that all that's been said, let me leave you with the one thing fans are angry about with the episode: IGN rated the episode as a 4 out of 10. That's basically it. It was so goof, giving it a trash score actively pisses people off.

Just to clarify that adrenaline thing is a fan theory. It’s never stated at all in the comics except for one time where it was only talked about as a general explanation (in that it could be used for any Viltrumite). Not a specific explanation for Mark.

#SundayRundown This is officially the halfway point of Invincible, covering up to issue 65 of the 144 issue run. I know that a lot of people thought Mark wasn't going all out in this fight from the get go but he honestly was, Conquest was just THAT big of a powerhouse, he's one of the strongest Viltrumites around and is even stronger than Nolan. And I understand the frustration with Eve's powers but considering that she needs to come up with ideas on the fly and has to do a lot of mental gymnastics to figure out the composition of stuff I get why she doesn't just clean house every time.

Essay time. Because fuck it, it’s the season finale, and I’m cutting loose 😜: Jeffrey Dean Morgan killed it as Conquest. Perfectly captured the pure animalistic savagery and violent ecstasy of the character. He’s a rabid dog without a leash. I loved the additional touches of the blood bubble heart and Conquest’s “lonely” monologue. It paints the picture that Conquest’s love of fighting is how he has coped with the lack of connection. His fights verge on passion because to him the only way he can really connect with others is through violence. The Viltrum Empire pressure strength above all else, and no excuse for vulnerability. But that unattended vulnerability has made them emotionally weaker. We saw Nolan reach his breaking point when his life as a human conflicted with his life as a Viltrumite. Remember when he saw all the dead Thraxans and couldn’t handle it to the point where he asks if feeling all that pain was truly better than burying it as a Viltrumite. Really shows that there is more complexities to these people who have been bred into being living weapons. Through this we can also see the parallel of Mark facing similar problems with his multiversal counterparts. The theme there is if Mark can resist his multiversal fate of becoming just another Mark. Just like his father. Just another Viltrumite. Essentially, the entire story is thematically structured around empathy and compassion versus the cold, dehumanizing force of empire. And all of it is filtered through brutally exciting, heart pumping superhero action. Steven Yeun really brought his A game as you could feel just how enraged and desperate Mark became. Glenn definitely got his lick back on Negan. Such a well done finale that adds so much to the series.

#SundayRundown Conquest reveals a lot about the viltrum culture. There's no connection or love, even in life-or-death fights they retain that stoic composure. Strength and personal power are all that matter. They are all powerful gods but they fly around the universe entirely alone, craving connection, unable to even be with others of their kind. The last time a group of more than 3 viltrumites just had a chill hangout, humans were being hunted by dinosaurs. Their brains literally don't have adrenaline, so anger actually does nothing for them. Human/Viltrumite hybrids are a PROBLEM. When Mark gets pushed into that life or death state, he's able to go toe-to-toe with warriors who have thousands of years of experience on him.

#SundayRundown I've been waiting for this since day one. This is where the prologue ends and the real story starts. Season 4 is going to be amazing, non-readers have no clue what's in store for them.

Wow today is an amazing day, thank you!!!
