Punisher ain't gonna kill another hero that would make no sense like he wouldn't do that to Spiderman. and Speaking of SPiderman I'm glad they acknowledged him and I like that Fisk is wanting to outlaw vigilante's cause this is what should of happened right after Civil war with the Sokovia Accords cause the movies pretty much just ignored everything to do with it like Spiderman should be wanted since he never signed them to begin with Tony just brought him in and that was it

#SundayRundown To explain how the cop had time to follow Cherry, the court proceedings did not happen over the course of one day. Matt is not even wearing the same suit. Just got to pay attention a bit more to details.

Big Time Knights

#SundayRundown The White Tiger is dead. I honestly think its impossible to truly understand what Hector Ayala, the White Tiger, meant to the community if you aren't a part of it so let me share what I can. Note most of what I'm about to tell you is mostly second hand since I'm young enough that when I looked up superheroes that look and sound like me he was one of a (thankfully) large list. Hector Ayala was the first Latin American main character in American comics. There literally wasn't anybody like him. Then all of a sudden on the pages of Deadly Hands of Kung Fu(basically Marvel's vehicle for martial arts characters like Iron Fist and Shang-Chi who at the time didn't have their own book) there was this suave sexy latin guy who looked like us, talked like us. His creation and existence has literally been the focus of several sociology studies. Unfortunately despite his prominence socially Hector as White Tiger never really took off sales wise. After Deadly Hands of Kung Fu wrapped up he then went on to be a recurring supporting cast in Spider-Man before eventually fading off in the early 80's never to be mentioned again except in passing by latino fans... That is until Brian Michael Bendis took over Daredevil and wrote 'The Trial of the Century' which is adapted, partially, in the story you just watched. In it Hector Ayala is accused of murdering a cop and it is a big deal. Hector had friends, serious friends in the street level heroes and you have Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and others testifying for him. And in the comics he doesn't get acquitted. White Tiger is sentenced for murder and his death, because he still dies, is him desperately trying to escape custody because he knows a superhero won't make it on the inside and being shot by the police. In every universe White Tiger doesn't end well.

To clarify the reshoot thing iirc it goes like this, they shot up to ep 6, then fiege didn't like it and they binned a lot of it. Then they brought back foggy karen, dex and MY DARLING VANESSA, she had been recast, so ep 1 and most of 2 was entirely reshot, then eps 3-6 have multiple reshoots worked in with what they originally filmed. Every time you get a scene with MY DARLING VANNESA its a reshoot. Eps 7-9 are all from the new shoot. Thats my understanding anyway.

So a couple points of clarification: 1. The cop was never on trial Matts side was the defense in the case of the murder of the cop hit by a train the punisher cops were so hell bent on not letting nicky testify because they knew if he did they would then after this case be investigated, 2. The writers of this show stated they aren't getting rid of the things that happened in the netflix show they just are doing what the comics do where past events still happened but they aren't the focus going forward

#SundayRundown It's important to note while this season feels different. Let's not glaze the original Netflix show. Every season has a different show runner and actually do feel different from each other. With season one feeling the most grimey and drags in the middle. Season 2 had the showrunners that did Defenders for better or worse. Which why that season feels like two shows stitched together. Season 3 had a showrunner that was the most familiar with traditional tv, which probably why it's the best put together season and the one that had the most artistically shot scenes. Also the White Tiger Amulet just makes you strong, not bullet proof. His story comes from a 2000s run of Daredevil. Where he prevents a crime but is blamed for causing it. He's found guilty, flees the courtroom and is gunned down by cops. P.S. Fisk has a whole arc in Echo that fills in the gaps of why he's how he is now. She basically mind fucks him and forces therapy down his throat him. They never say why he's not in jail. But we can probably just pick any of the global terrors since before the snap and say "probably this mind shattering event made legal appeals a bit easier. "

I remember seeing some police departments within the US paint the Punisher logos on their publicly paid for police vehicles.

Frank Castle HATES corrupt cops. It's going to be fun seeing him take his vengeance out on those corrupt cops who co-opted his symbol in this series. Really glad the writers are addressing a very real-world problem that John Bernthal has been a bit vocal on. IRL, the Punisher has been co-opted by hate groups, the police, and military so much that Marvel comics decided to change the Punisher symbol.

Chaos T

I dont see how Frank would ever do this like he does the same thing as Hector did with guns instead of some amulet. But he will go after the crooked cops that misuse his symbol for their BS. This definitely references when some rogue cops displayed the Punisher logo on their stuff irl a while back.

thank you for switching this to a couch reaction
