2025-02-28 03:05:08 +0000 UTCBorn Again was an amazing story. Back in Frank Miller’s prime. The man redefined Daredevil, and writers are still coloring within the lines that Miller set. Although I will say Mark Waid certainly paved his own path with a more upbeat take that offers a nice contrast to the usual dark fare. I think Brian Michael Bendis’s run is arguably the best take on Daredevil. Any DD fan knows that the quintessential stories are Miller and Bendis written.

2025-02-28 01:06:55 +0000 UTC#SundayRundown So this season was mostly based off a Daredevil comic call "Born Again" (Ironic since the continuation is called Born Again) It's very accurate to the source material but I'd like to list some differences. Karen tries becoming an actress but ends up doing low rent porn in Mexico and becomes addicted to heroin. When she runs out of money for drugs she sells out Matt's identity to Fisk. She eventually comes back to New York to get Matt's forgiveness and protection from Fisk who's trying to kill anyone who knows Matt's secret and when they meet Matt forgives her instantly. Instead of Bullseye wearing Matts outfit it's a guy named "Nuke" who showed up in Jessica Jones season 1 as Trish's cop boyfriend. Matt's girlfriend breaks up with him and when Foggy tries to help he sleeps with her behind Matts back, also Foggy defends Matt in court for fake witness tampering charges so Fisk sees it and hires Foggy to work for him as an FU to Matt. The book ends not with Fisk in jail but he has lost most everything because he kept spending all of his money trying to screw over Matt. So all of his legit and illegitimate businesses and government connections have been shut down from the press because of how sloppy he's been. Also multiple times in the book his business partners tell him to stop and focus on making profits go up, and every time he's told that he either kills or maims that person.
