#SundayRundown The Bear
In the post-discussion, you mentioned that the crew seems headed towards burnout. I think you're right. Other restaurants of similar caliber can function at the capacity they do because they hire people experienced in fine dining. The only people with any experience working at fine-dining restaurants are Richie, Carmy, and Syd. It feels like Carmy is trying to win a world championship with an intramural league.
Jimmy's speech about being "the university" to support Carmy resonated with me. I view Carmy as an artist, and many people have a misconceived notion that being an artist means being in pain. I think Carmy suffers from this same misbelief. While art can come from pain, art can also come from the freedom of being supported and loved. There is freedom in knowing that you have a team behind you even if you fail, and I think because Carmy was stuck in the freezer, he never got to experience the teamwork that brought the night together. He never saw "the university" that Jimmy ultimately envisioned for him.
Since there are many comments about The Bear, I felt inclined to write a longer one. It would be cool if you tried to recreate a recipe from one of the seasons. It would also be cool to see the normies try to recreate recipes from other shows you watch. If you ever decide to do a food-based show again, I would love for you guys to watch Dungeon Meshi.

#Sunday rundown - I know you guys don't typically react to many UK centric shows, but you really should consider Brassic!
It has one of the best Pilot episodes of all time: 'Your Pony's a cunt' - 'Vinnie finds his plans unravelling when a car theft goes awry, while his attempt to steal a tiny horse for a xenophobic farmer gets thwarted by a jar of chloroform and a pigeon called Nigel'.
It's a comedy drama where the main character Vinnie suffers from bipolar, so it has loads of laughs and crazy antics, but also has a lot of heart. Even if you just watch the pilot, I guarantee you won't be disappointed!
(As always, enjoying the reactions you all do & I know you get a million requests so no hate either way)

#SundayRundown #Office You kinda danced around it in the outro, but yeah the main issue with the later seasons is that every "romantic" subplot is an unfunny slog of mediocrity that goes nowhere

Hope they read this because it provides them a little more context on how much an E rank regardless of their rank is still stronger than peak human physique.

Chris is right, this episode was missing something and it was Robert California. The EP was fine and Daryll's side story was funny along with Dwight's finding his team but Spader really brings such a different level cringe and its missing. The Tallahasse storyline is one of my favs arcs of the series and Florida Stanley is awesome.

#SundayRundown Solo Leveling to give some context to how strong Hunters are Jinwoo as possibly the weakest Hunter of all time his physical abilities are still at Olympic gold metalist in speed and strength as an E rank so him running for 4 hours makes a little more sense with that context. Additionally each rank is multiplicative in power so 1 D Rank could take on 10 E ranks at once and a C rank could take on a squad of Ds eta. So yeah the higher Ranks are literally super heroes while S ranks are basically walking nukes.

#SundayRundown Time for some Jinwoo upping his stats. Rana is relatable because i also said that fatigue removal should be real. You guys should be patient for Jinwoo becoming better because personally i like him struggling and taking one step at a time because that is just supremely relatable. Btw Guys do read Noblesse manhwa. It is pretty solid. Ah and one more thing. Rana said workout is not too much. I find it a lot. Is she really good at workout?

I'm fairly certain Carmy was looking at the funeral card he got for his brother's funeral from the flashback in episode 3x1.
This episode was very heavy, and also beautifully shot. And then how we're being thrown into the mind of Carmy by all these 1 frame flashes of "reviews" and then flashbacks of his time in other restaurants.
Imma just jump into it because I know yall are done with The Bear. Grant Achatz is one of my culinary heroes and I would have totally been Will Poulter asking him all these questions and being super cringe.
Also, I think Carmy is based in part by Grant because he also got started at Charlie Trotter's who treated him like shit (think Joel McHale). And then he went to The French Laundry, during which he got sent abroad to Spain to work at El Bulli, to many is the best restaurant that has ever been. Parallel this with Carmy going to Copenhagen to work at Noma, which was ranked #1 for many years. Grant is also based in Chicago and runs the 3-star restaurant Alinea.
Interesting thing about Grant is very early in his career, he was diagnosed with stage 4 carcinoma of the mouth. During the course of his treatment he lost all taste and smell and was dubbed "The chef that couldn't taste". His speech was affected and he kinda speaks with a permanent slur. He's been looking unusually thin lately so I hope he's okay.
He named one of his sons after Thomas Keller, his mentor and owner of The French Laundry.
