Hell now that vax and Cassandra are vampire charmed throw them in the soup too, make it real complicated and let the jealousy flavor flow.

#SundayRundown Grog was clutch with the acid because *ahem, 🤓 In Dnd Lore: Goliaths, or Half-Giants, have literally stronger bodies than other people. In dnd they can literally turn their skin to stone to just shrug off damage. And Barbarians have the most health out of any class. He, I think near the middle of the campaign… so second season and third of the show, he had like hundreds of health. Multiple hundreds. A knife does at max 4 😂

#SundayRundown Action heavy episode of Vox Machina but it’s fun that you got to see a fraction of Scanlan/Sam Riegel’s power as he rocked out. The music gets even better on season 2. This episode also is a good place to reflect on how far Critical Role’s production has come. “Race to the Ziggaraut” is actually episode 34 of 115 in the Campaign 1; as Suraj is seeing, Matt is illustrating the game with essentially hand drawn maps on random paper. The players have unpainted miniatures and there is one top-down camera. The show is filmed a back room at the Geek & Sundry studios with minimal A/V support. In this scenario of an acid trap in a room, i think Matt and the players had a hard time getting on the same page understand the layout and solutions. They made it work, but it was clunky. Now they have their own studio, i think the third version of a specially handbuilt table, million cameras and mics, maps made of custom made 3D printed terrain pieces with lighting and smoke effects, and hand painted miniatures for every character and almost every bad guy (with mass produced versions available for sale). The players can see and take advantage of the environment to great creative and comedic effect. Its lightyears of difference and makes for a beautiful viewing experience… …but 99% of D&D games arent played with a million viewers. This is a good time to remember it’s about imagination and a shared experience, and you can have just as much fun with graph paper as a map and random trinkets as the characters. For anyone thats nervous about joining a game, bring cookies for the table and a little courage, and you’ll have a good time.

But serious, this was one of the many scenes that made me think again about how much of the outties full memories, knowledge and personalities the innies have access to. How do you know how to dance, what type of music they like, what's jazz for that matter??

#SundayRundown (Vox Machina) - Fun detail: You see percy being tortured with a meat hook. Ripley takes the hook to his his neck in his flashback. Way back in episode 3 when Percy was having a nightmare, he wakes up clutching the side of his neck. Cassandra is an interesting case. She is a product of a combination of magical mind control and Stockholm syndrome. What's crazy is the reason the Briarwoods killed the parents and kept the kids alive was because they wanted what was below whitestone. They reasoned that the children would be the ones to know about any secret nooks, crannies, or hidey holes that might lead down below. So they were kept alive solely to be tortured for information.
