It started in the 80s, and since then, there's been about a thousand (yes, literal thousand) novels written featuring many different factions, aliens, demons, etc. This short barely scratched the surface of the setting - consider that what these characters just went through is so commonplace in this universe that their actions are effectively irrelevant and unnoticed by anyone of importance. Very much looking forward to what Henry Cavill manages to bring to the table.

It's important to know that there are no good guys in warhammer 40k, just levels of bad. The metal things in their faces are service studs, each stud represents 50 or 100 years. For Titus and Metaurus they have 4 studs so they have served for 400 years I think. Space marines can live a long time. As you guys mentioned Henry Cavill plays the table top game, I think his army are the "Custodes." The "Custodes" are the bodyguards of the god emperor of mankind. If Space Marines are super soldiers, than the "Custodes" are super super soldiers. Both Space Marines and Custodes serve the emperor. If you wish to go deeper into the lore I'd recommend the video by streamer/youtuber Bricky titled "Every single Warhammer 40k (WH40k) Faction Explained. It's long, but answers a lot of questions, and has like 10 million views so far.

My favorite game series of all time gets some love and is the second-best (my favorite) episode of this series so far. It's the series that kind of started that Arena shooter announcer speak. "Double-kill, Killing Spree, Multikill, First Blood!"
