Chapter 12 This immortal shall not spare your worthless lives

“Ten thousand dollars? Are you sure you haven't been on drugs or something?”

Jenny looked at him in concern while he was withdrawing money from the ATM.

He had told her that he got a lot of money from helping Emma with her business.

She knew who Emma Frost was. She was from a very rich family. She must have a lot of money that ten grand just looked like her pocket money.

But she still doubted she would give her little brother that much money.

‘She isn’t the kind to be someone's sugar mommy.’

That's what she thought when she didn’t know what happened to them. If she saw that she almost drools when she saw her little body packs.

She wouldn’t think like this.

And when she saw that he actually withdrew ten grand from the ATM.

She was shocked that she couldn’t even say a single word.

The savings she had all of her life was just a little bit over two grand but she just witnessed her little brother withdraw ten grand from the ATM.

That’s five times the amount she had her entire life!

“Don’t be too emotional, Sis. This amount is far from enough for what we need in the future.”

“What do you mean! This is ten grand you are talking about! It’s not the amount we could make easily even if we were adults and you tell me that it won’t be enough?”

Jenny didn’t know what he was going to do in the future.

Jake smirked and didn’t say anything.

He gave her two grand and told her to do whatever she liked with it.

“I am going to Chinatown a bit. I want to buy something in the Chinese herb store. Don’t wait for me and go home. I will go back home by myself.”

Jenny couldn’t speak to him in time before he already took a taxi to Chinatown.

Chinatown wasn’t far away from their home but she heard many bad rumors about that place.

She hoped that Jake would not meet bad people there. She shook her head and stopped thinking about what she was afraid of.

Jenny looked at the money in her hand.

“I think having a good meal once in a while is not that bad.”

She won’t use all of it and will likely keep it as an emergency fund. Who knew what would happen in the world they lived in.

“Hopefully not the alien invasion. I hate those kinds of scenarios.”

Chinatown, It was quite lively in the evening. Many stores opened to sell things people couldn’t find elsewhere.

Jake arrived at Chinatown and he went straight to the market.

The market was quite messy but still on a manageable level.

He went toward where he could feel Profound energy gathered.

“This place is selling good stuff. Let's see what is in there.”

Jake went inside the Old Chinese Herb Store.

He could smell medicinal scent all over the place. And what took away his attention was a bone of some kind of animal that was hung on the store wall like some kind of decoration.

‘That's a dragon bone! How in the nine heavens it is here in this world!’

Dragon was a beast of heaven. Its body contained a lot of heavenly Dao.

Just a single piece of it could cause a great war in the mortal realm.

And to think it had become some kind of decoration in the Chinese Herb Store.

“Owner, how much do you want for you to be willing to part with that bone?”

The owner was just an old man with less than five years of his life span left. He looked at him and smiled.

“If you want it just take it. I don’t want any money. But do you play Go?”

He must be quite lonely to ask a stranger to play a game of Go with him.

“I am the best. I can teach you some of my moves in return for the bone.”

The old man was happy to hear that and he invited him to play Go with him.

While Jake and the old man play Go together.

Outside of the store, a group of people wearing ninja outfits were lurking around. They tried to come inside the old man store but they couldn’t.

“Why can’t I go inside? I can feel that there is a wall I can’t see in front of me.”

One of the ninjas said to his friends.

They then tried to break the invisible wall but nothing could be done to it.

“What should we do? Madame Gao will kill us all if we can't get our hand on the substance.”

They knew what would become of them if they anger Madame Gao, The leader of the Hand.

They would be killed in the most painful way.

“Move, I will use my Qi to break it open.”

The leader had to make a move personally. He gathered so much Qi in his hand before smacking it on the invisible wall. The wall broke like glass.

“It’s not that hard.”

The leader of the ninjas felt cocky and he tried to walk inside. But he was met with another wall. He broke it again. And then he met another wall.

He broke it again and again.

He could only move about five centimeters per wall. And his Qi was not enough to break all of the wall.

“F*ck! Someone must be playing a trick on me!”

The leader gritted his teeth. He will rest for a bit before he tries to destroy the wall again.

But before he could rest. He heard his subordinate screaming. They disappeared one by one.

“What happen?!”

The leader couldn’t see it clearly but he could tell that someone was moving at the speed faster than the eyes could see. And they attacked his subordinates swiftly and precisely.

“Stop this instant. Do you know who we are! We are the—”

“Not interested.”

The leader’s neck got twisted and died without having a chance to fight back.

Jake killed all of the ninjas and left no witness alive.

As for the old man. He gave him a lot of money to return to China. Where he could be with his relatives.

“Mere mortals there to convert things that this immortal set his eye upon.”

Jake went home with the bone of the dragon.

He felt very happy. To think that there was something like this in his world.

“Maybe there might be more dragon bones in this world. If I can get my hands on it more. My cultivation base would improve greatly and become even more stronger than before.”

Jake thought about when he was a nomad cultivator. It was very hard to set his foundation. His foundation was very poor but it could still bring him to the top.

If he were to have an extraordinary foundation. How much stronger would he become when he reached the pinnacle again.

Jake reached home and began to cook the dragon bone. Many cultivators would cry blood if they were to see him using the dragon bone as the ingredients for a soup.

“Huh, Do you think only alchemy could bring out the best of the material? Cooking is considered to be the art of god as well. Of course It could do the same as the alchemy does but it's more delicious!”

A certain immortal panda taught him that. And he very much agrees to it.

“Alchemy is disgusting. The taste is so bad that even my immortal soul trembles in fear.”

Jake shook his head and stopped thinking about the past.

The soup was finished after simmering for about two hours. His sister wasn’t home yet. She must have had a good time somewhere in the night market near their house.

“She is also a foodie like me. Unfortunately, I can’t let her taste this immortal soup just yet. Otherwise, she might explode because her body isn’t strong enough.”

Jake finished the soup and he felt hot over his body. Even with the first stage of the Great Way of Buddha almost couldn’t keep up with the dragon bone.

Jake began to cultivate and his strength increased significantly.

He broke through to the 1st stage of Nascent Profound Realm in a single breath!

He could be considered a super human at this point. His grip strength was about ten tons. He could crush stone into dust with his bare hand with this kind of strength.

“Now I feel a lot safer.”

With his cultivation base at the Nascent Profound Realm. He could use many Profound arts.

One of them was called Frozen Divine Arts and Purtargory Divine Arts.

These two techniques he gained from doing side quests for The Ice Phoenix and the Golden Crow.

They begged him to save the Heretic God and his daughter which he succeeded and become enemies with the other gods.

“What a nostalgic feeling. Beating those arrogant gods and demons when I was just a Divine Master. They must be very shocked.”

Jake laughed to himself. He wanted to do it again.

He had erased some of his memories in the past so he wouldn't go insane during a million years in the void… All alone.

So he didn’t remember how many times he went out his way to mess them up. They even called him the true evil.

He gladly took that name for himself.

“Why? It’s cool though.”

Jenny came back after him for about two hours. She brought many things. However, they were things that were necessary like tissue and soap.

“You haven’t bought anything for yourself? I still have more money with me, you know.”

Jake asked her and she just shrugged.

Her life wasn’t easy as she had to take care of everything in the house. She became a frugal person since the day they lost their parents.

“I know that but I really didn’t want anything.”

She lied through her teeth. Jake knew that she wanted many things but she was afraid that they wouldn't have enough money for the college.

She had been saving up money to give him a better life.

‘My dear sister, You are too good to me. I won’t ever let you down. But I have to somehow make you think of yourself more.’

Jake knew how to do that. And that was to make her see that he could take care of himself.
