Chapter 2 This immortal hates school

Memories of their childhood flooded back, reminding him of the strong bond they once shared. It was very comforting.

"You are freaking me out now. What the hell are you hugging me for?!"

*Smack!*

Yep, This was one of the feelings he yearns for. Even though he forgot about it, his body still remembers it. The smack brought back a rush of nostalgia, reminding Jake of the playful banter they used to have as kids. It was a reminder of the carefree and mischievous times they shared together.

"I just want to hug you, that's all. You don't need to hit me that hard!"

Jake winced as he rubbed his head, feeling a mix of pain and amusement. He couldn't help but smile, realizing that even after all these years, his dynamic with her hadn't changed much.

"You are weird, but I should say that it was normal for you to be weird."

His sister sighed and told him that she would make him breakfast before they went to school together.

"School... Not a sect... I am really back home."

Jake's heart swelled with a sense of relief and belonging. He had missed the familiarity of their childhood routine and the comfort of being in their shared space. As they sat down for breakfast, he couldn't help but feel grateful for the simplicity and normalcy that being back home brought.

"Jenny, I have something very important to tell you."

Jenny looked up from her plate, curious and slightly concerned. She could sense the seriousness in Jake's voice and knew that whatever he had to say must be significant. As she waited for him to continue, a mix of anticipation and worry filled the air between them.

"I don't want to go to school!"

Even millions of years of not having to go to school could change that for him. The school was a place to torture people. It wasn't different from floating idly in the void!

"You!"

Jenny thought it was something serious, but to think that he just didn't want to go to school and wanted to play games! She sat up from her seat and then smacked his head hard.

"You need to take your education seriously."

She scolded, her frustration evident in her voice.

"Going to school is important for your future, and it's not something to be taken lightly."

Jake then realized that something or someone was missing in their lives. And that was their parents. She was worried that he wouldn't be able to live for himself if he continued to play games and didn't pay attention to education.

She couldn't take care of him forever , and he needed to start taking responsibility for his own future. It was time for him to step up and prioritize his education before it was too late.

Jake smiled. He missed someone who truly cared for him.

The martial world that he was isekai'ed into was full of liars and manipulators. He knew that his sister's concern for his well-being was genuine. He realized that he needed to find a balance between his passion for gaming, cultivating, and education in order to succeed in both aspects.

"I'll listen to you, elder sister."

"Elder sister?"

Jenny sighed, then shook her head. She thought that he might be addicted to those eastern-themed games, so he decided to address her as "elder sister" in order to play along with his fantasy.

The two shared breakfast in harmony after that. And it was time to go to school.

"That's it. I really hate school."

Jenny rolled her eyes at his comment, knowing that he often complained about school. Despite his dislike for it, she knew that education was important for his future success. She hoped that one day he would realize the value of balancing his passions with his studies.

The two went to school by bus. While they were on the bus. Jake contemplates which cultivation art he should use first. He had recently (two thousand years ago) discovered many new cultivation arts and was eager to explore different techniques.

As he pondered his options, Jenny admired his enthusiasm for learning, even if it wasn't related to their school curriculum. She wondered what book he had read.

Jake couldn't use cultivation-based techniques, but with soul arts, he could still use them easily. One of them, when mastered, could create subspace in the soul to store many things. His soul space was so big that he could keep the hundred Pacific Oceans inside.

He brought out a cultivation book that was written in ancient text. No one could read it, not even the high level cultivator.

"I think I am going to practice this art."

Jake smiled and chose the Great Way Of Buddha. Normal humans cannot cultivate The Great Way of the Buddha without exploding since it puts a heavy strain on their bodies.

However, Jake was confident in his ability to handle the immense power and strain. He had always possessed an extraordinary level of resilience and determination, traits that set him apart from others.

The bus had come to a stop, And It was time for him to go to school.

"Is that really our school?"

Jake might not remember much, but he was absolutely sure that this wasn't his school.

Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters

"What are you doing? We arrived at school."

Jenny spoke to the dazed Jake. He took a couple of seconds before getting off the bus with her. As they stepped off the bus, Jake couldn't shake the feeling of unease. He wondered if he had somehow ended up in the wrong world and this was the parallel one, or if there had been some kind of mix-up.

"Jake, Let's go already."

Jenny held his hand, then brought him inside the school. She would never allow him to skip class and go play games somewhere.

As they walked through the school corridors, Jenny reminded Jake of their shared goals and the importance of education, encouraging him to make the most of their time at school.

"I know, I know, Jenny. I promise you I will study hard, okay?"

Jake reassured Jenny, to which she nodded in acceptance. She knew that he would never break his promises.

"Meet me after school at the usual place. Help me with the shopping today."

"Alright ma'am."

Jake replied, giving Jenny a playful salute. As the bell rang, they went their separate ways to attend their classes, both determined to make the most of their day at school.
