Hey everyone!

Hope your week is going great so far! Let's get into it.

0.2.24s-1 and Time

I'm pretty sure this is the longest we've gone without a snapshot and this is already supposed to be a longer overall patch cycle. I haven't been idle or anything just had much, much less time available in the day after work to work on the game then I previously anticipated.

The short of it is: I've been handed a lot of unexpected overtime at the new job (which I'm not even technically supposed to do due to budget reasons). Brought it up with the boss, whose been on vacation. They apologized and it seems sorted out now. The absence of overtime is one of the reasons I took this job in the first place as then I could still have some time in the day to work on Accursed. But eh, all should be good going forward.

Anyways, apologies for the longer than normal wait and I thank you for your continued support as we move past this speed bump!

As for the actually interesting news most of the work I've done since the last time has been focused on our bartering mini-game and some more ecchi-event variations for the barmaid mini-game. Basically, I want the first of that mini-event type that happens to be unique and have Emma react accordingly. This should help address some feedback we've have got regarding Emma's reactions to events in general.

The snapshot will drop once both of these are playable.

I've also been dealing with a weird FPS drop that I haven't been able to isolate yet as it only seems to happen in a testing environment. I never noticed it in prior patches so hit me up on the discord if you've had a similar issue in the current live patch.

0.2.24s-2 Plans

Our second snapshot will mostly deal with the major week 2 event. The one talked about by the duke on day 7. We'll also be cleaning up and adding continuations to Sophie's and Lorraine's quests.
Should be fun!

Pixel Art

I was able to get in contact with the pixel artist and some progress has been made here on our final four designs. I'll drop a preview below!

Once these are done we'll move to the combat sprites for Cross, Kazuma and Garland.

2D Art

As always Nut continues their work diligently our 2D art. The latest is a spicy new H-CG which you can currently view WIPs of on discord. You can also see the recently completed works here and on the discord.

We also have a potential new candidate for helping out with the 2D art.

Mapping

Mapping work has begun Onsen map. Nothing to show here quite yet.
I am excited to see the final product though!

Mr. Combat

Mr. Combat (his tentative name now lol) continues to crunch numbers and design skills. So far everything he's worked with has been spreadsheets and word docs but soon enough we'll begin implementation.

I also had a talk with him about joining the project overall and he is heavily contemplating it. He'd be in charge of game systems and potentially even coding. This isn't set in stone or anything but I think Accursed would improve a lot having him onboard. Fingers crossed!

I do think either way he'd still contribute to the project in some capacity for the long term.

Writing

While I did write some quests for Accursed I also took a small break from that and wrote some horror. Weird! Mrs. actually really liked it and well... maybe we'll see where that goes in the future. The focus will always be Accursed though!

I've also been playing around with the idea of bringing on someone to assist with writing. Namely the spicy scenes, I feel those are my weakest area. I have a few people in mind but nothing is set in stone yet. Obviously, this would also has to be within the project's budget.
