Hope you had a great Tuesday or are having a great Wednesday depending on your time zone!
Ours was a bit different. Mrs. MegaloDEV had to get an outpatient surgery done so I've been helping her recover in addition to bug testing the 0.1.23 update (No need to worry, no complications!).
As stated above, we are in the final testing phase here and it should release no later than this Friday PDT. I guess the "smaller update" ended up being a full-fat update!
One of the things I'm pretty happy about is the screen tinting is now working as it should. So each time of day looks unique. Although, I'm probably going to keep tweaking the morning tint in a future patch.
Cleaning up some of the inconsistent writing has has also been pretty cathartic. Such as Emma never actually being successful at retrieving her combat gear! (oops)
We've made some headway into 0.2.24's writing after finishing up the outlining at the end of last week. Namely the rescue op. Some older scenes have also gotten touched up in response to some recent feedback. You'll be able to see these in 0.1.23.
Nut is just about done with some new mini-CGs. One of which ended up getting a full background! Not much of a mini-CG anymore, haha. After that will be some additions to the barmaid job.
The priest and mayor join Lorraine and Seras for implementation in 0.1.23. Next up are four remaining characters: The Local. Friendly. Bartender: Caleb! And Kazuma, Lily and Sophie!
I've been successful in recruiting a friend to help further design and balance the game's combat into something special. It's kinda their thing, so I expect some great results. Mini-games might also be on the table too.
