But a man's mouth could be dangerous. And Xia Qingyue might fall into his trap. But who would have thought that she would hear something so absurb, like he came from a place called the realm of gods?
Chu Yueli couldn't help but come out to warn her disciple. Men couldn't be trusted, and she would use this chance to teach her a lesson that she should not be so easily charmed by a man's words.
But everything didn't go according to plan. The man that her disciple thought was god might actually possess some truth to his claims.
'The dreadful feeling of death. Was he really the god of death?'
Chu Yueli looked at the man who had stopped using his killing intent, and everything went back to normal. She couldn't deny the power and aura he exuded earlier.
She was at the 7th level of the Sky Profound Realm. She shouldn't feel so easily afraid with her frozen heart working.
Yang Chen didn't care about Chu Yueli at all. He spoke to Xia Qingyue.
"I won't do anything to her, but you have to understand that she started first."
Xia Qingyue nodded. It was indeed her master who started first. She knew that she had good intentions toward her, but she shouldn't have accused him before she understood everything.
She even said that the realm of gods wasn't real. It seemed like she might have to reconsider joining the Frozen Cloud Asgard.
It seemed like they might not know anything about the realm of gods.
Xia Qingyue wondered if joining the Frozen Cloud Asgard would truly provide her with the knowledge and guidance she needed.
"Should I join the Frozen Cloud Asgard, Husband?"
Xia Qingyue started calling him husband. And if he told her not to. She would not join the Frozen Cloud Asgard anymore. That was because the key that could lead her to the realm of gods was her husband.
Yang Chen was about to tell her to do as she pleased but Chu Yueli spoke first.
"You can't do that Qingyue, Master already taught you the Frozen Cloud Arts. If you don't want to join, Master has to destroy your cultivation!"
Xia Qingyue was hestitated, but with her cultivation talent. She knew that reaching the 10th level of the True Profound Realm wasn't hard. But she needed Yang Chen's confirmation first.
"You seem to be so proud of your suicidal technique. It wasn't that good, by the way. If it was a good technique, then your life span wouldn't be cut short like that. And what the hell is wrong with you people killing your hearts? You think that by doing that, you would get away from heaven's eyes? What a joke."
Yang Chen compared it to his Endless Resolve Restoration Scripture.
Chu Yueli looked at her disciple. She felt betrayed. Why did her disciple tell the outsider about their cultivation flaw?
"Huh, why are you blaming her? She didn't tell me anything. You have heard it all. You eavesdropping, Bimbo. And I will tell you that I can fix those flaws in your cultivation, but you have to make me angry. So I will not help you and your sect."
Yang Chen retorted, his voice laced with annoyance. He might feel sympathy for Xia Qingyue, but it didn't mean he had to be friendly with her master.
Just looking at her made him feel annoyed for some reason.
Chu Yueli's eyes widened in disbelief at his audacity. Never in her life has someone called her a bimbo, and she didn't even know what it meant, but she could tell that it was an insult!
Her face flushed with anger as she clenched her fists, ready to defend her honor. She couldn't let Yang Chen get away with insulting her like that. Her Frozen heart shattered by his words!
"You want to fight? You might be stronger in cultivation, but you will never win. I let you attack me with all you got then."
Yang Chen could control space with his godly power, so any attack from Chu Yueli would never reach him unless she could control space too.
Chu Yueli gritted her teeth. She looked at her disciple and could see that the symptom of her frozen cloud art had disappeared.
She realized that Yang Chen's words had some truth in them. And if she killed him, there might not be a chance like this again.
She took a deep breath and made a decision. Chu Yueli decided to temporarily put aside her anger. She knew that by sparing his life would benefit her sect. But she could not let him go
anymore when he knew about the flaw in their cultivations.
