Dev Diary #34
Added 2017-08-10 13:49:47 +0000 UTCHey guys,
Things have been slow on the dev front recently, due most in part to Crimson's situation changing. He's had to move house and currently his situation precludes him from working as much on CS as he'd like to. With several pull requests waiting for him to perform, Goldie and I have just been working on smaller things whilst we wait. Still, they're all things that need doing, but they don't make for entertaining updates.
I've been creating more adjective tables for the rest of the bodyparts and chipping away at more lore stuff. Goldie has been working on the bridge between Body and Director as much as she can before the pull request goes through, and that's coming along nicely. I've also been teaching myself Blender in an effort to understand and utilise 3D modelling for environment and game assets. Even though I plan to draw most of it in 2D, 3D techniques can expedite the process and supplement things in various ways, like modelling a castle in 3D and then painting over it, or creating weapons and items. Here's my very silly weapon from the D&D campaign I'm part of, based heavily on the Boom Hammer from Bloodborne but with wyvern horns stuck on it because why not. My first scratch made model, I don't think it's too shabby.
Hopefully more juicy stuff soon. Let's wish Crimson well during a pretty tough time so he can get back to working his programmatic wizardry for us.
