So we were planning on talking about what makes pixel art so endearing on the podcast tomorrow, but I finally was able to secure some guests for that topic and they can't come on until next Sunday (June 2nd). So we're looking for some topics to go over tomorrow. I was thinking about talking about the decline in Game of Thrones writing over the years, and have a lot to say on that topic, but if there is something else you'd like to hear us talk about feel free to make suggestions. Feel free to ignore this question if it doesn't interest you, or it isn't in keeping with the theme: Any thoughts, concerns, gripes, compliments regarding the new Star Trek Picard trailer? You all have talked about ST – TNG, in a positive light in the past. I think it is obvious, a decent ST show hasn’t been made in 25 years, but it is interesting that the new show will be taking place after Voyager, and is in the prime timeline… None of this reimagining business, or a retcon of history, or prequel crap. Also, it focuses on a single main character, and Picard of all people, which is different than the usual explore the galaxy type show… It has my interest, but my expectations are low.

2019-05-26 03:40:50 +0000 UTCMost of my criticisms are around the HBO show, rather than the books, as I haven't read them all. But the show was an easy 10/10 for me up to Season 3, afterwards, it was more like an 8 or an 8.5 for me personally, which is still quite good in the grand scheme of things on television. However, after they no longer had novels to guide them, good god. While I understand, certain people have had issues with the books, I have to suspect that George R.R. Martin will do a far better job, even if he pads the remaining books out... At least it'll be satisfying when it ends. I purposely left out specific details, as I'm curious to hear the podcast!
