Alternative movie plot: it’s been 4 years, Laurie has been hunting Michael by following unsolved murders in the surrounding area of haddonfield. Laurie connects a string of murders that fit Micheal M/O. She follows the clues till she figure out Michael is heading home for Halloween. In the years since Michael has become a crime icon (movies and docs about his crimes are mainstream, he is glorified as “the most prolific serial killers”) and is the popular costume this Halloween, everyone wants to dress up as Michael. Halloween night begins and Michael begins his rampage by killing a imposter Michael and taking his mask to blend in. Laurie finds Allison (she has been trying to move on since the death of her parents) she tells Laurie that some college kids are throwing a Michael myers party/haunted house at the myers house. Michael is already there rampaging through the house. Partygoers don’t know what’s real or fake (many people are dressed as Micheal) Laurie and Allison confront Micheal there for a climatic battle. Laurie and Michael stab each other multiple times, Allison gets knocked out by Micheal. Michael starts to overpower Laurie, as Michael is strangling Laurie Allison stabs him in the back, freeing Laurie they over power him together and continue to stab him until he is a bloody mess. The camera cuts to Michael’s pov (same as the beginning of the first movie when he murdered his sister) and you see Laurie and Allison continuing to stab him as his breathing and vision slowly fades to black Roll credits

I understand why some people might not like it. The first half is pretty slow and the Cory story line seems like it comes out of nowhere. I really liked it though. I feel like there is enough with Cory to get that he was made into a monster by being treated like one, but also enough to make you wonder if it was just always there. I think this is my favorite ending to a horror franchise I have ever seen. I felt like there was real closure. I am glad they resisted the urge to have a, but wait there is more moment at the end and to just let this be the actual end.

The more time that passes the more I hate this movie hahaha. Last 30 minutesish did help a bit tho

EJ Roldan

This was definitely the weakest of the three, which isn’t saying too much given the overall quality, though I did enjoy the first movie in this trilogy.

Champion Bescos

I enjoyed this a lot more with a rewatch. I really enjoyed the last 20 minutes of the ending and I see the idea in this movie. If the Corey story had spanned across the previous 2 films I think folks would have liked it a lot better.

No top gun maverick this week...😟

I get the vision and meaning they were going for... but it was executed poorly. Such a great start to a reboot to end up like this rip

Kurumi

Where the scream movies at ??

Can't wait to watch this. This movie felt a lot like the 3rd movie from the og run. They've sort of established now that there's something bigger at play. Would be dope to see them explore this "evil" and its various manifestations in Haddenfield. I'd love to see someone do an anthology style tv series with it or even a movie with different intertwined stories (Trick R Treat style), based around people being consumed by the evil in different ways, becoming the "shape" of evil. In fact now that Halloween has "ended" I would love to see a new trilogy called "The Shape" or something like that. Doesn't need to be set on the day of Halloween.

Next movie gonna start with Corey waking up someway somehow to be the new Michael Myers or "Boogeyman"
