Why did Netflix and Peacock pay for a show that 90% of people only listen to in the background? This show was around long before streaming services existed. In 2020 people spent more than 57 billion minutes watching the Office on Netflix. It was by far the most viewed show. When you just make stuff up it tends to destroy any credibility that you have. There is never a need to use the word literally unless there is the possibility of something being taken figuratively. It would be like if someone asked you what time it is and you said "It is literally 3:15. It is an unnecessary redundancy. You didn't actually address anything that the op said. Your comment was basically "You don't think exactly the same as me therefore you suck. Why would anyone care about something that I do not care about?"

Shawn Brink

I see both sides of this argument, but in the end, when you have this many people reacting, they are gonna miss stuff... it's unavoidable. It could be much worse... like if they never even got a show because they spent so much time discussing why they don't get the show, so they miss stuff that would help them get the show. This is not a Normies example, but I've seen this happen on a different channel. Let's just all enjoy it together.

Tim Arnold

"If you want to watch the show, just watch it" I see this response all the time to this kind of complaint and it entirely misses the point. It's not that it bothers people when the show gets talked over FOR US, it's when the reactors miss things for themselves. Granted, it's not a huge deal here, because the plot isn't THAT important. But, not gonna lie, it's incredibly annoying when reactors miss stuff and then complain afterwards about things not making sense, or crap like that.

Tmatts

bruh its literally a 22 min sitcom that most people had on the background when it was on Netflix. why are you making such a big deal about this? Imagine analyzing reactors reactions to the degree that you're like "oh it seems like some of their laughter is weird or forced" my dude you need a break from the internet.

Brakthir

when do you want them to laugh to a comedy show??? did you get every reference when you watched it and sat their quietly laughing inside?

SnorlaX

Rttv is trash and they should be embarrassed at the quality of the content they put out for how many viewers and subscribers they have. Idk who they need to dm to get help on how to do an audio setup but god damn

joe shmoe

Are they missing that much? Maybe I'm just used to reactors missing 50% of the show (RTTV) so it doesn't seem that bad to me. It seems like they get like 90% of it consistently.

Mr. Toastman

"Family legacy" is all emotional gut sentiment that doesn't objectively mean anything.

skz

Why is it what people should expect when the cough for Parks which is the same kind of show picked up on nearly everything?

skz

I'm just saying that there's jokes and scenes being fully missed, so there's no reaction to them at all. lol It's a reasonable critique

John

If you want to watch the show, just watch it. But if you want to watch a group of 6 people react to it, this is exactly what you should expect. Should they just sit there quietly?

Noah Buk

John, I think you're taking this shit way too serious.

BLOOD ALONE MOVES THE WHEELS OF HISTORY!!!

Well I largely agree with Shawn here, it is good to take pride in your family. But I do think there's a difference between being proud of your family and acting like their achievements are your own achievements. There's certainly some people out there like this, where they try and make everything about themselves.

Tmatts

damn y'all keep missing a TON of the subtext when you're talking over the show. Sometimes its whole plot points, but also a lot of the best moments don't have any dialogue and you totally miss them. A lot of the time you're talking it's bc you're trying to understand something you missed earlier in the episode because you were talking over it lol. Weirdly some of the laughter seems kinda forced or preemptive, too. Like the kevin scenes always feel as if the laughter is mostly bc he's known as a funny character.

John

There's a whole lot to unpack here. Shawn is correct.

Chaos T

So you do not believe in the legacy of your family? The problem with the world today. Too many people do not care about family. I bet that you are taking some liberties with what your coworker actually said. If you do not take pride from your loved ones success then YOU are the terrible person. Sounds like envy to me. A loving home with enough attention to go around. What a horrible guy. SMH

Shawn Brink

michael's speech at the end reminded me of this coworker of mine who would not shut up about the accomplishments of his son and wife. NEVER spoke about his own accomplishments (cause he has none) but emphasized that HE is important because he got her as his wife and he got him as a son.........i dont see how thats a win for your own personal life journey but ok go off sis. ill join in: i've had sex models and millionaires. i didnt make millions but i got with a dude who made the millions lol SO DUMB. that is not an achievement lol oh humans

rickie woodson
