"i just really don't plan on being here for that long" just punches me in the gut every single time i hear it. rue means so much to me, she vocalizes so many thoughts that people with depression and anxiety have and i am so grateful for her. sam levinson misses a lot on this show imo but he always nails the rue and ali stuff because it's what he KNOWS and he should stick to it and hire other writers to do the other stuff. rue is sam's own story with addiction which is why it's so authentic and honest. i love these two episodes so much, they do what so few shows do these days and just let the characters talk and it gives us SO MUCH insight into them. people willfully decided to skip them and then had the audacity to act confused about stuff in s2. people just have zero media literacy skills these days. also fun fact: miss marsha was not an experienced actress! sam and zendaya met her on set and she told them her story and they loved her so much they brought her and her story to this episode! special shoutout to both z and coleman for their acting emmys!! very much deserved!!

Nika King & the camera man backed up so quickly they backed into a wall and after they called cut, Sam Levinson had to take a moment before they continued filming. LOVE this show
