I knew in the book he used his visual ability I can’t remember what’s called that lets you distort reality and time but he showed Izumi a life that played out and they had kids and grew old together. It’s so sad. I knew it was canon because of the book bbut they show he does it in the anime too. He uses the visual ability the moment she is killed in the anime too. I wish they had animated it, but it would have added too long to his arc.
