2022-05-28 15:58:54 +0000 UTCBasically the reason that God's exist in all cultures is because smart people realize that dumb people won't do what's best for them or what's best for people in general a lot of times without being convinced and it's extremely difficult to convince them of the truth (look at flat earthers, antivaxers, and more from the current era) and then they realize that if they told them that there's an all-powerful being in the sky that only certain people can talk to then well they can use that to convince them to do what's best for them such as getting a circumcision whenever you're living in the desert for who knows how long and you're realizing that you know all the guys are getting infections and parents aren't cleaning their kids as well as they should be so you know it's probably a good idea to get a circumcision at birth in that scenario and it's much easier to convince them of that if you tell them and all powerful being that you can't see told you to do so and also other people who were intelligent and not so nice realize this and by intelligent I mean intelligent in comparison realize that God wasn't real and then started using God as a means to control and mess with other people in bad ways such as paying to get into heaven
