2023-03-24 05:54:37 +0000 UTCSo, an interesting detail of 90's intros is kind of exposed here, as many people are surprised by a Cordy episode. There's a bit of a thing that has to do with the intro sequence. Every actor shown in the title sequence is a main character of the show. So, this entire season, Cordelia has actually been a main character just like Willow and Xander. She's just been given much less screen time. Still, she finally got her own episode. So, when an actor is in the main intro credits, they are like a salaried employee. They get paid whether they are in an episode or not, so they always make sure to have them say at least one line in every episode. This may seem kind of silly to say, but later on in the show, this will become a big thing. If the credits change, it has a big effect on the show. Also, just a tip. Execs had a lot of say in things and they cared little for spoilers, so as a general rule, in episode 1 of any season, avoid watching the intro credits before watching the episode. Even if the cast doesn't change, they change the clips in the intro and they invariably insert some spoilery credits that can at times spoil the first episode.

Think of all the bad guys in the movie Monster Squad: Dracula, Frankenstein, The Mummy, The Werewolf, the Creature from the Black Lagoon. You know - the major horror classics.

We had The Wicked Witch in episode 2. This was their take on The Invisible Man. Keep an eye out for more as the show progresses and see if you can call them out.
