Hallo everynyan! Happy Pride~

Here are the stuff i've been drawing for the past weeks or so.. most of these are just paintings I've given up on because i got too frustrated at staring at my own art, but alas, my hiatus is about to come to an end soon now that season 4 announcement is on the way.. Wether I'm happy with my painting or not I won't have time to paint anymore after this break 🥀 It was probably the longest break i've ever taken from drawing Cherry Crush but it was much needed 😭😭😭 idk about other comic artists but whenever I script or storyboard and the story is from one character's POV it basically feels like i'm trapped in that one character's head until I've resolved the arc or move onto another POV and the way that season 3 concluded, both cherie and crush's state of mind are pretty fucked so I was not in a hurry to jump back into their heads to write AT ALL jknfgkjsafds which is pretty bad procrastination on my part but it also gave me the opportunity to explore kangshiro, another pair with wildly different dynamic, who've grown on me sooo much every since..

I was really happy that I got to write for a couple that nobody knows as intimately as CherieCrush yet and the fact that their side comic got to 15 episodes is pretty insane 😭 the plot for the comic was pretty silly and mundane too, i structure it like a romcom so plot points could move pretty fast yet I kept finding moments where I was like "No... don't just gloss over that, ADD another panel to this scene, write another line here..!" and bam 15 episodes later I got this word vomit of a side story that should've ended at 10 😭 to me it was a pretty fulfilling experience but to most cherry crush readers who've been waiting for season 4 for almost 5-6 months this probably felt like a massive waste of time .. BUT I GET IT, i feel that too... everytime I draw something that's not Cherry Crush it feels like i'm not being productive, if I'm not working on the ONE COMIC i have then what the hell am i even drawing for srsly 😭 .. i kept saying I dont want to rush but atp i'm taking way too long, even if my back and shoulders hurt I shouldn't use it as an excuse.. but also just the fact that I'm even ranting about this is so stupid like complaining about drawing yaoi when people have jobs and lives that actually contribute to society like.... i should just shut my mouth and draw man.... who gaf 💀

That being said once the Kangshiro epilogue goes up it's immediately crunch time for season 4, there won't be any more delays hopefully.. I might dial down on the art dumps and do more patreon requests and shorts so that I can have more time to work on the comic, honestly u guys aren't missing much my painting haven't been that great lately, at least the patreon requests are entertaining bc u guys are entertaining..

But anyways that's all for the yap today! Happy Pride, it's a month for gay people here so everyone is legally obligated to be gay sorry i dont make the rules it's the law👮🚨
