Just a little note: We had to wait 2 full years for season 2. Nobody could just read ahead with the manga, everyone was equally tortured by the wait.

People always seem to forget though that before the fucked up order was accidently given last episode that Lelouch had admitted defeat and was going to amend his plans to suit Euphie's plan. So Lelouch never wanted this, but this already happened and there's no going back from that. So in order to make things right he needs to go full in and win this war for all the Japanese that died needlessly and Euphie's ideal of a free nation, even though he's throwing her name in the mud. Still fucked up lol
